Who can say for certain? On this planet, we are continuously discovering new varieties of plants and new species of animals that were unknown or thought to be extinct a long time ago. If we are still discovering wonderful things on this small, blue marble that God created, how can we know with any degree of certainty what exists light years away ? As Shakespeare wrote, "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Hamlet, Act I, scene v

There is no such thing as a Lucifer, or a supposed Lucifer fall.
And yet Luciferians abound.

Question: "What is Luciferianism?"

Answer:
One type of Luciferianism is the worship or reverence of Lucifer as a deity. Such religion is related to Satanism—though it attempts to emphasize the more “positive” aspects of Lucifer. Another type of Luciferianism is nontheistic and views Lucifer as nothing more than a symbol of mankind’s quest for wisdom and enlightenment.

The name “Lucifer” comes from a translation of Isaiah 14:12. It literally means “bright star, shining star, or morning star.” Most scholars see this as a description of Satan before his rebellion against God. Passages likeIsaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 teach that Satan was created the highest, most beautiful of the angels, but that his pride and desire for God’s own throne resulted in his being cast out of heaven and being given the name “Satan” (meaning “adversary”).

The first type of Luciferianism is really nothing more than the worship of Satan as the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Satan is venerated as a being of knowledge and light (2 Corinthians 11:14–15). The focus is on the “good” that was in Lucifer prior to his rebellion and not the evil and darkness that is associated with the name “Satan.” Though Lucifer and Satan are one and the same, Luciferianism portrays him as a god of light, a god of knowledge, and a god of magic. Luciferians seek to become gods themselves, a position attained by living a life of goodness, seeking after knowledge, practicing magic, and opening one’s mind to the cosmic mind of Lucifer. In many ways, Luciferianism resembles Gnosticism.

The other type of Luciferianism, which rejects the idea that Lucifer is a personal being, is still seeking enlightenment apart from the truth of God. These Luciferians may see themselves as lovers of light and goodness, but they are embracing falsehood. Satan does not care if people believe in him or not; he can still lead them astray.

If we are talking about extra terrestrials aliens, then a synonym would be a heavenly visitor. In that circumstance I think every Christian should agree. Hollywood (and YouTube) might have done a fantastic job at misrepresenting them, but the Bible is full of examples of non-terrestrials changing the course of history both directly and indirectly.

Satan would rather not be believed, that way he can steer mankind as if he had a nose ring on them. The real power in the universe rests in the spirit realm. Right now, that consists only of God, the angels and demons. The sooner we realize we are in a spiritual war zone, the sooner we will have discernment. Our job is to overcome the works of darkness just as our Lord did.

If there are aliens somewhere they won't be in contact with us as there is no prophecy saying so. After the millennial rule, the whole universe will be open to us. There will be no sitting on a cloud playing a harp for all eternity. Once in the family of God, we will co-rule in this vast universe.

That wheel in a wheel describes a gyroscope, and would be an essential part of a guidance system. There seems to be a lot of sci-fi in the book of Daniel.
I want to add....an honest evaluation of the words of the O.T. reveals modern flight, nuclear weapons, modern weaponery, low orbit space defences etc.....

overshadowing with wings

mounting defenses to the utmost heaven

weapons that cause people to explode in fragments and pieces

and destruction under the shadow of a cloud with the tempest of a storm that causes the earth to undulate and quake, is heard around the world, burns cities with fire, makes them unihabitable and no one helps for fear of this particular type of torment

Just to name 4 examples of MANY....most have no idea of what VITRIFICATION IS, BUT YET cities in Pakistan and India have ancient cities vitrified with bodies containing massive levels of radiation....

I wanted to wait to see the answers given before I give the response of the host from the program. His answer may not satisfy some, but it convinced me.

He quoted Psalm 115:16 "The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, but the earth He has given to the sons of men."

Notice it doesn't say God gave any other planets to men - just the earth. Now, I realize some may say "men" may not be adequate in describing aliens, but the next verse given kinda nailed it home for me.

Genesis 3:20 says that Eve is the mother of "all the living" or "all who live."

If they are living, intelligent beings, this verse states Eve would have had to have been their mother. They would have had to have come from the lineage of Adam and Eve.

So, I myself, don't believe there are alien beings inhabiting other planets.

Well if aliens are inhabiting other planets they are not aliens on that planet. The closest planet to us is Mars and Venus I dont think there is any life on there that we know of, or if they visited us they might not have survived our atmosphere.

In the heavenly realm there are angels and then fallen angels which are demons, so I suppose they could look like aliens to us.

On the basis of having read the Bible over 50 times, and also having read every classic Sci-Fi book, having started 53 years ago, I have concluded there is no such thing as extraterrestrials.

Strangely, one of the stronger series against aliens, was Isaac Asimov's Robot series. It has many books. His atheism was not the point. But his degree in chemistry and biochemistry were. He felt that statistically speaking, and from a biochem point of view, life would never evolve, at least to the level of human consciousness.

I don't see anywhere the Bible supports this. Of course, God could create life elsewhere, but I don't see it in the Buble, not even Ezekiel. And since an evolutionary atheist doesn't think it could happen, that sort of covers every base. And no, I am not an evolutionist at all! I just found it interesting that a scientist who is at the opposite end of the spectrum from me, agrees with the concept of no aliens!

I asked God if there were aliens. (answer to follow)

NOTE: Remember how he says "Ask and ye shall receive." ? I encourage asking God some of your bigger questions instead of assuming he won't answer. Ask, and don't take it back. Keep it on his plate until he answers. It doesn't matter how many years, or moments, it takes. (Spoiler alert: He is very faithful to answer. :) )

So, What is the answer? Basically, he showed me that it's impossible for there to be other entities "like us" .

I had started by asking if there was life on other planets. God asked me if I meant microbial life. I said “No, something like us. [Humans]”. He said “Do you mean that looks like you?” I said, “No. I don’t care what they look like. I don’t care if they look like soup. I mean beings that are LIKE US [meaning who we are on the inside, as beings].”

Then He showed me that those two words are the key…”like us” [mankind]. And he showed me that man measures things in terms of intellect or intelligence. And in those the angels are not only as intelligent as us, they surpass us The devil himself is declared a master deceiver. But God doesn’t measure/separate things by intelligence.

Intelligence is not the yardstick of heaven. In the spiritual realm the measurement that divides things is SIN. (You may want to stop and think about that for a while).

So, in the heavens there were only 2 types of entities. Those that had sinned...and those that have NEVER sinned.

Angels that sinned are now known as, and forever will remain as, devils. Angels that have never sinned are still just that...angels (sinless beings).

So which are we more like by that measurement? Angels (that have never sinned)...or Devils (that have sinned)? Well, by that measurement we are more like the devils because we HAVE sinned.

BUT, there is something further that differentiates us from the devils...God loves US [mankind] so much that he was moved to provide us a redemption from sin. That is something not available to the devils. That is what makes us different from the devils.

SO….

For ANY alien race to be LIKE US...they would (FIRST) need to have sinned...and (SECOND) God would need to love them so greatly that he would be obligated to likewise make a way for their redemption.

We know that our redemption required a sacrifice, right? Well it couldn’t be just any sacrifice.. A bull or goat was not a worthy sacrifice for a human. Only one creature could be an acceptable sacrifice for mankind...and that is a MAN...and a sinless man at that.

Not finding a sinless man among us, He had to send his word Jesus (which is called Christ) who also is Emmanuel...or “God with US”... to be made flesh [human] and die for us. (in this case “US” is meaning humans).

Well the same rule would apply to any alien species. The only sacrifice that would make the atonement for them would be a sinless one of their own. So God would have to send his word Jesus to be made flesh [in the alien race] to die for them as one of their own. <--and THAT is impossible because of the fact that he will only offer ONE sacrifice for sins...as stated in the following verses:

Romans_6:10 "For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God."
Hebrews_10:10 "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. "
Hebrews_10:12 "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; "
1 Peter_3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"

Any second sacrifice would equal TWICE, not once...making those verses a lie. Therefore it is a biblical impossibility for there to be aliens that are “like us”.

That wheel in a wheel describes a gyroscope, and would be an essential part of a guidance system. There seems to be a lot of sci-fi in the book of Daniel.
Ezekiel's vision seems to just be a theophany.
That's in the text.

It would seem...
since God doesn't need a spaceship to get around,
his visions of himself and his throne probably don't including spaceships.

Just thinking out loud.

The world, even popular media, is FILLED with wild speculation about Ezekiel's vision.
I'm not going to ridicule anyone for having odd views on it.
Why?
Because we're overwhelmed by odd views on it.
We're simply inundated, from every quarter, by wild speculation on this particular passage.
Even lost men, with no interest in God, have written entire books about it.

So although I'm not going to ridicule anyone for having odd views on this passage,
especially after the whole world has inundated us with wild and confusing speculation...
I will still point out that the wild speculation seems to be wild speculation.

If it is a theophany, and it seems to clearly be from the text...
then there doesn't seem to be any need of a spaceship.

And if it's a spaceship, then there are LITERAL COALS OF FIRE in the middle of it...
it's a coal-powered spaceship.

I don't think God needs to travel around in a spaceship with gyroscopes and a combustion engine,
and if he did, I don't think it would be coal-powered.
I don't think God travels around in a coal-powered spaceship.

Not only would God not travel around in a coal-powered spaceship,
but I don't think anyone else would either.

Conclusion:
1. I don't want to ridicule nice people who have odd views on an odd passage, especially after we've been inundated with wild speculation for decades.
2. However, the text seems to indicate it's a theophany.

Anyone got any more cool facts like this? I like these kinda things.

Where the bible seems to predict technologies, etc? Bring it on.

I was listening to a Christian radio show on this subject, and the response from Christian callers shocked me.

So, I'm just curious....

Do you believe it's possible God created other life/beings that exist even now in the universe - or do you think we are completely alone?
Refer to Dan 10:2-13 where a messenger from Heaven came to tell Daniel that his prayer was heard but 'the prince of the kingdom of Persia' stood against him til Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help him. Since Daniel perceived this in a vision, it appears to b heavenly warfare of some kind. There are no 'ET's' per se, but certainly wickedness in high places, according to Scripture. Mt 7:15 speaks about 'wolves in sheep's clothing' and is referring to false prophets disguised spiritually, maybe?

Does God speak to you in an audible voice?
I'll take your question as an honest one rather than a mocking or make-light-of-it one, and will therefore answer you with full disclosure, honestly.

The first time God spoke to me in what i might have called "audibly" (that is, in a VERY clear and distinct ‘voice’ and with VERY clear wording) was when I was a child (probably 10 or 11 ). I had gotten fed up with my older brother picking on me, which had been happening almost as long as I could remember. I'd finally decided that although he was stronger, tougher, meaner, faster (though not taller) and had greater stamina than I did, I was going to stand up for myself and punch him in the face as he exited my parents room where they were napping that Sunday afternoon. (The room he had to pass back through from the only bathroom we had at the time.) I knew he would turn back towards the door in order to shut it quietly, as we always did, then he would turn back towards the living room I was in, where he would unsuspectingly meet my fist coming toward his face. (I may have been more conniving.)

Anyway, with that plan and solid resolve in place, I started towards the door to be ready when he appeared. However, that’s when God spoke. He said “Vengeance is MINE, I will repay” with emphasis on the possessive.

I might have been able to chalk it up to me just remembering a scripture I’d read but couldn’t because of two things. One, it was much ‘louder’ than any thought I’d had ever had, especially at a time when I was planning something entirely different. And Two, I’d always read that verse in monotone...with every word of equal value. This was clearly not me, and I knew it. I also recognized that it was a direct quote from the bible which was immediately followed by “saith the Lord”. So I knew who it was that was speaking to me.

However, I was still stirred up emotionally because ya kinda have to do that if you’re planning on starting a fight you might not be able to win. And what I’d also noticed about what God said was that he didn’t directly COMMAND me not to hit him (my brother). So I briefly considered follow-through on my plan but, upon review, decided that would be unwise. But i was still upset and fed up. So instead of giving up entirely, I said to God “If you want to get him, Okay, I’ll let you do it...but you’d better get him good... because you know that I didn’t do anything to provoke him.” And yes, that “didn’t do anything” was a generalization because I knew I wasn’t perfect. And I’d meant it that way.

And knowing someone would ask and I’d have to follow up with another post anyway, I’ll just tell you what happened.

Within two weeks my brother developed debilitating asthma (which stopped him from physically manipulating me), and nosebleeds that basically wouldn’t stop. I still can see him lying for long periods with his head on our mom’s lap, with her stroking his head consolingly, waiting for the nosebleeds to stop. After 30-45 minutes, she’d try to remove the towel only to find it attached to a 6-inch “blood worm” (as I called it) which she'd extract the rest of the way as he started to cry and his bleeding resumed.

At first I said within myself “It’s not enough. He’s still alive.” But after a while, when I acknowledged that MY suffering had actually stopped while HIS just kept going, I realized that all I’d really wanted was for my suffering to stop. I didn’t actually want him to suffer forever, which dying might have accomplished, and I realized COULD have happened. So then I had to start praying to reverse my original prayer for vengeance...and replace it with a request for mercy. To this day I refuse to pray vengeance on anyone...although God later taught me that sometimes I need to get out of his way when he is going to bring it to them.

But to conclude back on the original point...I honestly cannot tell whether God’s words came from outside or inside. So I can’t actually say that I heard him speak “audibly” (that is, to be heard with my fleshly ears). I just know I heard him speak clearly.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby

Your response (and the responsibility thereof) is your choice.

I won't say that I like the mockery that seems embedded in your comment.

Would you say the same thing about the biblical accounts of such questions?

For example, when God asked Jonah twice if he did well to be angry? Jonah 4:4 & 4:9 (I'm pretty sure God knew the answer the whole time, but needed Jonah to acknowledge his feelings so God could deal with them without Jonah denying them). Or God asking Jeremiah "What seest thou?" in Jeremiah 1:11 & 1:13.

From my experience, when God asks a clarifying question, there is no suggestion that God doesn't know the answer, but there is a suggestion that the person he's asking needs to more deeply consider some aspect of the situation.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby
