It was a sweet dream never the less. By baby perhaps you were referring to the man of your dreams and heart's desire. I love lasagna by the way. We had some yesterday but it came frozen. It still was yummy though. :)

My wife just decided to make some type of blueberry bread.

Now, one of my duties that I have taken upon myself is to wash the dishes. Even with a dishwasher this is a time consuming process as you have to rinse everything and sometimes scrub the dishes with a green scrungy to make sure it comes clean.

Well, the thing is my wife does a lot of baking. I guess I have gotten a little lazy and haven't really washed the measuring cups very good. I mean, she uses like 3 or 4 at a whack so who has time for all of that drama. So I take the easy way out and just use a towel to wipe clean and then put them away. She just complained (in a cute sort of way) that one of the measuring cups had harden sugar in it. Really don't know how that one slipped through the cracks.

I have just finished actually washing by hand the plastic colander she used to rinse the berries. I wash a few things by hand otherwise I would have to run that dishwasher twice a day. I just finished emptying the thing. Yeah, the plates were cleaned, well most, except one but I wiped the smudge off with a towel.

Seriously, I am considering giving my 2 week notice as her dishwasher as the wages (zero) suck,, but of course the fringe benefits are excellent. Actually, I have it made. It's not so bad if you think about it.

Running low on Dawn dish detergent. Not to worry, it's on the list.

Yea.. I don't really understand the point of dishwashers. I mean if you have to clean them before you can put them in then what's the point? Plus they use up electricity and water. Hard to believe that in this day and age of self-driving cars, wireless phones and 3D printers no one has come up with a dishwasher that doesn't require pre-cleaning. :sneaky:

I tend to agree with you as I am already doing half the washing before even putting the dishes in the dishwasher. When I was single I never had a problem hand washing and air drying. Of course, this is coming from a guy who ate off paper plates using a plastic fork. Forget about those commercials too that claim that you don't even have to rinse or scape off cooked on food as their dish detergent can handle even the toughest baked-on grime. If will offer a tip though, to easily remove baked-grime fill the dirty dish with water and Dawn and a Bounce dryer sheet. Let soak 10 minutes. The stuff can now be easily removed using a green scrungy and with minimal elbow grease. My wife taught me this trick. Very effective time saver. I still have a lot to learn.

Yeah, well things got a little crazy in the kitchen as my honey was popping in the pizza into the oven. There is nothing like fresh-chopped vegies and various meats on top to get to whet your appetite. Basically, a frozen pizza but with my wife's loving touch. I'm not kidding, her stuff is better than Domino's. Just gave her a little 'hug' of appreciation, a loving touch of my own. The smoke detector did not go off during this episode even though it was hot stuff - the pizza. Maybe it was the pepperoni.
Its good to keep it spiced. 😏

Being with your honey and showing intimacy and affection is the spice of life. :)
So true, to many of us ( me included) can get to tied up with life or in a routine, we forget how to live and take our loved ones for granted.

Keep it going my friend, don't fall trap to routine. Keep it spicy, spontaneous and fun.

It was cold today in Florida for the second straight day.

Normally my wife Darlene walks around the house barefoot wearing shorts and sleeveless shirt but today she had on long pants, and what is rare for her, a wooly sweater, and house slippers too to keep her feet warm and cozy.

During our daily devotions I said a prayer for God to put in end to the sub-70 temps as we had suffered enough. My wife thought that was amusing and I am sure that she thinks that I am a little nuts as well.

I noticed that she was in the kitchen chopping veggies for dinner and looked kinda cuddly and adorable so I went up behind her and gave her a special type of hug. Also this was a way to get warm. She loved the special attention and affection and said "Oh, daddy...".

Oh yeah, chili today but hot tomale.

It was just online kitchen flirtation, nevertheless it made me swoon. We shared recipes. He loves to cook and we exchanged pics of what we cooked. And then it was over. Nothing lasts forever so it is best to make the most of it while it lasts.
I know what you mean you cook up a great meal and before you know it it's gone... but you say it tasted sooooo good why is it all gone? That's how it was on Thanksgiving, we shared in the preparation and then we ate and now it's all gone? Why? I swooned over that too....

Yes, but the turkey was moist and flavorful. The cornbread stuffing was lacking but then, our friend Dan made that. His rolls were kind of doughy but tasted OK. All in all, it was a good dinner with family and friends. Oh, strawberry cheesecake you made, excellent.
