Let.s say you have a son..and he did something terible, hurt someone or broke something...you as a parent, would you send him to burn in hell for eternity because of that?...i guess not, cause he's your son and you love him...so i ask you..how could God punish people with an eternity in hell because of their sins...God, who is pure love...he could to that? Isn.t that a little cruel?

God is a Just God. He doesn't send folks to eternal damnation, they CHOOSE eternal damnation by denying Him.

Don't blame God for being Just...........blame the folks who deny Him for being stupid

Welcome to CC, Nekka...

Your question is fair, but misguided.

Start with the understanding that we are God's creation... mere clay in His hands. Add to that the nature of God: holy... wholly separate from us other than that we are made in His image.

When you define things like "love" in human terms, you will arrive at the incorrect conclusion. When you begin with the nature of God, and allow your concepts to be defined on that basis, your conclusion is far more likely to be correct.

"Eternity in hell" or however judgment is meted out is the choice of those who are sent there. They have rejected God.

How can they choose when God chose those by name for salvation before the world, and the salvation principle, came to exist?

Not gonna argue your belief in Calvin here...........goodness...........don't miss a chance to jump into it do ya? :)

I don't understand why you Calvinists bother, I mean, if you REALLY, REALLY BELIEVE you were predestined, there is NO sense in arguing the point is there? Only reason to debate/argue is because you might have a wee bit of doubt? Huh, huh?

:)

Everyone had a choice to either follow the world or follow the Christ.
Christ is peace, love, justice and mercy.
If one chooses the world, death and destruction will follow.
That is hell.

What do you think is the purpose of creation?

It all boils down to . . . "Daddy! I really want to go to hell! Please?"

God is just giving them what they choose.

The human race behaves basically like a bunch of unsupervised children except we are not children. We are composed of men and women with power and strength to carry out the most horrific and violent acts. Just look at history.
What is God’s ultimate response to us? Forgiveness. Total and free Forgiveness if you repent in his son Jesus. I would say that is pretty kind. How do you find anything unjust in that?

I think the very first part of your analogy contains a common but fatal error.

Everyone is not a child of God.
Every human is not a child of God.... so if some people go to hell, that in no way indicates God's own children go to hell.

You become God's child when you receive Christ as your savior - when you are "born again", spiritually, into God's family.

Calvin is the go-to of those who aren't equipped to show respect for Apologetics study. And it won't get any better.
In point of fact they were speaking to me. I'm not a Calvinist. But that doesn't stop the committed from bearing false witness every chance they get. Best to move on because if you actually know scriptures sooner or later you'll be accused too.
And by the way, what accuser bearers of false witness refuse to accept is , the Calvin doctrine was arrived at from scriptures.
