I don't believe Jesus would make a parrable as detailed as the one about the beggar Lazarus if there was no hell and people would not suffer there..
And what does the Lake of Fire do, but completely destroy.

With that in mind lets read more from Paul in the book of Romans::

Romans 7: KJV
9 "For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. {10} And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death."

When was Paul alive without the Law ??? When He was an innocent little one..
I think we have gone full circle now.

Something that is revived was woken up. Which means it existed in a dormant state.
However, I don't think the Apostle is addressing original sin in this passage. He's talking about the law.

Romans 5:12-14
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

This is my exact point. A half truth. John 3:17 represents the desire of the Father, not the will. Not everyone will be saved, though God wants that to be the case (that everyone repent). Yet people do not repent, for any given number of reasons.

As for your last question, God's foreknowledge doesn't infringe upon the will of the individual to repent and believe, and then become saved. His salvation is a free gift obtained through belief at the conviction of the Holy Spirit. He draws and people repent. Saved by grace through faith.

The view you present is as if God determined that Lillywolf would be saved, but John would go to Hell. That He purposed for this hypothetical John to be separate from Him, and you to be with Him for eternity. The problem with this line of reasoning is that it contradicts the desire of the Father, that all be saved.

Now, I must ask you. If the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement (as scripture says) who is without excuse? Everyone, for all fall short of God's glory and the Spirit convicts the world. Let us not forget too that creation also reveals the Father. We even have testimonies of Jesus visiting people in dreams and visions, revealing who He is. Do you truly think that God, righteous and just, would allow anyone to not have a chance to repent? He, throughout all of scripture, does it time and again, giving the opportunity to repent.

Universalism contradicts scripture, it is in opposition to the truth. Consider the parable of the sower and how the devil came in to steal the word out of their hearts "lest they should believe and be saved." That the enemy is trying to hinder the salvation of others clearly reveals the faulty logic of Universalism as a doctrine.
You realize we have nothing to do with our salvation?

You refute the scripture then that says God saved those who were his before he created the world.
2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

And what does the Lake of Fire do, but completely destroy.
Destroys what? When the soul returns to the God that gave it and the flesh to the dust from whence it came.

Was Hell in the Original Bible?

Was "hell" in the original Bible? No, the word "hell" did not appear anywhere in the original Hebrew Bible, or Old Testament (OT). Not in a single verse! Furthermore the word "hell" is also very hard to find in the New Testament (NT). You can easily confirm this by using an online Bible search tool to scan various Bible translations for the word "hell." Or you can refer to the table below, which was produced by Gary Amirault, a Bible scholar who has extensively researched the question of "hell" as a biblical teaching. I have added two translations to Amirault's original list: the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB), sponsored by the famously literal and conservative Southern Baptist Convention, and the New American Bible Revised Edition (NABRE), produced by more than a hundred Bible scholars working for the Roman Catholic Church. Amazingly, even the most conservative Bible scholars now agree that the God of the Hebrew prophets never mentioned "hell"―not even a single time―in Biblical chronologies covering thousands of years! You can confirm this astounding fact by reading the Bible and verifying that "hell" was never mentioned even to the worst people at the worst times! The possibility of "hell" or suffering after death was never mentioned to Adam and Eve (the original sinners), nor to Cain (the first murderer), nor to the wicked people at the time of Great Flood, nor to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, nor even to the Pharaoh who defied Moses and his God repeatedly!

by Michael R. Burch, a "recovering fundamentalist"

The question raised by the table below is obvious. How can Christian churches continue to teach the dogma of "hell" when the Hebrew prophets, speaking for their God, never mentioned anything about "hell" or any possibility of suffering after death? And why did most of the writers of the NT also completely fail to mention "hell"? Modern Bible scholars seem to unanimously agree that the Hebrew word Sheoland the Greek word Hades do not mean "hell." This is because both Sheol and Hades clearly mean "the grave" or the abode of all the dead, good and bad. King David said that if he made his bed in Sheol, God would still be with him. Other psalmists, the sons of Korah, said that God would redeem their souls from Sheol. Job asked to be hidden from suffering in Sheol. In his famous Valley of the Dry Bones vision, Ezekiel prophesied that all Israel would be resurrected and saved. But Israel himself said that he would be reunited with his son Joseph in Sheol. How can all Israel be saved, if Israel himself is in hell? Each of these verses clearly refutes the idea of a "hell" that cannot be escaped, where God is absent, and where suffering is eternal. Furthermore, anyone who studies Greek mythology or the Wikipedia page on Hades can easily see that Hades was not "hell" either, because it contained heavenly regions such as the Elysian Fields and the Blessed Isles. The Greek hell was Tartarus, and that word appears in only a single Bible verse (2 Peter 2:4). If you read my hyperlinked article below, I believe that I can prove this is the only verse in the Bible that actually mentions hell, but it was for fallen angels awaiting judgment and thus it was not for human beings, nor was it eternal.

If this subject interest you, I have created a simple, logical proof that there is No Hell in the Bible, which you read without annoying ads by clicking the hyperlinked title. Now here is Gary Amirault's table ...

Bible Study About Death
(Compiled and logically sorted by Bible Stevenson)

Note: The King James Version Software of www.E-sword.org was used for this study. All of the Old Testament verses had no mention of individuals going to Heaven. I decided to only use the Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Daniel, Hosea, and all of the New Testament books for obvious reasons. Note: But there are no verses that say after death, Christians go to Heaven. My study about “Heaven” had the same results. When in history has the majority of people been right? What matters is if one has the right faith in God.
Which then makes for the question; how does one arrive at the right faith in God if God's words are the means by which one is to arrive there?
Jeremiah 24:7
I will give them a heart to know Me
, that I am the LORD. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with all their heart.

John 5:39 You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have everlasting life; and these are they which testify about me.

Matthew Henry Commentary
John 5:39-44 The Jews considered that eternal life was revealed to them in their Scriptures, and that they had it, because they had the word of God in their hands. Jesus urged them to search those Scriptures with more diligence and attention. Ye do search the Scriptures, and ye do well to do so. They did indeed search the Scriptures, but it was with a view to their own glory. It is possible for men to be very studious in the letter of the Scriptures, yet to be strangers to its power. Or, Search the Scriptures, and so it was spoken to them in the nature of an appeal. Ye profess to receive and believe the Scripture, let that be the judge. It is spoken to us as advising or commanding all Christians to search the Scriptures. Not only read them, and hear them, but search them; which denotes diligence in examining and studying them. We must search the Scriptures for heaven as our great end; For in them ye think ye have eternal life. We must search the Scriptures for Christ, as the new and living Way, that leads to this end. To this testimony Christ adds reproofs of their unbelief and wickedness; their neglect of him and his doctrine. Also he reproves their want of the love of God. But there is life with Jesus Christ for poor souls. Many who make a great profession of religion, yet show they want the love of God, by their neglect of Christ and contempt of his commandments. It is the love of God in us, the love that is a living, active principle in the heart, which God will accept. They slighted and undervalued Christ, because they admired and overvalued themselves. How can those believe, who make the praise and applause of men their idol! When Christ and his followers are men wondered at, how can those believe, the utmost of whose ambition is to make a fair show in the flesh!

I thought that it was my new commitment to living for God on May 25, 1967, was why I was born again from meek self-righteousness, until I heard a sermon by a Calvinist pastor in Germany. Then I did research on predestination and election. But also my other over 200 Bible word studies showed that free choice exists too. What does it mean to accept Jesus as not just one's Savior but also one's Lord. And the Holy Spirit never yells or is a dictator. God the Father is not limited by current time and knows all and allows even bad to happen. He is so wonderful.

Excerpt:
As men are ordained to eternal life through the providence of God, it likewise is part of that providence to permit some to fall away from that end; this is called reprobation … Reprobation implies not only foreknowledge but also is something more… (Summa Theolog. I, xxiii, 3)
What and how much that something more is, the Summa Contra Gentiles makes clear:

… just as God not only gave being to things when they first began, but is also – as the conserving cause of being – the cause of their being as long as they last … so He also not only gave things their operative powers when they were first created, but is also always the cause of these in things. Hence if this divine influence stopped, every operation would stop. Every operation, therefore, of anything is traced back to Him as its cause. (Summa Contra Gentiles, Book III.)

I don't understand that at all. It seems that you rely on attempted additions to the Holy Bible instead of relying just on God's Word. The warnings at the end of Revelation are commonly done by most preachers too.

What warning would that be?

I thought that you could look in a Bible for yourself.
Revelation 22
12 “And, behold, I come quickly;
and My reward is with Me to give every one according to his work.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and The End, The First and The Last.”
14 Blessed are they who do His commandments,
that they may have right to the Tree of Life,
and may enter in through the gates into the City.
15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters
and whosoever loves and practices a lie.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.
I am The Root and the offspring of David, and The Bright And Morning Star.”
17 And The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.”
And let him (or her) who hears say, “Come.”
And let him (or her) who is thirsty come.
And whosoever will, let him (or her) take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the Prophecy of this Book:
If anyone shall add to these things,
God will add to him (or her) the plagues that are written in this Book;
19 and if anyone shall take away from the words of the Book of this Prophecy,
God will take away his (or her) part out of the Book of Life, from the Holy City,
and from the things which are written in this Book.

And 1-- The 1050 New Testament commandments in groups with verses
https://app.box.com/s/eptflx12r976xb2t569abnavicnsd3qo
which the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ help us with.

John 16:13-14

"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all Truth;

for He will not speak on His own authority,

but whatever He hears He will speak;

and He will tell you things to come.

He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you."

Jesus Christ had the human experiences, so He knows the best timing for certain truths being given to a true Christian.

I thought that you could look in a Bible for yourself.
Revelation 22
12 “And, behold, I come quickly;
and My reward is with Me to give every one according to his work.
If anyone shall add to these things,
God will add to him (or her) the plagues that are written in this Book;
19 and if anyone shall take away from the words of the Book of this Prophecy,
God will take away his (or her) part out of the Book of Life, from the Holy City,
and from the things which are written in this Book.
I know the Revelation passage. I was asking you to clarify your meaning. There is a discussion about this text on board already. Verse 18 speaks of John's revelations. Not the Bible itself.
You do realize that Apologetics, Bibliology, Soteriology, Theology, and other studies in faith all expound on the meaning and intent of scripture don't you?

I don't care about such opinions.
And no prophecy in the Bible is for private interpretation, meaning opinions. Those are facts and some of course are yet to be fulfilled. True Christians will not rely on opinions by religions, denominations, and preachers. They should be discerning all that they hear and read through the filter in relation to what they know of the Bible. Do a word search of the word "opinion" in the Bible. You will be shocked. 3 times in Job 32 when one of his adversaries rebukes him. In USA, we are overwhelmed with opinions everywhere. I have shared the severe warnings with many about adding or subtracting from God's Word. But most sermons and Bible study books add and many "sinner's prayer"s of easy believism and Grace only preachers subtract from the truths in Romans 3-10. We should be focusing on learning more and more the facts in the Bible so we can know what is true and false in the news, in sermons, in radio and TV programs, and in the Internet, and in other books.

***If Christians were doing what Proverbs 3:5-6, Philippians 2:1-5, and Ephesians 4:11-16 say,
they would be for almost all of the same things
because they would all be guided by The Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ (John 16:13).
Learning the mind of Christ means learning to think as He does.
But most Christians just want to focus on religious rituals, feelings, opinions, gossip, and slander instead.

Most preachers I have heard use Bible verses out of context and opinions and psychology.
I prefer verse by verse or careful word study sermons. Usually contexts of verses is very important.
I am just for what the Bible says.
I am not for arguing about denominational distinctives or spiritual theories.
Having the right faith in God and the Bible is what is important.
Our desire to become more Christ-like should be the result of such faith.

***The word “opinion” is found only 3 times in the KJV Bible,

all in Job 32 in one of Job's friend's exhortation speeches.

And modern media (especially the talk shows) and gossip times (especially in Christian churches)

are mostly negative opinions.

Arguments about feeling and opinions do not bear fruit;

good discussions do bear fruit when participants want to learn.

And remember the warnings in the end of Revelation about adding or subtracting from the Bible?

And what about the words “learn” and “know”?

The Bible emphasizes knowing absolutes and learning experientially,

and the Greek word in the New Testament for intellectual know are in bad contexts.

And what about the two wisdoms mentioned in 1 Corinthians 1-2?

How many kinds of truth are there and which kind should a true Christian be daily learning?

Philippians 2:1-5 and Ephesians 4:11-16 indicates a top priority of Christians

should be learning Jesus Christ,

how He thinks and how He ministered when He was in human form.

And God said,

“So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth:

it shall not return unto Me void,

but it shall accomplish that which I please,

and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” [Isaiah 55:11]

*** Poem That Teaches
JUSTIFICATION frees from sin.

SANCTIFICATION frees from the power of sin.
GLORIFICATION frees from the presence of sin.

JUSTIFICATION is for the repentant sinner.
SANCTIFICATION is for the surrendered disciple.
GLORIFICATION is for the victorious saint.

JUSTIFICATION takes care of the past.
SANCTIFICATION takes care of the present.
GLORIFICATION takes care of the future.

JUSTIFICATION changes the attitude.
SANCTIFICATION changes the character.
GLORIFICATION changes us from mortal to immortal.

In JUSTIFICATION, Jesus is our Savior.
In SANCTIFICATION, Jesus is our Master.
In GLORIFICATION, Jesus is our glorious King.

JUSTIFICATION is our title to Heaven.
SANCTIFICATION is our fitness for Heaven.
GLORIFICATION is our entrance to Heaven.

High IQs and a lot of head knowledge usually go against truely knowing and understanding God and His Word.

~ importance of Bible study

***God said,
“So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth:
it shall not return unto Me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” [Isaiah 55:11]

And good Bible education is rare in most Christian churches.

2 Timothy 2:15
“Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God,
a workman [or workwoman] who does not need to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”

Isaiah 28:9-10
“Whom shall He teach knowledge?
And whom shall He make to understand doctrine?
They who are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breasts.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.”

***I hope that you will try the logical indenting method of Bible study.
There are directions and samples in the My Bible study tools-- http://livingforjude20to25.wixsite.com/for-bible-study .
I learn every time I do such and I have been doing it since September 1977.
This format is easy to lead a Bible study discussions with. I have enjoyed doing such in the past.
In a home Bible study in 1975, a legally blind man saw from my formatting of Ephesians 3-5
that there are three groups of 7 commandments.
I also have done logical bolding and underlining and sometimes have added thought-provoking questions.
I have been careful in doing word studies,
not taking verses out of context
and carefully doing logical groupings with the group titles that The Holy Spirit gives me.

Good night, Bill.

Everyone here shares opinions about scripture and what it means. Bible scholars and those that specialize in particular fields of study concerning the scriptures share educated opinions and also that which is derived from the historic record of the Bible and its compilation over time.

High IQs and a lot of head knowledge usually go against truely knowing and understanding God and His Word.
There's a world of things one could say in rebuttal to that observation. I'll just say, when it works for you, that's all that matters.

So many false doctrines that are not pleasing to God.
Ephesians 4:11-16

11 And He [Jesus Christ] gave some, Apostles; and some, Prophets;

and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 for the perfecting of the saints,

for the work of the ministry,

for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 till we all come in the unity of the faith,

and of the knowledge of The Son Of God,

unto a perfect man,

unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

14 that we henceforth be no more children,

tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine,

by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,

whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 but speaking the truth in love,

may grow up into Him in all things,

Who is The Head, even Christ:

16 from Whom the whole body

fitly joined together

and compacted by that which every joint supplies,

according to the effectual working in the measure of every part,

makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Philippians 2:1-5

1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ,

if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit,

if any bowels and mercies,

2 fulfill you my joy, that you be like-minded,

having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory;

but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

4 Look not every man [or woman] on his [or her] own things,

but every man [or woman] also on the things of others.

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
