How can God choose your destination if you can choose freely how you will live your life? How does this work together, according to you?
We are eternally saved by God's sovereign grace, and that not of ourselves, lest any man should boast. There are many scriptures where God tells us to make choices as we live our lives here on earth.

It appears you are adhering to an old teaching of tabula rasa that was taught by Pelagius, in which babies are born without the guilt of original sin, my friend.
The theory of *original sin* is false. There is a difference between "guilt" and "taint". Only Adam was held responsible for his guilt. Not even Eve. But the impact of Adam's sin was felt by the human race. Therefore all are born with a sin nature, and all become sinners eventually, and all face damnation unless they obey the Gospel.

Wherefore, as by one man [ADAM] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Rom 5:12)

"The world" is the world of humanity. "Sin entered into the world" means that the taint of the sin nature (the flesh) affected every human being. The evidence of this is that "death passed upon all men" and all humans die sooner or later. BUT ADAM'S GUILT REMAINED ADAM'S GUILT, since a just God does not impute the guilt of another upon someone else.

Only Adam was held responsible for his guilt. Not even Eve.
"And to the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy pains and thy groanings; in pain thou shalt bring forth children, and thy submission shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."
Gen 3:16

Punishment without being responsible, without being guilty? I do not think so ;-)

But the impact of Adam's sin was felt by the human race. Therefore all are born with a sin nature
It would be impossible for Adam to sin if he had not a sin nature.

What are you talking about? Adam was held accountable for his sin, and Eve for her's. And no one else had that guilt imputed to them. Each one is accountable solely for their own sins.
It would be impossible for Adam to sin if he had not a sin nature.
Do you know how nonsensical that sounds? Adam was a direct creation of God, and was perfect. At the same time he had free will, and he made the wrong choice. To suggest that he had a sin nature means that he inherited it from someone, which is nonsensical.

a just God does not impute the guilt of another upon someone else.
36-38 Then Jesus went with them to a garden called Gethsemane and told his disciples, “Stay here while I go over there and pray.” Taking along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he plunged into an agonizing sorrow. Then he said, “This sorrow is crushing my life out. Stay here and keep vigil with me.”

39 Going a little ahead, he fell on his face, praying, “My Father, if there is any way, get me out of this. But please, not what I want. You, what do you want?”

40-41 When he came back to his disciples, he found them sound asleep. He said to Peter, “Can’t you stick it out with me a single hour? Stay alert; be in prayer so you don’t wander into temptation without even knowing you’re in danger. There is a part of you that is eager, ready for anything in God. But there’s another part that’s as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire.”

42 He then left them a second time. Again he prayed, “My Father, if there is no other way than this, drinking this cup to the dregs, I’m ready. Do it your way.”

43-44 When he came back, he again found them sound asleep. They simply couldn’t keep their eyes open. This time he let them sleep on, and went back a third time to pray, going over the same ground one last time.(Matthew 26)

Now, what cup was Jesus speaking about my friend?

7-8 God rules: he brings this one down to his knees,
pulls that one up on her feet.
God has a cup in his hand,
a bowl of wine, full to the brim.
He draws from it and pours;
it’s drained to the dregs.
Earth’s wicked ones drink it all,
drink it down to the last bitter drop!(Psalm 75)

When Jesus drank that cup, He ingested our sins(imputed our sins) and God’s wrath was fully upon Him. He was imputed our sins, so that we would be imputed His righteousness.

16-20 Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you.

21 How? you ask. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God.(2 Corinthians)

I would imagine that would depend on how "far along" you are, or how much "perfected", or mature in the Spirit you are. That is, IF you are at all!

You see? God has a "way" (if you will), in let's say, "arranging" things, or events in one's life, or along one's "path", that would resemble something like "calling" one! Tis up to the individual, in deciding, or "choosing to believe" that this "calling", is from God!

Should one "will" oneself in remaining free FROM God? Then, you have indeed exercised "free will!"

Yet? Should you "answer" His "call?" Believe it IS from God? Check it out, and allow yourself for God, to "reverse engineer" your heart, soul, mind, and spirit? You may, or may not, come to the conclusion that being with God, is where you were always meant to be!

For you see? It is not God's will, that ANY should perish! But, each individual's will TO choose! Answer the "call?" Or, go along your merry way!

In the final analysis, and ultimate REALITY? God? Doesn't NEED us! WE! "NEED" God!
SEE??? there ya go, Bear....you just ain't as perfected or as mature in the word as good old RDK is.
Everyone has an answer, and it ususally the wrong answer.

KJV Proverbs 21:1

1. The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Start with Genesis where G-d gave A & E free will to choose. They did.
He gives you and I the free will to choose to prepare and live righteously or live sinful. There are many supporting scriptures.

This follows one of the bible study rules of...(1 look for scripture which interprets scriptures. (2 Take the Bible literally where ever possible. (3 If typical, figurative or symbolic language is used...look for a literal interpretation it intends to convery.

Everyone has an answer, and it usually the wrong answer.
Would that be because they were predestined to have freewill???

All jokes aside, had Adam and the human race not had free will, we would all still be in Paradise (Eden).

The point being that without free will no one would freely choose to obey the Gospel. But that is what the Bible requires.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve... (Joshua 24:15).

For unto us was the Gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. (Hebrews 4:2)
