I think you misread or misunderstood her post. She clearly was not mocking him...so you should go back and reread her post.

In my opinion, you misread her post and came out swinging for no reason, and that just isn't cool...just saying.
Maybe we have a different definition of what it means to talk down to a person. Maybe I spend too much time online and am able to feel the emotion hiding behind the text. Not sure but this is what I saw, a person working on their PhD lash out at someone who was gently stating that they were homeless, and even cutely pointed out that Jesus Christ was homeless. Christ did not have a place to lay His head. Mocking the least of these is exactly like mocking God.

Did the fellow respond poorly? Well, I think the evidence is there, but from the thread, it is obvious he did not start it and that the group of thugs finished it.

That is exactly the opposite of what Christ teaches us to do. We are to raise up the downtrodden and topple the haughty. Seems that around here, the downtrodden get further stepped on by the haughty.

No, you most certainly were mocking him. This was the top thread in the music section for this website when I got here. You know, Christian music is supposed to worship and adore our Lord...instead, what I find is a group of thugs beating on someone with some clear issues, that likely needs serious help. All on a Christian message board?

I find it appalling that you claim to be working in ministry.
Yeah you just signed on today and are spewing out the same holier than thou rants that this other person is. Who are you his keeper? Or perhaps him???

What have I said that is false? Who started the flame war? Who ended it? What was the content of the flame war?

I read the thread, and I know I am not blind. Interestingly, you are defending someone claiming to be in ministry but yet attacked a hurting Christian on a message board.

My...oh my...just realized where I was at...this is a den of iniquity...

Wow! Not even joined for an hour, and yet you went beeline for me! Can you say, alter? As in profile!

I did not mock him for having a brain injury. In fact, I rebuked the people who did, if you had read my post carefully. I grew up with a brother who had brain damage, I know better than to poke at people who are sick or injured. As for homeless, he said he HAD been homeless, not that he is now. Although, perhaps he forgot to mention it.

But the arrogance is another issue. A totally different matter! And it is against forum rules to have more than one profile, or sock puppet.
It's suspicious esp that he signed on right when others starting responding to the other antagonist. Timing gives it away.

I believe she would rather use her music to reach as many people as she can and let God convict and change hearts. The fact is that many people heard her sing on Ellen's show that might not have otherwise. Some are called to witness and approach in different ways than others. You can't always go to someone thumping them over the head from the start with your Bible telling them what they're doing wrong. Sometimes it's a matter of softening one's heart enough to want to listen to what you have to say first. Sometime's it's necessary to open doors gently. I love her music. It's very inspiring.

I agree but when I looked in there seemed to be quarreling going on so I posted the songs as a reminder. We are called to love others, help others and live in peace. That's all.:cool:(y)

It would be nice if everyone believed that.
We should be sharing the good news with non believers with words but also by showing them Jesus through our actions. When you walk in God's will and He calls you do His work, I know from experience that you better be listening.
At some point a person has to know what the Bible says sin is in order to turn from sinful ways. I have found people that think they do no wrong and have all the answers need to hear about sin in a brutally honest up front in their face kind of way.
There are those that are hurting, broken, that just need to hear that their is hope and healing in Christ Jesus and what they must do in order to allow Him to change their lives and fix the brokenness.
We all need to think about how we approach everyone, non believers,,,but even believers. I don't know how many people I know that quit going to church because of the Holier than thou, judgmental attitudes from others instead of a loving, helpful, and teaching approach.

Here's what the Nati asked her and her response...

“Do you feel that homosexuality is a sin?” Nati, whose broadcast is aired on iHeart Radio, asked forthrightly.

“You know, I can’t honestly answer on that, in the sense of I have too many people that I love—that they are homosexuals,”

“I don’t know. I actually had a conversation with someone last night about it. I can’t say one way or the other. I’m not God,” she continued. “So, when people ask questions like that, that’s what my go to is. Like, I just say, ‘Read the Bible and find out for yourself. And when you find out, let me know because I’m learning too.'”

She obviously knows that the Bible clearly says that homosexuality is a sin...but she doesn't admit it...she says to go and look in the Bible yourself...I don't know what to think honestly...
That's denying the Word of God before men.. She did know.. But she lied to the interviewer by stating ""I don't know""

None of us want to see anyone homeless.

I think we all have genuine compassion for those who have been through terrible circumstances.

However, all of our combined compassion cannot prevent the above post from being... well... just silly.

Actually, half my family would rejoice to the Lord a black man or a criminal would go homeless every day. When they drive passed a drunkard they say stuff like "that homeless piece of junk reaped what he sowed! Praise the Lord! " it breaks my heart, but actually, I think if my family right here would want certain people homeless, then I suspect somewhere on this site there's some people like that too. The majority of people I met don't give a crap about the homeless, but there's that small part of people that pull all their strength into helping the homeless. The thing about everything in this world, you'll always be able to find someone to agree and someone to disagree with on everything.

That time will come to be perfected after this life with the Lord, but yes we are called to mainly focus on love. Greatest of all commandments we are to love. Often times, it may be a tough way to go, but I bring up things that will cause negativity but things that aren't always negative alone, but in the end even if someone's right or wrong, if people here just look at how they respond to someone they disagree with, then they can read over their message and realize how evil and unloving they were treating someone simply over a disagreement, therefore if they know the word of God, then they know they have failed his greatest commandment.

Being right and correct in what you do or believe, isn't more important than loving your enemy or anyone else. I wish we all cared about that more. I can always agree to disagree, but for someone to change their mind or hearts on something, we must be patient and leave that to the Lord. We are to share the truth and love, we aren't called to change people, that's the Lord's job.

That is not a common sentiment among the majority of Christians.

I don't personally know any Christians who would say that, and it certainly isn't biblical.
