Sweets, Unleavened Bread

This past week I have been having a lot of seasonal sweets and none of my usual unleavened bread.

Yesterday I felt I had had just about enough of sweets, and I missed my unleavened bread..

This morning a whipped up some dough and had my usual unleavened bread. It is delicious and makes me wonder why I even had any of the sweets. Of course there probably is a place in our lives for sweets, but nothing compares to the satisfaction of unleavened bread.

AS I was partaking of this personal treat my mind was taken from the pure enjoyment of this unleavened bread to the Bread from Heaven, and it came to me that true happiness is to live and be as much like Jesus, Yeshua, was in the flesh as is possible .. No, I am not going to run back to Israel and give the Good news to every Jew and Moslem i encounter, but I am going to stay the course (the Way) He has given me, for this is true happiness.

It is only when we do not do our best to be like our Savior that unhappiness crosses our threshold. Be like Jesus, Yeshua; be happy.

All blessings and wonder in our Savior………..amen.

Of course you will experience sadness, but for others.

There is analogy in your comparing sweets to unsweetened bread.
Sweets are nice when you first consume them, but they have little if any nutritional value.
Too many sweets also cause weight gain, and over time are a precursor to diabetes and cancer.
In comparison, if one consumes whole grain breads (whether leavened or not), it is then for the most part nutritious.

The analogy part comes in with how one lives their life.
Many of us can choose to live a sweet life, indulging in our fleshly desires, of which the final outcome is of little if any spiritual value; or we can choose to live a life which does not indulge in our fleshly desires, of which the final outcome would be of greater spiritual value.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Yes, I did have these teachings in mind, and many others, it was simply relating my morning and what came to me from the past few days of the festive (for most) season.
