I really don't care for Singles being turned into another Bicker and Debate forum, but I have to say on this matter, that the word translated "helpmeet" (helpmate) is also used of God Himself. Despite the misogynistic c**p that passes for much evangelical interpretation on this subject, women are in no way intended to be subservient to men, and "women" weren't deceived; Eve was.
Oh one more thing Dino...

I def agree Misogyny is ugh, I agree. I was hoping to show how they are wrong about us, lol, not substantiate their narrow mindsets, and to make women feel better about being a woman. I like being a woman. It suits me well, :). The thing that gets under my feminine collar is when men boys tell eachother that they act, talk and throw like us to insult eachother, that is insulting to me, ugh. God Bless, sorry again if I offended.

I love being a woman.

I love being able to be a bit ditzy from time to time with no one minding.

I love being able to wear trousers(pants) in cold weather and skirts etc in hot weather.

I love being able to be a girlie girl when I want to and dye my hair purple, wear sparkly silver doc martins, enjoy chocolate and ice cream and collect teddy bears!

I love having the option of wearing my hair long/short/up/ down.

I love being able to multitask! and still do it all while surviving on 5 hours sleep, while planning 5 months ahead.

I love have genuine excuses for being moody from time to time (maybe even every month!) lol

I love having the freedom to be emotional. Like crying during worship at church or during someone’s testimony, or a soppy movie.

I think women have far more freedom to be themselves than men do. Society expects far more of men and puts way too much pressure on men.

I wouldn’t make a very good man but I am an expert at being a woman! 😁

I apologize if my post was offensive. I just was thinking about His strength being made perfect in weakness, so maybe we are stronger because of it, lol. It made me smile. So I posted my thought traveled. I did not know that about helpmeet. I do see how being called to be servants is an honor and it is for everyone. I like your way of thinking, it is easier to swallow. But don't you think they are suppose to be the leaders? I get your frustration about brushing all women with one stroke because of Eve. I just figured most women tend to believe what ppl say, trust them easier. Do u think that is true, Dino? I should have said, because Eve was deceived, because it is why we all share the consequences of her actions. I do think regardless who was in the garden, us men an women would have messed up, because we all need Jesus.
No offense taken. :)

Regarding "leaders", some men make good leaders in some situations, and some women make good leaders in some situations. For a wide variety of reasons, most men don't make good leaders! Scripture never declares that men are to lead in every situation! In broadly general terms, a higher percentage of men than women are assertive and will promote (or push) their ideas for others to accept and/or follow.

Adam and Eve both take the blame. Although, in Romans 5 it says sin came through one man, Adam.

I know Dino pretty well and I'm pretty confident he didn't mean that he was offended. It was more a statement of facts. I do believe God designed it where men lead women. There does need to be a final decision falls to the man. I also believe men are to love us as Christ loved the church. I had a Male friend describe it this way: "I do have times where I am selfish. I'm human. BUT my goal as a husband is to sacrifice for her, to put her above me and God above both of us."

If you ask me, they have it harder. It's a great responsibility to love a woman as Christ loved the church.

I don't believe we are the weaker sex. In physical strength? Yea. Overall I think the weaknesses and strengths of men and women compliment each other. :)

Personally, I LOVE being a woman. Love love love it

I couldn't agree with you more, especially about complimenting each other. and with regards to the responsibility that a man has in how they are to love their wives. I am glad to know I didn't offend. I don't know you all like you all know eachother. I see lots of history here. I love it. I look forward to getting to know y'all. Many of you have been so kind and welcoming in including me, as well as so clever and fun with me and I really reallllly appreciate it.

Acting Like a Girl?

A. The Bible tells men to act like men.

B. If a man does not act like a man, then he's failing to be what God created him to be, and he's actually going against Biblical principles.

C. If a man is acting like a girl, that would, in effect, be to NOT ACT LIKE A MAN.... and a man is supposed to act like a man.

D. If a man says to another man, "STOP ACTING LIKE A GIRL" there is nothing biblically wrong with that.

E. A girl many hear "stop acting like a girl", and feel insulted... but what the man actually means is "ACT LIKE A MAN."
This is just a man's way of saying, "act like a man."

G. If the phrase "act like a man" insults anyone, that has nothing to do with me... you have a problem God, and with the Bible, and with nature. (This comes directly from scripture.)

F. There is nothing wrong with a girl acting like a girl:
girls are wonderful, girls are truly wonderful, and all of their unique traits are wonderful, and all the ways in which they are different than men is wonderful...
however, there GENUINELY IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH A MAN ACTING LIKE A GIRL.

- Being a girl is a wonderful gift which God gave to... girls.

G. Therefore, it is NOT an insult to act like a girl if you're a girl... that's a wonderful thing.
However, it is, and SHOULD be an insult for a MAN to act like a girl... because he isn't a girl, and he's supposed to act like a man.

Our modern culture has just made HUGE issues out of very simple things.

Bible

KJV
Job 38:3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
ESV

Job 38:3 Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me.
This verse means, literally, ACT LIKE A MAN!
(There are a lot of verses that touch on this general topic.)

Conclusion:

I think girls are wonderful,
but we should revel in these wonderful differences God created,
not be upset about them.
