This is deeply moving. (Former) Senator Bob Dole now taken ill and confined to a wheelchair, Senator Dole stands and pays great respect to president George HW Bush. A fellow war hero. God be with him.

Okay, now I'm sobbing a hot mess again...
I was too. I love yellow Labs. They have such emotive faces and are so family oriented. :( I can't imagine how he feels wondering when his person is going to take his leash again.
Mission complete dear boy. Mission complete.

George H.W. Bush funeral: Son George W. Bush speaks about his father
https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...e79db33382f_story.html?utm_term=.2a69c2cd73af

Bush broke down at the end of his remarks as he recalled his father as the “best father” and prompted applause from the crowd after saying that he smiles “knowing that Dad is hugging Robin and holding Mom’s hand again.”

When 'W' lost it at the end of his eulogy to his dad as he said these words - I lost it - I was once again a sobbing mess...
God Bless this great man and his entire family...

I was on the road listening to the coverage on the local radio station. I was thinking, I really should get these windows tinted so people don't wonder why this grown woman is crying and driving.
Very touching. His granddaughter's eulogy was very touching.

The Rev. Russell Levenson of St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston spoke at former President George H.W. Bush's state funeral on Wednesday, following an emotional eulogy from former President George W. Bush.

Levenson drew some laughs from the audience when he began his homily by mentioning how the 41st president's wife Barbara, who died earlier this year, would note that his sermons would go on just a bit too long. Levenson also discussed Bush's final days, noting that former Secretary of State James Baker, Bush's longtime friend, was by his side at the very end. (George W. Bush, in his tribute minutes earlier, said that Baker sneaked his father Grey Goose vodka and steaks from Morton's late in life.)
Levenson even mentioned Sully, the service dog who had been with the former president in his final months, joking that the dog seemingly "has gotten more press than the president in recent days."
"Mr. President, mission complete," Levenson said. "Welcome to your eternal home, where ceiling and visibility are unlimited and life goes on forever."

Yep, cried then too at the conclusion of the pastors eulogy. Especially, ceiling and visibility are unlimited. An air combat flier terminology meaning clear skies ahead for safe travel. I should have stock in Kleenex. Between this and The Passion of the Christ, where I brought purse size tissue packs and as expected, handed them out to people who were unprepared and sitting around me, I would be making a fortune right now. Sure, I'd be dehydrated but still.

<<<<That is so cool. There's George HW in the conductors window years ago.

The train this time had an open car, flatbed, that carried president Bush's casket through Texas. Little children paid their respects to a man they didn't know but honored none the less. Bless them all. The full train procession is in the rather long video above.
