"But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him.

For He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, "Not all of you are clean."

"But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him.

"God is Love" There is only one form of love with God, that's HIS love.
There are not different "levels" or meanings of love in Gods love.
If God's love was shed abroad with different "levels of compassion" or anything that thwarted the significance of that love then there would be partiality sith God, and we all know that is a no, no.
God doesn't "condemn" anyone, he serves Justice. So at the worst case scenario on your eternal destination is that you got justice from God who loves equally.
OK.
The other poster brought up agape love.
Agape love is God's love.
I did say God's agape love.
Which is a very serious love.

Then I asked:
Does God love a murderer?

What do you think?

I think God is not a lover of sin...
Persons that live in sin (different from sinning) cannot be loved by God.
They grieve the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is God.

Before you answer, I'd like to say that persons that are having trouble with sin and know it and are asking God for help and forgiveness are NOT the persons I'm speaking of above.

But, yes, I don't think God loved Ted Bundy.

What I find Ludacris is the first part of your statement!

To think that the only difference between Peter and Judas was Jesus prayed for Peter but refused to pray for Judas

The Bible says that Jesus prayed often he was a man of Prayer and of course the Bible does not record everything Jesus said when he prayed every prayer .Judas was one of his ordained apostles and Jesus was his friend and you're going to tell me Jesus did not pray for his friend ever???? No way Jose I'm not buying it

The difference between Judas and Peter was Peter repented and ran to the Lord......... Judas on the other hand felt so guilty no doubt his heart condemning him and the devil lying to him telling him there's no way back so he killed his self

I promise you this the sins of Peter are far worse than those of Judas

BTW. Im not mocking you as you suggested
Judas died of worldly sorrow...He did not run back to Jesus and ask Jesus to forgive him , that`s what happens to people who are not born from above , they die through guilt and shame , when Jesus could of took that all away from him , he had no love in his heart for Jesus , not one ounce...xox...

Walk trough the valley
Judas followed Jesus for 3 years, partook in the ministry to a degree all the other disciples accepted him as
exactly like them.

It was a shock when he appeared leading the romans.
The very night of the last supper, nobody thought it was Judas the betrayer.

Why is it so hard to believe people can be so close to God yet betray Him?
Satan did. 1/3rd of heaven did.

Most believers know many in their church who they doubt know Jesus truly, and feel
they would betray Him. On this forum, in this discussion, many feel so and so is an
evil deceiver ....... So Judas is not so different from us at all, and where we are.

The pharisees saw the miracles, heard the words, saw the wisdom yet killed Jesus.

Our sin blinds us very quickly to our failures and weaknesses and judges others so
harshly we would happily see them burn in hell.

But to walk like Jesus, impossible, a deception.

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
1 cor 11:1
I agree with you brother and feel the need to expound. Many don't seem to understand the severity of the predicament of the lost son. Loving money more than God, the impression of false leaders among us, teaching their view of eternal security that will be turned upside down for them to be saved out of hell and become the least in the kingdom. There is mention of false apostles in Revelation. Also Jesus loved His own until the end. Once the Lord told me: It would be better for you not to have been born than to return to your vomit. Had I died stillborn I would be in paradise in the afterlife presently. Had I returned to chasing... I would experience hell until the final judgment. Get outside the box for a moment and understand, ok I'm contradicting myself, how can we get outside our understanding and understand; Ok don't be afraid to think outside the box for a moment then. Hell is a place where people go their own way while they know better, they may be granted repentance as people pray and they repent, this happened to me, and you don't need to die physically to experience all this, some of you know what I'm referring to. After marriage break I was dead spiritually, in sin, and felt Christians had no reason to be joyful, I was a Christian after all. The Lord told me: Because I Live you shall live also. Those who don't get up to go on will be released from hell in the final Judgment. Please refrain from standing in the place of God and sentencing them all to the lake of fire. You will not find God pleased with you and your dictatorship and you may bear your own judgment in that crowd facing this final judgment to change your attitude. God has the keys of death and hell and has been sending people back from death and hell to a hell-bent people who don't think they could end up there and saved in the end.

OK
But it's getting late here...

Let's discuss Colossians.

Colossians 1:22-23
22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—
23 if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

What does this tell you?

this is paul speaking to a congregation of professing believers (at colosse)

i see this specific bit as encouragement to us with a genuine and enduring faith

all who truly believe are those who have been reconciled and will continue in the faith

not being moved or swayed is a product of a saving faith

trust
confidence
belief
fidelity

We all sin...even after we're saved.
It's cut down a great deal because we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us.
The same happened to David.
Maybe my brain is fried because it's late...
but I'm starting to wonder...SO WHAT!
So he sinned...a sin is a sin to God. God is holy and He can't stand any sin.
So then D repented...
This is how it's supposed to be.
I didn't mean that it's not important.

Yes sir.... I don't think Judas started out full of the devil.... Because of Mark 3 and Matthew 10 and a host of other scriptures

I think Judas was tempted just like you and I are and he failed

When I said earlier that Peter's sin was worse than Judas. Was the difference between the betrayal and denial

If I betray you I slam the door in your face........ Denial locks the door?????

Betrayal...... Stabs me in the back with a knife........ Denial it's twisting the knife??????

Peter was looking in at the savior from the fire pit and felt the peer pressure and while looking at the savior cursed and said I don't know the man

The only difference between Peter and Judas was that Peter bitterly wept no doubt asking forgiveness and repenting

The first word Jesus said to Judas in the garden in the presence of Roman soldiers was "FRIEND"....... I believe Judas could have ran to Jesus just like Peter did fall on his mercy and ask forgiveness Jesus would have forgiven him

Of course I know Jesus knew what Judas was going to do... David prophesied it etc.... But Judas betrayed the Lord by his own choice and fall to temptation
Peter denied out of fear

Judas denied and became a traitor knowing what he was doing

Judas also had the sin of unbelief, all of these sins much greater that peter who in his frame of mind at the time acted out of fear.

Wow man, you have an odd understanding of sin, it brings alot of other stuff into perspective though.
