Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(NOTE: Christ is the author/beginning & finisher/end of all faith)

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
(NOTE: The just/justified = Those that thru faith are: Judicially Declared RIGHTEOUS by God. Live by """HIS/CHRIST"S""" faith)

Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
(NOTE: It's Christ's faithful work & our faith placed in his work)

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by "faith of Jesus Christ" unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
(NOTE: The Faith "OF" Christ)

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the """faith of Jesus Christ""", even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the "faith of Christ" and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
(NOTE: It's the Faith "OF" Christ & our faith in the righteousness of Christ's redemptive work & resurrection. Whereby God justifies us = "Declares us Righteous in His sight)

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the """faith of the Son of God""", who loved me, and gave himself for me.
NOTE: A sinless Christ gave himself/died in our place. And now we righteously exist thru our faith, placed in the Faith """OF""" Christ/the Son of God)

Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by """faith of Jesus""" Christ might be given to them that believe.
(NOTE: It's our Faith placed in Christ's faithful/finished redemptive work & resurrection. That reconciles us to God. Also see Rom 5:10, Col 1:21, 2 Cor 5:18 & 20)

Phil 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but "that which is through the faith of Christ", the righteousness which is of God by faith:
(NOTE: The Faith "OF" Christ)

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(NOTE: God's grace/underserved mercy/favor is a gift. A gift is given, not earned. However, a gift can be rejected)

We access Gods Grace thru Faith (Rom 5:2) placed in Christ's finished redemptive sin atoning sacrificial work. Found in Christ's death (sins demanded payment) & resurrection (God's receipt, payment received & accepted). It's then, God imputes/transfers Christ's righteousness onto us & transfers/imputes our sin/judgment onto Christ. See this process in Lev 4 & Rom 4:3-8)

This is off topic, and I hope u don't mind. You took me to Lev 4 and I learned something new. I always thought it was a without blemish male that was to be sacrificed, as I always took it to be pointing to the sacrifice of Christ. I wonder why He wanted them to be female because they were common ppl, not in a place of leadership, or an assembly. Screenshot_20190120-180442_Chrome.jpg

Hi CharliRenee,

5 different offerings: burnt, sin, peace, trespass & meat.

The burnt offering was to be male Lev 1:3.

The sin offering was to be male when offered by a ruler of people Lev 4:22-23 (Jesus would fall into this demand) A non-ruler/common persons sin offering called for a female Lev 4:27-28

The peace offering could be either Lev 3:1 & 6.

The trespass offering called for a female Lev 5:6

The meat offering didn't require animal sacrifice Lev 2:1-16

Hello again CharlieRenee,

I felt the post had become long enough. People, icluding myself, pass over long, long posts. Here is a better look at my posted point referencing Lev 4 & Rom 4

We access Gods Grace thru Faith (Rom 5:2) placed in Christ's finished redemptive sin atoning sacrificial work. Found in Christ's death (sins demanded payment) & resurrection (God's receipt, payment received & accepted). It's then, God imputes/transfers Christ's righteousness onto us & transfers/imputes our sin/judgment onto Christ. See this process in Lev 4 & Rom 4:3-8)

Lev 4:
22 When a ruler (King/Priest etc) hath sinned,
24 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD:
(NOTE The sinner brought a sacrifice. Placed their hands onto the head of the innocent animal. This is the point of the sin transfer/imputation. Next the sinner took a knife & killed the sacrifice. Sins required price "DEATH" was paid. The offerers sin had been imputed onto the innocent sacrifice & God forgave the sinner see vs 26)

27 And if any one of the common people sin
29 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.
(Same drill as above. Sins required payment meet. The offerers sin was imputed onto the innocent sacrifice & God forgave the sinner see vs 31)

32 And if he bring a lamb for a sin offering, he shall bring it a female without blemish.
33 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering.
(Same drill as above. Sins required payment meet. The offerers sin was imputed onto the innocent sacrifice & God forgave the sinner see vs 35)

Once per year, Day on Atonemant, the annointed High Priest, would make two sacrificial offerings. One was sacrificed/killed to pay for the Nations sins. The other (The Scapegoat/Azazel Ritual) is seen here in vs 21:

Lev 16:21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
(NOTE: Only the Anointed High Priest could invoke this sin transfer/imputation. He pressed his hands on the offerings head & confessed the nations sins. This anmial was escorted into an unknown place in the wilderness. This ritual allowed the people to see thier sins being taken away)

A few NT scripture teaching, that thru faith in Christ. God transfers/imputats our sin onto Christ. BYW where did Christ go after God's last Chosen High Priest - John the Baptist layed his hands on Christ at his Baptism. Answer the wilderness:

Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted (imputed) unto him for righteousness.
(NOTE: Because Abraham believed God. His Faith was counted unto him for righteousness)

Rom 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
(NOTE: When we trust Christ. Our sins are imputed/transferred onto him & his righteousness is imputed/transferred onto us)

Rom 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
(NOTE: God imputed righteousness onto Abraham because he trusted/belived God)

Rom 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
(NOTE: Next verse explains why scripture makes this imputation proclmation)

Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
(NOTE: If we will believe that Christ's resurrection is proof, that God accepted Jesus sin payment. Our faith is counted as righteousness)

BYW where did Christ go, after God's last chosen High Priest - John the Baptist -, layed his hands on Christ at his Baptism/Priestly ordination. Answer the wilderness!
