Are we ready to be set apart? Are we ready for the wilderness? Both can be an uncomfy places to go, but both will bring us to the rest of God alone.

My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken. How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence? They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; They bless with their mouth, But inwardly they curse. Selah. My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

It’s a hard place I’ve been there for at least 7 years now. Everthing has been
stripped bare. I cannot plan too far ahead apart from essential stuff.

I live each day as it comes.

The wilderness can last a long time the Isrealites were there 40 years.

Interestingly I’ve been reading an amazing book, it includes a part about
while there may be weeping in the night, joy comes in the morning.

In the West we have it backwards we talk about day and night - night comes
at the end.

But in the bible it refers to night then day, even the creation account
says first there was evening then morning, the first day!

Light always comes after darkness not the other way around!
Isn’t that amazing, no matter how long the darkness lasts, light is always
follows.

I was also watching a TV programme on God channel which made me think.
It was saying that before there can be a resurrection, there has to be a death first.
Get it? Night then day! Darkness then light! Death then resurrection!

Death can be physical and it will be that for each of us some day.

It can also be death of pride, death of self, death or strongholds, death or
self sufficiency, death of so many things we need to get rid of in life.

The wilderness definately is a place for stripping away of things in our lives.
I guess that’s why it is so uncomfortable.

dear. precious Miri,
it is evident that Yeshua has a-hold of you...

don't question, but just go along with His calling -
no regrets, but only continue to 'grow' and abide in His Grace,
that He has blessed you with - rest in His blessings...
