I didn't mean he's never answered me for years about anything, but rather that he has never answered about these things. I can find answers in the Bible for many things, but the answers I'm looking for I can't seem to get it just from the Bible alone. So yes, he's answered before, but not about what's bothering me.
Do you think God gives specific answers to our questions or requests?

Yes. He did to me many times. He did to Job and many others. So he does, but not so much to our ears, but rather through the spirit, his word and other people in the holy spirit.

Well if God has not given you direction, do you think maybe He is okay with you making a decision (since I am assuming it is not a moral question since those things are covered in scripture)?

Have you ever actually trusted God to see you through any difficult time? Some times, it takes our own faith to initiate God to react. He is there wanting to help you, but it takes a true desperation to want God's help.
I am not in a difficult situation, I'm doing now physically and financially better than ever and a little better spiritually. This is all just thoughts bothering me, curiosity that isn't needed to be filled, I can live without it but it still deeply bothers me. I wish I could just understand and get the negativity out of my head. So yes, and the Lord truly has helped me in desperate times and have me answers what to do about those things. I was homeless this January, I asked him what to do, he told me where to go and how to feel and how to view the homelessness, and then later I got a job, got a place, God found someone to get rid of all my debts, to give me their car to get to work, and so much more. If I didn't get that from the Lord, there's no telling where I would be today. But it's no coincidence other Christians found me and helped me that much and everything kept happening at the right time I needed it. There's countless other things the Lord has had me to do, but more often I know he leads me by the spirit he gave me, not just talking to me.

Again, this isn't a situation where I have to do something. Nothing bad is happening to me really. I'm not looking for physical, financial, mental or even spiritual direction necessarily, but just something to fill my curiosity about these few things that bother me because they don't make sense to me. That's all, it's just me thinking and trying to understand something that has nothing much to do with what's going on in my life. I don't think this answer would change my life if he gave it to me, it would just help me stop being emotionally bothered by it. Maybe that's why he hasn't given me the answer because it's not a need, or maybe it's one of those things to understand when we get to heaven.

Perhaps best you not think on it so much, if you can.

Or he good spill the beans instead of making vague references to "something in his curiosity".
I see what you're getting at, I know exactly what you mean, my comments were intended to be vague because I was asking for someone to have a personal conversation with me, and as you can see a lot of people on here are just negative buttholes looking to just be mean. So I'm not going to put my personal feelings or specific information completely out to everyone so all those types of people can just come and rant, rumble, and curse and stuff like that. I'm going to bring up the subject to people who are ready to chill out, have patience and are looking to help somebody no matter what the subject is

I'll try to get to it as soon as I can. I work 12 hours shifts, have a family to take care and much more, I don't even get a decent amount of sleep half the week so I'm not on the internet very often or have time to read much. It's taken me years just to even finish one thing in my hobbies because of how busy my life is with everything

I may reply soon, maybe not, depends what happens all day

How can we hear God not seen is the key.

No man can serve two teaching masters. If you cannot find your answer in the book of the law the Bible then chasing after philosophical theories as oral traditions of men surely will not give the answer you are looking for.

One things I learned earlier is that doubt is not the opposite of faith . Unbelief, no faith is.

The father of the lies who accuses the Christians day in night using doubt which is not mixing faith in what we do hear coming from God. This is when we do mix faith it what we do hear, if we do then he can soften our hearts and us have rest.(sabbath)

Study to learn on how we can hear our God called "mixing faith" in Hebrew 4 as seeking his approval . Then perhaps you might get some relief from the Bible, God's living abiding word.

Patience, the first work of God's love working in us can be the hardest . If not patient then the second work f the Spirit of Christ in us "Love is kind" cannot do its work . Our self control (if we have any) is the fruit of His Spirit not ours previously having none. It would seem you have plenty of good work to keep your self anxious. Like the Simon and Garfunkel song ...Slow down or you miss tomorrow .Pick up and count a couple of coble stones or smell the success God has had in your live. Have some mercy on yourself in view of His mercy.

He promised as the better things that accompany salvation he will not forget the good works we offer towards his name. look to the good memories when you can then you can rest in your works .Also remembering not only does he comfort us and teach us but he also actively brings to our mind the things he has taught us.

just because I can't find the answer in scripture doesn't mean it's not there. There's a lot of pastors and preachers missionaries evangelist even Elders that know the Bible much better than I do. When you read one thing in the Bible it's not always just meaning one thing all the time, God can take that one thing and show you many things and give you many understandings from such a small piece of it. So I may not have to chase after to ditions of men and their philosophies or theological ideas or things they can't prove, maybe someone does have proof from scripture and I just don't see it. That's what I'm looking for someone who knows this kind of scripture and understands it better than I do that may have the answer to this. If not everybody should just say I don't know the answer and we don't have the answer we're just going to have to wait till we get to heaven when we are given all understanding. That's what I really think is the answer to this is that I'm not going to know on here on Earth, and that's why it troubles me is I can't seem to get it out of my head and just ignore it because if I had the answers then it would really take my life a different direction, it would make many things more clear and it would get me a different perspective about this life. you see these things relate to these emotions I'm having and really all this stuff you guys are saying I already know and that doesn't help because I already know it and I've already tried focusing on that, and it's worked for a lot of things but it doesn't solve my emotional problem. my emotional problem has a basic relation to the fact that I am simply a sinner or that I ever was a sinner. God is not going to change the fact that I ever lived in sin. What can anyone do or say to comfort me or to change my mind that I feel bad that I was a sinner and that I still sin? Whenever I was unsafe and I would think all these negative things about God, I didn't want to keep believing these bad things about God to hate him, but I just wanted the truth alone. When I seek his word for truth even if I had a doubt that the Bible is even correct or not, I had found things that changed my perspective and it changed what I believed. it wasn't easy to just simply read the Bible and get those answers it took some thoughts and understanding and even dwelling on those words and praying for understanding to make those things clear. Reading the Bible led me to this question. If I had not read the Bible I would not be thinking about this question. so one question we could ask about this, is this one of the things I need to just ignore while I'm on this Earth and wait for the answer when I get to heaven, Or can something be done about this and I can't find the answer somewhere in Scripture? Of course the questions I have mainly have not been mentioned in this public message but it's been mentioned to a few people privately. But I am telling you I am not seeking after answers that come out of men's heads, I'm seeking the answer from the Lord and maybe he has shown you the answer and maybe he has shown you the answers

Exactly that's my point. How can we hear God amongst the noise or philosophy of men?

But how will you know when you do find it? Ask yourself .Am I searching for God and seeing he knows what we need before we ask, it will find you out..... knowing His word is alive and is able to judge the intents of our purposes . looking for deeper fellowship? Many here provide kind godly answers .

Sounds like you are worn out perhaps rest in Him, take short naps giving him time to heal our physics' or damaged emotions .

How can we know if it's God? No offense, but are you seriously asking that? Have you ever heard of a time that God did not make himself clear? Do you really believe God tries to speak to someone and when he tries they never find out it was him? Or do you see that every time God is speaking to us He makes himself clear because he is not a failure to reach us? Whenever the Lord was trying to tell me something I don't go is that God talking to me or is that just thoughts in my head? when it's the Lord I know it's not me and I know it's not just some crazy thoughts, I recognize what the holy spirit is telling me. all I can say is that the Lord living in me knows how to recognize itself in the holy spirit, so it's not some special gift that I have and it's not that I have learned this, it's just natural to know the voice of the Lord when you're saved. The Bible does teach that the Lord's people, his sheep, they know his voice. he didn't say some of his people and some of his sheep know his voice he meant all of them do. I think the time we're questioning if we hear God is if we're trying to listen with our ears or if we're always thinking of bunch of things and we want to know if what we're thinking is God talking to us or if it's just thoughts in our heads, but trying to listen to God with our ears or wondering if the thoughts in our heads is him, that's a foolish ways to try to hear God. But of course, hearing him in any way may be possible, but it's not really the case now how he works.

Xethea,
According to Revelation 12:9 the devil is currently the deceiver of all mankind.
How he does this according to 2 Corinthians 11:14 is by masquerading as an angel of light.
What this means is that many who believe their illumination is that from the Lord, are in fact being deceived by Satan.
I would therefore not worry to much, as you, I, and everyone currently cannot tell where the source of every answer we believe to be true illumination originates.
The good news is that once the devil and his angels are cast to the earth (Revelation 12:9), his deceiving of the saints will then come to a close. Hope this helped.
Got to go now, off to Thanksgiving with some in-laws.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

2 Corinthians 11: 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

I'm looking for someone who is a Christian of any age who would be willing to take quite awhile to discuss some issues I'm having with God and between my feelings and thoughts and perspectives.

I'm going through big emotions that are about to drive me quite far away from God than I've ever been since I wasn't saved.

I've been saved since April 2011, but my reasons for being saved aren't like anyone else I ever heard of. My testimony would be complicated and extremely long to explain, but that's not what I'm here to do.

I'm even contemplating suicide as I have many times in my life because of these feelings and thoughts.

So I will be negative, but I don't want to be and I hope to find an answer that can convince me to feel and think differently, because nothing from a pastor, counselor, friend or family, even the Bible so far, has not convinced me otherwise.

I'm only on a break right now at work, but please reply here or send me a personal message if you're willing to help out a brother in Christ.

We could plan a time to discuss these things or something.
I really need someone's help... God hasn't answered me for years and no one else has convinced me otherwise.

Note: I do have Christian chat app, but if it somehow requires fast internet, mine would be slow.
I would be a good person to speak to - I've been where you are.

When you're in the dark place, you need somebody to show you the light.

Do you want me to phone you?
