The only thing I can add to this is:

Men are meant to be attracted to the female body..Its is a work of art....Only problem I see is, he could be fantasizing about women who are not his wife.....Yes these women have physical beauty in the eyes of the world but, navigating the wrongs always seems to have the power to direct us to what is right.

Porn is a lot more available today but, what would you feel more at piece with?
Looking at porn to satisfy urges or, acting it out on others to satisfy his urges?

A dilemma!

Porn to sexual attraction is what chocolate is to strawberries (not a reference to chocolate covered strawberries). The chemicals released when looking at porn or eating chocolate are far above naturally engineered by God. By starving the brain from addictive substances you return the balance to it was intended. Then the cravings become manageable, but never disappear.

on our journey after 'conversion', The Holy Spirit begins to give us the tools that we will need
in order to begin the 'over-coming process' -
ROMANS 6:6.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed,
that henceforth we should not serve sin.

our 'past' thoughts and actions are what made us members of the 'carnal-world', but, when
the renewing of our minds begins, the 'putting-away' of them becomes our NEW PRIORITY,
'to bring every thought unto the obedience of Christ'...
there are many techniques that people use to do this, personally, for us, hub and myself, we
particularly were led to use a lot of scripture repetition and memorization along with
fervent prayer, etc. - the bottom line is that it is a 'two-fold' process, we must put
our best-foot-forward to 'over-come' and then The Lord Jesus reaches down and
finishes the job, for He is The Author and Finisher of our Faith...

we are not speaking from a high-pulpit perspective, but from a member of
The Body perspective - the process and struggle is a long, long, road,
but in the end, a great, great, joy that all who travel it will partake of...

PS. 51:10.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

ROMANS 12:2.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

This is for a real Christian that fights against porn addiction, and/or who has and won.

Even thou some Christians will be disrespectful and get on here and tell me how porn is ok, not sin... you can do a you like, but you are worthless Christians (in my opinion) any way just to let you know.... and what you have to say will be worthless.....

My son is fighting porn addiction. He gives me all electronics at night so he can not get on line. His tablet, smart tv remote and phone. But the memories, the imagines… he keeps getting plagued with in his head. I pray over him and I hear him at night begging G-d to deliver him.

What did you do to be free of porn.... and the memories of it playing in your head?

Please help me help my son.... there has to be some Christians free from this sin!?!

He won’t overcome it until he has a change of mind, a life changing revelation
where he comes to recognise the true worth and value of the people he is
looking at. Tell him to pray for the people he is looking at. Prayer for their
salvation and rescue from the porn industry. Tell him to pray that they will be
set free from the clutches of Satan.

Only when he starts to see the people as lost real people (rather then just images)
who need saving and who are caught up in a terrible industry, will he find the
strength to break the porn addiction.

While ever he thinks they are just imaginary people, in make believe situations.
He will not over come the addiction. He has to realise they are someone’s
daughter, granddaughter, cousin, mother etc and someone Jesus died to save.

Noahs son Ham was the first voyeur. His descendants were cursed by God. If you look at porn you just come under that curse. In the Bible esp Levtitucs it talks about the nakedness of...and gives stern warnings about this and keeping covered. Why because when adam and eve found they were naked they were ashamed. Their innocence was lost. This is why in heaven we will be clothed in Christ.

Jesus warns that those who are sexually immoral will NOT enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And his standards are high...looking at a woman with adultery and lust in ones heart...God will see that. It is unacceptable. Either one has a wife or one respects anothers virginity.

King david got in big trouble with God for looking at Bathesheba who was ...having a bath. She was not his wife. This led to adultery and murder...BUT he repented and was forgiven.

This is from the "Husband would rather masterbate than have sex with me" thread, but I think it is true for your son's situation.

A brother that was on this site several yrs ago told me about this guy and his book "Eyes of Honor". Not sure about his other Biblical beliefs, but I think he is spot on with this issue. Here is a short video that I highly recommend to those struggling with lust:

Yes there is victory over sinful thoughts - it involves asking God for a pure heart. Thoughts come from the heart, and it must be pure but it is not unless God sanctifies it entirely, in an instant.

When we have the pure heart, thoughrs become captive to Christ.

This teaching has been lost to the church since the holiness movement faded away but the writings are available.

No l am not walking in this but have done in the past and can testify the absence of sinful thoughts.
Scripture doesn't say that at all.Very bold statement.

You mean you have not seen it in scripture, mainly because you have not experienced it.

belongs in the 'family' forum and kids, cover your eyes

You really are weak. The majority of believers participate in this forum specifically. This would be the best place for prayer, advice, and be accompanied by brothers and sisters in Christ. I never read in the Bible where Jesus said, let's walk over here away from everyone so we can discuss this matter. Nope, I see where Jesus OPENLY discussed all issues as a teaching point. I have read enough of your posts here to make me sick!! Your forum name should have been Judas. Judas was always telling Jesus and the other Disciples we should not do this, we should not give money to that, we should be proper and etiquette. Look where Judas is today!! Known as a traitor, thief, liar, backstabber, enemy of God, betrayer, and for all assumptions included..has a guaranteed spot in the Lake of Fire!!

I'm breaking my Alabaster Oil box so you can cry about how much money we could have gotten for that and given to the poor(which Judas actually meant, to steal the money made from the profits)!!

Hi Memyselfi,

I can relate to the struggle your son is experiencing. Kudos to him for fighting this area that is a sin against his own body (1 Corinthians 6:18).

One scripture in Job really helped me reduce the number of sexually immoral thoughts that entered my mind. Job 31:1 in the NIV states: “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.” I understood that a covenant is something to be kept and, therefore, requires daily commitment. Daily taking up his cross and denying himself (Luke 9:23), along with renewing his mind (Romans 12:2) are key components of the solution.

I think it’s important for him to not get frustrated when sexually immoral thoughts manifest. Knowing that they will, and likely will for the rest of his life, he can have the “shield of faith” ready to “extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one” (Ephesians 6:16).
By this I mean, be proactive and come up with strategies with what to do with the thoughts. Blue_Ladybug mentioned getting him into counselling in an earlier post in this thread. I think that is where he and a Christian counselor who specializes in sexual addiction can formulate a plan. Hevosmies gives some great advice as well with helpful tips to implement.

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong (1 Corinthians 16:13),”

There are young guys I mentor, and sometimes they'll ask about porn.

First a young man will say, "What do I do about porn?"
I say, "Don't look at that."

Then he'll say, "I've already looked."
I say, "Stop doing that."

At this point they usually blink and stare....
and I say, "Is any of that unclear?"

Then I tell them to spend a LOT more time EVERY DAY, in BIBLE STUDY and PRAYER.

A. Prayer focuses your mind on God, seeking both His will and His help, while also forcing you to sort out the things on your heart.

B. Bible study cleanses your mind, and reprograms your neural pathways in good ways... just as bad things program your neural pathways in bad ways.

It is normal to feel sexual urges at this age, but you need to tell your son that acting upon these urges is not appropriate at his age (I.e. sexual urges not p-rnography) get him a hobby. On another note, no one is free from sin we all mess up sometimes.

Would you help me stay correct and In unity to the full measure of the stature of CHRIST and point me to the scripture that says we can be sinless In our thoughts.
