To my knowledge there is no accounts of early church fathers of people being "slain in the spirit" as that video portrays.
Are you aware of any documented cases in early church history? If so, quote the text and give a link to the primary texts, so we can check the contexts.

Thanks,
Daniel

This thread is solely for others to post history of this, not to debate the theology of it.
Personally, I do not accept it at face value. I need to read the primary texts myself.

In Slain in the spirit, the one that fell is people that worship the Lord.

In the garden when Jesus speak. The group that fell is thise who come to bring Jesus to be kill on the cross

So no 1 come to worship

No 2 come to kill

Is that to kill and to worship get the same reward (both slain in the spirit)

If so, accept Jesus go to heaven

Reject Jesus go to heaven as well ?

I only searched the church fathers on "Slain in the Spirit" and did not find anything. Nor, did I find anything in any ancient church history too.

Not an obsession, just trying to break topic of slain in spirit down to manageable parts.
If there is no history of this in the early church and far as I can tell this is just man made nonsense in modern emotionalism.

Slap stick comedy like this just gives the Body of Christ a bad name and makes us all a laughing stock.

Well I guess you could say even those church folks know better to say in the Holy Spirit. Good or bad they know.

Church fathers? What do you mean. The apostles?

Well Paul got knocked off his horse when Jesus appeared to Him but he wasnt slain.
Also anais and saphirra actually were killed they dropped dead cos of lying to the holy spirit.

I dont know who else you mean..?
In revelation Jesus says to one of the churches, the one in thyatria, because they tolerate a woman called Jezebel who makes herself to be a prophetess...she teaches and seduces servants to commit fornication ...he's going to kill her children with death.

Paul has fallen on the way to kill Christian, not after he repent, ana fall because he lie to Holy Spirit

We need fall because come to the Lord, not fall because against the Lord.

The people who came to get Jesus were not Christians, nor is there any evidence that they were overcame by the Holy Spirit.
Falling down by His Presence is just that. So powerful. No one can stand when He manifests Himself.

And all will kneel when we see Him.

I know, you will not find, because it is not something which speaks about followers of christ. Its more spiritsm.

Do you mean after repenting or before? Fall in what way, fall to our knees? Or stumble and fall. I dont understand. When the Bible talks about falling, usually its about falling from grace, or falling away from faith. Its not a good thing to fall.

This post supplements my post in the Bible-based thread on "slain in the Spirit" and is quoted from the Wikipedia artice:
"Beginning with the First Great Awakening that impacted Protestant Europe as well as Britain's American colonies in the eighteenth century, bodily movements became a prominent and controversial part of Protestant revivalism. Supporters of the revivals within various denominations including Presbyterians, Congregationalists, Baptists and Methodists argued that trembling, groaning, screaming and falling to the ground "as dead" were signs of divine power in those who were becoming aware of their own sinfulness. This bodily agitation, as well as the problem of sin and guilt, was resolved through a conscious conversion experience, which was marked by peace and joy."

John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, considered falling down and other bodily movements to be natural (not supernatural) human responses to the supernatural "testimony" or "witness" of the Holy Spirit in conversion. Occasionally, Wesley attributed bodily movements to Satan's attempt at disrupting the conversion process, but at other times, he described bodily movements as natural human responses to God's love.[7]:36 Wesley, George Whitefield and Jonathan Edwards all record instances of people falling during their ministries. During the Second Great Awakening of the early nineteenth century, Peter Cartwright and Charles G. Finney also recorded similar behavior.zz'
