Shall we start then?
But before we do, I would like to add that if the word "anything" was the end of the sentence, THEN it would be a blanket statement, but that is not what was written, and therefore you twisted what was both said and meant.
As for using scripture or the promises of God, I will give you one I just used.

Luk 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

If I were to remove the words, "out of the good/evil treasure of his heart", the verse would read like this;
A good man bringeth forth good things, and an evil man bringeth forth evil things, for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
I did that only to show that it is the man himself causing the things to be brought forth by the things he says.
The words "bring forth", means to produce, which I would interpret to mean, to cause to be or to manifest in the natural, by what comes from the heart out the mouth.
That's basically what that verse says to me.
How do you interpret it?
Break it down and expound on it.
What does that verse say to you?
Cool and thanks for pointing it out and note the word facetious..... ;)

True, "Name It and Claim It" theology" can be simplistically dangerous. But at least its proponents are trying to honor Jesus' generalizations on the power of believing faith to routinely produced marvelous answers to prayer. I prefer their misguided spirit to the unctuous sarcasm of many of the posts here who create insipid straw men as a way of ducking the problematic glowing promises of Jesus in the Gospels that generate this tragic theology.

Why don't you use the word of God to do the talking?
The person said, "that is biblical".
It would be nice to have an intelligent discussion about the subject of the thread instead of responding to ignorant trolls.
Try disproving the promises we use, it might get you a little further.
Without the truth of God's word, your words are like your prayers, empty.
Try answering some of the questions I've poised to you that you have so conveniently ignored.

well that's interesting

simplistically dangerous is when someone dies because they refuse treatment because God was going to heal them...true story and I know a few others here also have seen this

I agree some proponents want to honor Jesus...those are the ones that get hurt in the end when the claiming does not come through

of course, we always have the actual biblical doctrine concerning words but that seems to fall on deaf ears for some reason

a recent thread went to he** in a handbasket as it was taken over by WOFers ...you might get a lesson in sarcasm actually if you were to read what they wrote

some of the best threads on WOF took place a couple of years ago....maybe look them up for a lesson on rabid WOFers can be

I dare say, it was similar, not the reciprocal.
Jesus was both healthy and wealthy, and knew His words were the power of God.
But aside from what anyone says or does, WHAT IS WRITTEN concerning the promises of God on the subject? That's what matters.
There is no reason to believe that Jesus owned his own home. If he was wealthy as you say, why didn't he own a villa in the suburbs of Jerusalem and a nice cottage in Galilee? Nope....he stayed with Peter and literally slept outdoors at the Mount of Olives....probably with permission of the owners. Jesus never once was the host or entertained guests. The money bag held by Judas were probably topped up with public donations.

How did Jesus and His male apostles support His public ministry? They lived of the money donated by well-to-do female disciples who traveled around with them (see Luke 8:2-3). This is particularly significant because no other itinerant rabbis from that era recruited female disciples, let alone allowed them to travel with them. That is one of many reasons why Jesus can be considered the first Christian feminist.

You could say the majority might have been women, but others as well did support him, even a fish.

No, there is not a shred of evidence in the Gospel that any men made donations to Jesus' ministry. Of course, Jesus was at times invited to dine with people. But I'm talking about money, not food.

some time back there was a guy on here trying to convince everyone that Jesus had wealth and all the accoutrements and he was serious about it and apparently this is a teaching in some WOF (not all) circles

it's looney tunes with no substance

Bible says He had nowhere to lay His head; in fact, here is Jesus in His own words:

And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."
Luke 9:58

but just ignore that and claim the Trump Tower building now :cautious:

Jim Bakker in Branson MO has a lot of gloom doom and end times tribulation fear and suffering he would like to
$ell you 😀....Just go to his website he will hook you up with everything. ...
" you absolutely must have to survive for at least seven yrs"
Delicious 🚚 truckloads of food buckets stacked as high as you want and all the appliances and gadgets and devices to string lighting cords to read all his books by while you sit it out to the end in your bunker.
Or if you want he will even $ell you a cabin apartment on his property there where he will cater to your every requirement and take you into his flock 🐑 and even put you to work in his ministry maybe.
He has become a bonafide gloom and doom 🐑 Shepherd of the Hills recruiting people interested in surving tribulations in order to rebuild the Kingdom.
Or at least his Kingdom
😀.....lol....he promotes hunkering down in a compound as having more Prophetabilitie$ than flying away .....😀....must act fast to acquire most desirable locations near new Chapel constructions and other available premium services!

IMO, he has revisited the huckster he once was and compounded the error by selling by 'donation'

He should just use shopify or something and quit the duplicitous selling schemes he now operates

and doesn't his wife have a jewellery line? can't change a leopard's spots I guess

I don't care if a Christian sells things or owns a store or whatever...but unless you give things to the poor, it's not a 'ministry'

Prove it from scripture

He said he had no place to lay his head
Walked every where he went except when he fulfilled prophecy on the ass
Was a man of sorrows
And I personally believe he was sickly and base

NO where do the scripture state he was wealthy and or healthy

Both Jesus and Joseph were "carpenters" (Greek: tekton). Normally farmers had to do their own carpentry, and so, they were also carpenters. So the fact that Jesus is merely designated a carpenter suggests a lower class upbringing immersed in poverty. As I noted, He and His disciples had to live off the donations of well-to-do female disciples who travelled with Him.

Mt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Seek the kingdom of God not treasures on this earth.

You are very negative, not me.
I'm realistic.
If I had found more passages in the Bible than you did, would that make me right?
There are not contradictions in the Bible.
If you can't make these passages I listed line up with your passages, then you don't know it all.
James 5
13 Are you having troubles? You should pray. Are you happy? You should sing. 14 Are you sick? Ask the elders of the church to come and rub oil on you[d] in the name of the Lord and pray for you. 15 If such a prayer is offered in faith, it will heal anyone who is sick. The Lord will heal them. And if they have sinned, he will forgive them.

16 So always tell each other the wrong things you have done. Then pray for each other. Do this so that God can heal you. Anyone who lives the way God wants can pray, and great things will happen. 17 Elijah was a person just like us. He prayed that it would not rain. And it did not rain on the land for three and a half years! 18 Then Elijah prayed that it would rain. And the rain came down from the sky, and the land grew crops again.

IT is the prayer of the one praying that is responsible for the healing be real!!!!

John 11
41 So they moved the stone away from the entrance. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you heard me. 42 I know that you always hear me. But I said these things because of the people here around me. I want them to believe that you sent me.” 43 After Jesus said this he called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out. His hands and feet were wrapped with pieces of cloth. He had a handkerchief covering his face.

IT is the prayer of the one praying that is responsible for the healing be real!!!!

I would point out these texts to the one who lays the guilt trip on the person who was never really healed.

I would say this was just not his main goal. And if you would not ignore John 20, 29-30 you would recognize this.
Sorry Budman this was asked to you.
28 Thomas said to Jesus, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Jesus said to him, “You believe because you see me. Great blessings belong to the people who believe without seeing me!”

Why John Wrote This Book
30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs that his followers saw, which are not written in this book. 31 But these are written so that you can believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. Then, by believing, you can have life through his name.
