I am not fully sure of what needs to take place....I thank God every day for another day every morning and I almost feel like when I ask him for my desires, I feel like I am being selfish.
I do sometimes pray that friends and family can find the holy spirit but, am I doing anything wrong?

IKR, it can be awkward at first, going to God in Prayer.. like I’ve gone into the closet and thought, well what now then
So after a few false starts lol, I knuckled down to find out..
I spent years going about it the wrong way.. partly due to religious traditions.
So I searched the Bible to find out, and asked God to help, also started to get honest with God..
He does say pour out your hearts ... suppose there are seasons of prayers and how we approach God, it’s all part of our journey and walk, and growth..

One th8ng I know for sure is that He really does want us to go to Him and rely on Him :)

Thanking God is great, you’re not wrong there (y) :D

Not sure what to share cos I don’t wanna spoil it for ya, but here’s a few suggestions to add to your Thanksgiving
— ask your Heavenly Father for wisdom... He wants to give us that generously.
— also it’s ok to ask for your own needs :) Mathew 7:7 (many more references somewhere in the good book) He’s your Gracious Father! Make your requests known to God,” with Faith, believing, not being anxious...

— Maybe do a bible study on asking.. and prayer. You’ll be blessed!

— According to His will too... 1 John 5:14
— God won’t answer our prayers if it’s with wrong intent. James 4:3

— Jesus’ example of course. A Pastor did a Bible Study on The Lord’s Prayer a few years back, that was cool - a real Blessing. Jesus specifically taught His disciples to pray like that. That Pastors teaching was really interesting, took him weeks to cover it all haha

— Interecessory prayer is another way to pray ... for other people.. like praying for peeps to know Jesus and what He did for them personally through His work on The Cross to save, so you’re already praying for peeps too, so nice one !!

— Ask Holy Spirit to help you pray, He is your Helper. Ask (y) it’s ok

There’s loads that refer to your question, get stuck in.. go look, I don’t wanna spoil it for you... haha, it’s awesome when God speaks to us through the Bible and answers our questions :D

God bless you for asking this, may you be Blessed on your journey and be a strong continuous faithful prayer person for those around you. When they receive His Holy Spirit, they can pray with you too, how awesome would that be huh... that’s something you can look forward to. God bless

Thank you for in depth reply!

Another thing I add at the beginning of my day is, I end it with, "Soldier, reporting for duty!" :)

Yep, I know what you mean :) It’s a battle but we have so much help really, since Jesus already won the battle. Just reminded me of what a kind sister said when Luke 4:18 was brought up, she went on to say, and this scripture is fulfilled (verse 21) :D

Your welcome, sorry if it was a bit, long I didn’t intend to write so much :giggle: God Bless, goodnight
