I am sorry, but scripturally that is not true. it is God's will that none be lost, but God's will is not always done on this earth. What Satan has convinced the world of is that once you accept Jesus Christ, you can live anyway you want. Respectfully, you feed this concept and so we have many, many Christians living in opposition to God. Finally, if you mean "one of His own" to mean those that God saw in advance would accept Jesus Christ and remain faithful, we can agree, otherwise not.....

Readum and Repent:

1 John 2:19 (HCSB)
19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.

You are counting NON-BORN AGAIN Church Goers in your SUPPOSED formula who qualifies for a true Christian.

WE ONLY COUNT TRULY BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS, as the Scripture points out.

what if, self-righteousness is nothing more than pride in how well one appeases a broken system?

or
what if, the underlying motive behind self-righteousness is appeasement?

YOU OUR OVER LOOKING IN ONE POINT, is is NOT what you do, IT IS WHY YOU DO WHAT YOU DO, the MOTIVE behind that Action:

1 Samuel 16:7 (NRSV)
7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the LORD does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."

If your motive for doing things that Pleases the LORD, is NOT PURE LOVE FROM YOUR HEART, it is FILTHY RAGS.

Just so you KNOW, I GENUINELY SURRENDERED TO HIM OUT OF PURE LOVE when HE SAVED ME, Dec. 30, 1977,
AND I HAVE BEEN WALKING IN HIS LOVE AND, LOVING HIM, AND LOVING THE BRETHREN EVER SINCE.
Spiritual REBIRTH, happens in an moment, Sanctification of the Body is a Life Long Struggle, becoming more and more like HIM.
Surrendering is becoming a slave to the one you've surrendered to . There's only one motivation , to become theirs with no rights of your own .

No this is incorrect; this is the view of PART of scripture but scripture must be taken as a whole. What does Luke 14:26 say? Please consider the whole Bible. Jesus did not deceive anyone but to understand Jesus we must look at all He taught.
you obviously fail.to understand sarcasm...nor does the bible teach some flippant faith that we can lose like a dime at the park......so....you believe and peddle a losable salvation?

I only discuss scripture with those who can prove they've faithed into Him . Sorry , I just haven't been following your understandings closely enough .
it is amazing how you guys think you know so much, most of us don't know what we are talking about, yet you will answer certain questions.

it's almost like your beliefs can't stand up when you answer certain questions about certain parts of Scripture.

nah, that couldn't possibly be it...............

I am truly new friend. I did not say you said that. I simply made a statement because there is a false dichotomy in the church that if you are called to live faithfully it is a works based salvation. The Bible makes the point over and over that faith is accompanied by works except in the most extreme of cases.....

We have MADE THIS POINT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

SALVATION HAPPEN THE MOMENT YOU REPENT AND RECEIVE JESUS AS LORD, MEANING MASTER.

SANCTIFICATION OF THE BODY IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT THING ALL TOGETHER.

Titus 3:5-8 (HCSB)
5 He saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.
8 This saying is trustworthy. I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed God might be careful to devote themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for everyone.

So pisstoe only talks to others who've saved themselves? Hmmmm. OK.
a good question for pistol would be the fundamental chicken and the egg problem squeezed between these two air-tight bible verses John 6:44 and John 14:6

John 14:6 - Jesus is the only way to God
John 6:44 - only by God's drawing can anyone come to Jesus

Nobody teaches that rigmarole on here....and the bible does not teach or peddle a pseudo salvation that can be lost....

He agrees to the drawing and only way is Christ until he says he faithed his way in and undoes all of it. Maybe he can write a book when he gets to heaven: "How I Did it Myself and Why is It So Hot in Here?" by Pisstoe Faithings, forward by Pelagius.

THEN YOU DO NOT UNDER WHAT A BOND-SLAVE REALLY IS. It is one who willingly OUT of LOVE FOR HIM, becomes HIS SLAVE.

YOU WRONG MOTIVE IS NOTHING BUT FILTHY RAGS THAT ARE NOTHING BUT GROSS.
