Exodus is such a blessing. He not only redeemed the Israelites, but He also taught them how to live redeemed lives. After all the plagues and the parting of the red (reed) were used to free them from captivity from Egypt, but the time in the wilderness was spent showing them where that liberation came from, where it was found, and what the Glory of God means to them in their lives.

Isn't that exactly what He does still in our lives. He draws us into the wilderness, bringing us to His Glory.

The wilderness is such a tumultuous arena packed with powerful potential for deliverance, if only we would surrender to the One who always has our best interest at heart.

"In Your lovingkindness You have led the people whom You have redeemed; In Your strength You have guided them to Your holy habitation.
Exodus 15:13 NASB

A beautiful sharing of the Word,. Now eware of those talking about shadows as though you do not already know this. They do this to dissuade but God' shilcren cannot be dissuaded.

Sometimes I feel as though we are in the wilderness now following the light of our Fathr by night and the pillar of smoke by day to the Promised Land. Praise God now and always, amen.

Psalm 63 {A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah}

1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

It reminds me when people go camping. Why do people do it, leave the comfort of their homes to spend time with each other in a tent, with no running water or electricity and no phones or internet (well..not so much these days with wifi) and possibly get rained on and blown about by the wind.

Cos its fun?? Sometimes its not so fun! Sometimes we run out of food and miles away from a store.(cue miracle provisions)

But you know what, its to spend time with Him. To have a holiday and to feast together. That was one of the main reasons God called them out of Egypt. They couldnt worship Him and enjoy Him fully while working as slaves in .egypt. Could they? When you work 9-5 and are so exhausted when are you goign to spend time with God...it has to fit around your work. Well God doesnt require you to work another second slaving for someone else.

Once I was gifted to live out-of-doors for several years. It gave me time to read teh Word and to share it with others. It was tthe most blessed part of my existence in this age thus far.

Oh yes, we must be intentional in our quest to abide in Him, getting rid of all distraction, huh?

How long did you do it for. Have you considered doing it again?

Three years adn a littl more. I had a kind of circuit of sharing the Word in three states, and I traveled through several countries hitch-hiking and camping out, even in a traffic circle and the garden of an airport in Split, then Yugoslavia. People were so good most of the time. A very few were not so nice, but not too much to deal with either.

Now at almost 75, i DO NOT THINK IN TERMS OF DOING THT AGAIN. hOWEVER, EVEN THESE PAST FEW DAYS i HAVE THOUGHT IF CALLED TO DO SO, i PROBABLY WOULD I. aT THAT TIME i WWAS DOING IT MAINY TO STUDY THE Word AND INTERACT WITH OTHER SEEKERS OF PLEASING jESUIS cHRIST.

With failing vision I now try to do other things such as prayer and things unspoken. God is so good to us all. I pray all learn this and truly come to understand this. It is a joy to worhip the Living Maker of allthat is, amen.

Amen, he also showed us sadly what happens when we stop or lack faith in God, lets not be like those who saw miracl after. Iricle yet never came to trust god,

Isn't it amazing how theywitnessed such powerful works, right in front of their eyes and still came to doubt? I suppose that is the nature of us silly fallen humans.

I think when we stand in front of God we will see how silly we were, I guess its a good thing we cant see all now because how could we continue knowing how many times we fail?
