Amazing.....Jesus needs our help to maintain that which has been given eternally already.......It must be a shame to serve such a weak, inept god.....one that can save us at our worst, but needs our assistance to keep us saved.......

I am sorry Jesus...your imputed righteousness is not enough

I am sorry Jesus...your power is too weak

I am sorry Jesus....your promises are worthless

I am sorry Jesus....you cannot keep me by your power

I am sorry Jesus...the faith you begin, finish and complete lacks the ability to really be completed

I am sorry Jesus...I can yank myself from your hand and your weak inept Father's Hand

I am sorry Jesus....the Holy Spirit's seal can be broken by man which makes you weak and inept

I am sorry Jesus....faith is not enough...you should change the bible to read..The just shall live by faith and works...you got it wrong the first time

I am sorry Jesus...when you see the blood it is not thick enough or red enough...I must add my abilities and my service and works to make it effectual

I am sorry Jesus...you do not deserve the glory....I DO because I HELPED YOU get me across the finish line

ALL who embellish faith to acquire, keep or maintain salvation say the above clearly.....!!!!!

In Christ has become quite subjective. Just because one says so; doesn't make it so. By their fruits you shall know them. By the Spirit that dwells in them. For HE is LOVE and as HE is so are they in this World.
You're missing the point of the word translated "In"

en: in, on, at, by, with
Original Word: ἐν
Part of Speech: Preposition
Transliteration: en
Phonetic Spelling: (en)
Definition: in, on, at, by, with
Usage: in, on, among.
HELPS Word-studies
1722 en (a preposition) – properly, in(inside, within); (figuratively) "in the realm (sphere) of," as in the condition (state) in which something operates from the inside (within).

ACCORDING the BLUE LETTER BIBLE, your definition of Aorist Tense is IN ERROR.

The Aorist Tense
This tense is hardly a tense at all. It describes indefinite or undefined action. The word aoristos derives from an alpha privative (ie. negation) and the verb horizô (meaning "to bound") thus meaning "without boundaries". [2] With the indicative mood it is often best translated as a simple past: "I loosed."

Example: Jhn 3:16

For God so loved the world

The aorist tense is characterized by its emphasis on punctiliar action; that is, the concept of the verb is considered without regard for past, present, or future time.
Amen...two verb tenses that settle it for me....Perfect tense and Aorist tense.

And the present continuing result from a past completed action......

The action (belief) was completed in the past and it will always carry a PRESENT CONTINUING RESULT

was saved
am saved
will continue to be saved

O MY GOD, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell; but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.

John said that people who lose faith (antichrists) were never saved, period.

Why do you argue against John?

The bible says in the last days people will depart from the faith. I am witnessing this today. My country used to be god fearing, myu country has departed from the faith, in fact, the world is departing. Churches who used to thrive and be leaders in comminities, I see empty, many have for sale signs up. Or some non denomination church who took over their building (not all of them are bad. Some are very good) but even they are small and almost inconsequential in the grand scheme

God said I HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

Either I HAVE ETERNAL life Or God lied.

CONDITIONAL LIFE does NOT EQUAL ETERNAL LIFE

Stop trying to make them equal.

Then I have been lucky. I have FOUND a VERY GOOD NON-Denominational Church in Every Town we lived in. And We have moved a lot in the last 40 years.

Let's keep the context here. I was asked a question, and I answered it as honestly as I could. It was not boasting, it is just being honest.
what is the Christology of Matthew 17:24-27?

Now Billy. Let's keep the context here. I was asked a question, and I answered it as honestly as I could. It was not boasting, it is just being honest.
Neither was I when I posted something that you accused me of seeking the praise of men when I was trying to explain my thoughts on loving people.

So yes let's keep context.
You be honest and realise I'm as well.

So were you SAVED the very moment you believed? JUSTIFIED, SANCTIFIED, PERFECTED FOREVER, PURIFIED, GLORIFIED, RESURRECTED etc.?

YOU ARE beyond belief! SALVATION and SANCTIFICATION are TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS.

SALVATION is a moment in time when you Repented, and Received JESUS CHRIST AS LORD, meaning Master, out of pure LOVE for HIM. The HOLY SPIRIT enters your Heart (Human Spirit), birthing that human spirit into ETERNAL LIFE, and Pouring GOD's LOVE in that Heart (Human Spirit) to empower it to LOVE LIKE GOD DOES. Salvation was BOUGHT and Paid in FULL by JESUS CHRIST on the CROSS.

SANTIFICATION is a process were our Human Body, learns to WALK LIKE CHRIST, LOVE LIKE CHRIST, to yield to the HOLY SPIRIT'S control, learning His WORD, and HIS WAYS, AND ENJOYING LIVING FOR HIM. HE is the POTTER and WE ARE THE CLAY, learning to totally YIELD to the Potter's Hands. A Christian is not SINLESS, by as we Yield, we will sin Less, and Less, and Less, as we confess each new sin we encounter. It is a life long Struggle of being LIKE HIM, and we will not Complete Sanctification until we GENTLE THAT GLORIFIED BODY when HE returns for us.

You are SO CONFUSED, you think they are the SAME THING.

How can you say something then say that someone else said it?

...The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45

...But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Revelation 21:8

I am asked a question by someone else and answered as honestly as I can. You guys are so predictable. If I answer a question honestly,
Sorry mate but actually you are not much different
The only way to be accepted by you is to adhere to your religious traditions, many of which transgresses God's commandments. Why would I ever do that after all the Christ has done for me?
Reciprocated.

But of course it would be on both of the above.

You have your thoughts on what constitutes salvation and works as those who disagree with you do.

One day we will all find out.

Listen Seoche....nothing you say is applicable...the post is clear...it is not my fault that you cannot understand that by default all who peddle a maintained salvation in essence are saying what I posted....you have a severe inability to comprehend the truth of any given statement!

My TURN to ask a question:

What does BORN AGAIN mean to you, and HOW IS ONE BORN AGAIN?

So were you SAVED the very moment you believed?
Absolutely. (Acts 10:43; 13:39; 16:31; Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 1:21; Ephesians 1:13) (y)

JUSTIFIED, SANCTIFIED, PERFECTED FOREVER, PURIFIED,
Absolutely. (Acts 15:8-9; Romans 3:24; 5:1; 1 Corinthians 6:11; Hebrews 10:14) (y)

GLORIFIED, RESURRECTED etc.?
This is still yet future. In Romans 8:30, we read - Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. *ALL of them. *Notice how Paul uses the past tense for a future event to stress it's certainty. :D

I think that no one should follow your FALSE HUMILITY and FALSE DOCTRINES.

You are the ones who should HUMBLY ACCEPT the WORD that is planted in you, which can SAVE you.
Yes let's not display false humility and follow false doctrine and ensure we humbly accept the word that saves us.

Let us humble ourselves before our Lord Jesus who has the power the save us and has saved us by grace through faith.

Humility is calling upon his name every day and crying out "I need you today to be like you"

Rather than saying "Hey wasn't I great today and did good works"

Humility says "Thank you Jesus for using me today"

He knew Jesus when He came while these others did not know Jesus.
Simeon.

And lo, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name [is] Simeon, and this man is righteous and devout, looking for the comforting of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him, and it hath been divinely told him by the Holy Spirit — not to see death before he may see the Christ of the Lord.
(Luke 2:25-26)

how is your study going @Studyman ?
find out why Jesus calls a certain disciple "
Simon" while Matthew calls him Peter in Matthew 17:24-27 yet?

Here is why those who are so adamant against us, and where I think their CONFUSION lies:

1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV)
14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

From beginning “have been saved through faith” (Ephesians 2:8) to end “receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls” (1 Peter 1:9) salvation is by grace through faith and is not obtained or maintained by works. To say that you are born again, yet you continually reject helping your neighbor, obeying Jesus commands, and pay no heed to God whatsoever is an oxymoron. All genuine believers are fruitful, yet not all are equally fruitful.
So then we agree.
No works....no faith.
No faith......no salvation.
