Well one time I took it, and it also included fictional characters that are in the same category. Apparently, I was in the same group as Gandalf the Gray...

And Hannibal Lecter

I have taken it a few times but my results are always different. So I don't really think it's accurate. Unless I have many personalities.:eek:

Does anyone here think the personality scores are fascinating to read and learn what they say about you? I got a ISFP.
Yes, I both find them fascinating about what they say about my rarest of rare personality types INFJ (still amazed at learning and affirming something new - everytime I do a quick search - like this one just now); but I find it equally if not more to read what they say about other people that I know...
A former colleague (PhD Social Scientist) would ask everyone that she worked with on varying projects to take a quick MB Personality Test as a fun way of getting to know the people that she would be working with - even convinced senior leaders... It was quite fascinating at how accurate that the outcomes would be appear to be... Keeping in mind that the scores are based upon an individuals self assessment...
Interestingly she as well as one of the Senior Leaders scored as INTJ master-minds...
Where he always believes himself to be the smartest person in the room - his arrogance is about to be his downfall...
While she had to change jobs (only room for one mastermind in such an organization) She remains very well regarded and respected in her field - we've always gotten along smartly - mutually respectful...

INFJ men are complex, warm, and perceptive. They’re drawn to women who are intelligent, creative, and compassionate.

It'll be based on your answers, though. So if the results vary too drastically it's a reflection of your answers, not the test. Maybe you do have multiple personalities. A&E will be airing a new show you may find interesting next week. ;)

Has been years since i've taken it. Last time i took it i was either INFP or J, i forget which. Pretty sure it was P though. As i thought about it my answers may have been affected by some outside sources, so i took it again. Quite a bit different.

Your Type Preferences

Introvert(56%) Sensing(12%) Feeling(22%) Judging(1%)

Because you appear to have marginal or no (1%) preference of Judging over Perceiving, characteristics of more than one personality type may apply to you:
ISFJ and ISFP.

I'm surprised by the 56% introvert, i'm definitely more introverted than that. As happened last time i agree with about half the assessment, which is Very accurate, the other half is way off. But if i'm so close to the middle that may explain it.

I definitely lean strongly towards ISFJ, than ISFP. But one part of ISFP i do identify strongly with, after reading up on both. The rest of ISFP i can not relate to at all. I relate more to INFP than ISFP.

But these tests aren't meant to define us, but rather give us some clarity and understanding about ourselves, which i think they do successfully. Both the initial time, and this time, of taking it i felt i was more comfortable with myself because i can see more of a cause for parts of myself i viewed as 'somethings wrong'. Seeing them framed in this light allows me to ease up on them and understand myself better.

I think I have taken this thing too many times and usually now answer for the results I want to see. I generally find the 16 categories don’t fit me much at all.

Today I am feeling more ISFJ, I think.
That's interesting so you know the test that well to guide your answers to what you want to see. Impressive! So none of the 16 categories fit you? If none of these fit you, what do you think fits you?

Hello BrotherMike;

Wow! I hadn't thought of Myers Briggs since I took the test in 2016. lol! I'm an ESFJ, extraversion, sensing, feeling and judging.
I questioned the judging part but the way MB explained, it was not a condemning judge, but coming to a conclusion, providing resolve and going forward to the outside world.

It was fun to take, but since that test, like melita916 was saying, it also depends on my mood. lol!

I have the chart with the different types/definition if anyone who took the test wants to know.

Thanks, BrotherMike, for sharing.

God bless you all and your families.
I'd imagine my mood might swing my score, but I try to answer what I think would most likely be me. I have always got ISFP and so I think that is totally me :). No problem!

The better tests actually work well at getting around biases in our view of ourselves. Many persons who are introverted have a misunderstanding of what introversion is. We tend to think of the introvert as the sickishly shy wall flower and albeit they probably are, many persons who are more outgoing and self assertive are also introverts.

Introversion refers to persons who need to "recharge" in solitude because large groups of persons tend to emotionally drain them whereas extroverts actually "recharge" in large groups. A lot of persons mistake me for an extrovert because I can tend to be the life of the party in smaller groups but put me in a large group and I head for the sidelines.
Yup int

Yes, clarity and understanding... which is a benefit I think.

I can spot some of my traits in several different categories. I think a lot of it depends on my mood at times, too. I saw a video awhile back describing how these traits are intended more as a spectrum than one or the other. For instance, there aren’t that many people who are truly introverted or extroverted.

I think things like mental health probably affects this a lot, too. I isolate when depressed and find people draining. When feeling better, I find myself feeling more recharged around friends. Hmmm... maybe I should wait to measure until I feel better.
