Hello, my name is Holly. I'm 40 years old from Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. I'm a cook by occupation. I am a lover of music, comedy, old English literature, poetry, and cats.
I signed onto Christian chat because over the years I've been confused. I was raised as a Christian, but throughout my life, I've explored other beliefs. For the past few years I've considered myself an agnostic.
Also I am a very troubled person. I've dealt with social anxiety and depression most of my life. I am extremely shy of strangers, but once I get to know someone I'm extremely laid back.
Another reason I joined Christian chat is because I can't seem to find any other chat that is suitable to my taste. The internet is a very vulgar and outlandish medium for socializing. I consider myself a person who has very high moral standards.
Lastly, I joined this chat because, in all honesty, I feel like I'm being drawn to something and it has to do with God. I've struggled with confusion as to whether or not there is a god. For some reason, I feel some sort of presence guiding me to explore. I'm an extremely lonely and sheltered person. I don't have any friends or acquaintances other than a few people I've met online. Social anxiety is an emotionally crippling disorder. I don't know if I'm merely here for the sake of loneliness or to find some sort of hidden answer to life's most difficult questions. All I know is that I'm curious. Whatever it is that is driving me to explore my long lost Christian faith had brought me here.
I hope I get to meet some very good people here as well as make friends. I also hope that I will be welcome to spite my beliefs at this time.
Thank you for reading....
Welcome. Social Anxiety really can be a lonely and crippling disorder. I have it too and I'm sorry you have to struggle with it. If I had some wisdom, I'd offer it too you. The people here are nice though. Nice to meet you.
