^ THEN, Matthew 24:4-8/Mark13:5-8 start off with [what comes AFTER that ^] when they START OFF talking about "the beginning of birth PANGS" (parallel with Luke 21:8-11). And the INITIAL "birth pang [SINGULAR]" found also in 1Th5:2-3 (with many more "birth PANGS [PLURAL] that follow on from there, are described in the NEXT portions of Mt24/Mk13, sequentially)

[the INITIAL "birth PANG [SINGULAR; 1Th5:2-3 ARRIVAL of the DOTL time period]" involves also the ARRIVAL of the "man of sin," so that Matt24:4/Mk13:5 "G5100 - tis - 'A CERTAIN ONE'" = the "whose coming/arrival/advent/presence/parousia" (man of sin) of 2Th2:9a (parallel with the "THAT SHALL COME" of Dan9:27a[26]--"FOR ONE WEEK [7 yrs]")]

"They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

I really do not see what all the confusion is about. All of scripture knits together quite perfectly. Pre-trib Rapture, imminent 7 year Great Tribulation, Second Coming and Millennial kingdom is the ONLY viable solution. Everything fits perfectly.

BTW evidently a Red Heifer has just been born....(could be a false start so I am just mentioning it). Really, all that is required is a 3rd Temple. When this becomes politically expedient, then I am sure that doubting amillenialists will see differently.

P.S. ...and speaking of ^ "day amounts" (supplied in Scripture)...

Jesus had said "[when ye therefore shall see] the ABOMINATION [SINGULAR] of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: ) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains..."

… well, Daniel (in chpt 9) speaks of "ABOMINATIONS [plural], but in chpt 12 of "ABOMINATION [singular]" in connection with the 1290 days [again, noting "when" Daniel was told he will be "resurrected"; and also the "BLESSED" in connection with 1335 days], and also [the singular] in chpt 11:31 (which many believe the end times [far future] are not in view until verse 35, so this in verse 31 is likely speaking of Antiochus Epiphanes as a TYPE of the far-future event; and some see these several earlier verses [just before v.35] as referring to both)
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Daniel 9 isn't speaking of the abomination of desolation, he speaking of the desolations of Jerusalem.
I don't know why you say that, because I've repeatedly stated that Luke 21:12-24 covers the events SURROUNDING 70ad:

Luke 21:12-24 - [does this sound like I think it was "hunky dory"??]

12 But before all these [that is, BEFORE ALL THESE BIRTH PANGS just listed in vv.8-11 (parallel to Matt24:4-8/Mk13:5-8), THIS has to happen---> (events surrounding 70ad, and leading up to it)--->], they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and [this part follows on from 70ad--->] shall be led away captive into all nations: [and this part means this isn't ended until this--->] and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. ["the TIMES of the Gentiles" (i.e. Gentile domination over Israel) pertains to Neb's statue/image, with Neb as head of gold, and which STARTED in 606bc, but will END at the time of Christ's Second Coming to the earth (42 mos after mid-trib/mid-70th-Wk, Rev11:2; parallel with the TIMING of Daniel 7:25,27 and Daniel 2:35)]
I'm extremely busy with work work right now, I have a deadline to meet, but I have thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and have learned a lot from it. I want to continue but I will be extremely slow in responding, so I will respond as soon as I can.

That's the way I see it. Spot on, and ties all of the Scripture together.

If you are wrong and the 3rd temple has nothing to do with the second coming you may miss the real signs. Many people are looking to literal Israel when we should be focusing on Spiritual Israel.
Disagree. Literal Israel is indeed a "sign" and we should be watching....very carefully.

Let's say the Jews in Israel today were to erect a new temple in Jerusalem;...why would the Lord be concerned with a bunch of unbelievers listening to someone standing in a new stone structure?

The temple of the Lord is within the faithful (see below).
When the Antichrist stands where it ought not stand; the Antichrist will then be standing in the hearts of the faithful (the Lords temple).

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Nonsense. Unbelieveing Israel have, must and will fulfill prophecy just the same as unbelieving Gentile Kingdoms have, must and will fulfill prophecy.

All of this is logistically IMPOSSIBLE from a preterist view. This passage alone crushes all other views with the exception of the Pre-Trib Rapture/Millennialist view.

I really cannot understand the confusion to be honest.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will (future)God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. -1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

I've posted several scriptures supporting my stance where the temple in which the Antichrist will stand is not in a stone building in front of a bunch of atheists, but will stand in the hearts of the faithful, the Lords true temple.
What do you think is meant by the beasts mouth (the Antichrist), wearing out and overcoming the saints in Daniel 7:25 and Revelation 13:7?
It means his policy which will bring about prosperity (Daniel 8:12 & 24-25), and have the whole world in love with (Revelation 13:4), will also appear great among the faithful.
Those who do not recognize the prosperity the beasts system will bring about, will then be worshipers of the beast and its system.

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Daniel 8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

Daniel 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

When they actually begin the construction of the 3rd temple, perhaps you will change your patently erroneous view.

Exactly, the true temple of God is within the faithful.
As such, when the Antichrist stands where it ought not stand, it (his great prosperous new system) will be standing within the hearts of His people/His temple.
It doesn't sound like you actually read and understood the points in my post (at link). How are your reading comprehension skills, by the way? :D

The definite article ("the") is not used when Scripture speaks of US. ("temple")

It IS used in 2Th2:4 and Rev11:1 (and Rev11:1 DISTINGUISHES between persons and "the temple"): "the temple of God"

And what is this great prosperity the beasts system going to create?
According to the Word, before the Lord returns it is going to be like the days of Noah, and like the days of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah, with all kinds of carnal cares. In other words, it looks like the material prosperity the beasts system ushers in will create a hedonistic society.
I think this hedonistic society of the beast and Antichrist is represented by the man of sin in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

So tell me, in all of human history from 70AD until the present day, when has Jerusalem NOT been trampled underfoot by Gentiles?
No, there is a future end of the Gentile Kingdoms when Jerusalem will be emancipated and Glorified.

cv5, Why would the Lord care if they built a marvelous new stone structure in Jerusalem that denied His name?
Was the Lord describing where the Antichrist should not stand, a new stone building denying His name?

You do err. Prophecy will be fulfilled....literally. And that includes a physical Temple in an earthly Jerusalem. Conjectures are utterly meaningless and without value.

Who are in Jerusalem today are comprised of mostly atheists who do not believe in loving their neighbor.
They covet their neighbors land as described in Micah 2:1-2, the reward for which will be Micah 2:3.

Micah 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

3 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.

Yes, prophesy shall be fulfilled, but it will be a spiritual prophesy of the Lords temple among His faithful, and not a carnal prophesy about a stone building amongst unbelievers.

Who and when are the people in Isaiah 65:1-2 to whom the Lord spreads out His hands all day long to behold Him, but who deny Him, and thus the Lord then ends up killing them, and replacing them with another group in Isaiah 65:11-15?

Isaiah 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

Isaiah 65:11 But ye are they that forsake the Lord, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
13 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord God shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
