Doh!! - no money for the wall again.

Trump caved according to:

Ann Coulter - "the biggest wimp." Lou Dobbs said "he got rolled" by Nancy.

From the BBC:

US President Donald Trump insists the US will still build a wall along its border with Mexico, despite ending the longest-ever US government shutdown without securing funds for the project.

On Twitter, Mr Trump said the deal to temporarily reopen government was "in no way a concession" on the wall.

The bipartisan agreement announced on Friday covers just three weeks.

Mr Trump indicated he might trigger another shutdown or declare a national emergency if his demands are not met.

The Republican president has vowed to reject any budget unless Congress includes $5.7bn (£4.3bn) to fund his signature campaign pledge.

The Democratic Party, which controls the House of Representatives, has flatly refused.

President Trump wants about $75 per person to build his wall. He's asking for about $15 per person this year.

Looking at the supporters of the wall, each of them should send the president $190 to build the wall, or $40 to fund this years work. This way everybody wins his argument, and the president and his supporters get their wall.

Congress could also pass an optional surtax of $40 per person, per year for the next 5 years to build the presidents fence.

Actually, that is not a bad idea. Perhaps Trump could start a GoFundMe page for the wall.

Someone already did. Don't remember who,I'm not on Twitter anymore. Anyway they raised quite a bit of money. I think he was in the military, arg, can't recall. Not sure what happened with it though.

When the Story broke, Yahoo Home Page had a picture of Pelosi and that idiot from the Senate (can't ever remember his name) with huge smiles on their mugs..............Headline read:

WE WIN!

Gist of the Story was they were gloating that they had beat Trump........

Meanwhile, the Repubs were lining up to trash Trump for being a whimp and giving in............

NOW........everyone here knows I AM NOT a Trump fan, nor ever will be........

HOWEVER, in this instance, of the 536 Elected Officials in Washington, Trump (of all people) was the ONLY ONE who displayed ANY kind of sympathy for the 800,000 Civil Servants and their families who were suffering badly, and facing financial ruin because of the shutdown. For him to bite the bullet, knowing he would be mocked and belittled and agree to the temporary opening was the most Presidential act I have seen him make.

I may not like him, but credit where credit is due.

The Socialist Liberals proved that they didn't give a rats petuity about the Civil Servants suffering, ALL they cared about was beating Trump, and making him look bad. The Repubs were no better.........

Hard to believe........

Honestly, I wish he would just go ahead and declare a National Emergency and use Defense Funds to build the wall, and let the chips fall where they may. Only way they could stop him then would be to refuse to approve Defense Funding. That would kill them!

Well i am no an American and i don't usually comment on US political threads but one thing i do know is the US President Trump is a very cunning political operator..

I would not for a moment believe that He has surrendered and will not build a wall... I believe He is opening up the government for 3 weeks to make a show of compassion for govt workers and to ""negotiate"" with congress.. Of course the congress thinks it has won and will think it can refuse to give Trump any money for His wall.. Now when they do refuse they will look like they have been unreasonable to the American people..

Most people believe in give and take.. And Trumps opening up Government will be seen as Trump giving something and being reasonable towards the Government employees who where suffering.. If the Congress gives nothing back to Trump, He will declare a national emergency and will have more public support and congress will look bad..

I believe any legal counter to the State of Emergency will fail in the High Court and in the end it will be seen as a huge victory to Trump. His standing will be raised while congress will be lowered..
