Yep. Those that believe in Him have been reborn. A NEW creation, with a NEW heart. That's who we are talking about. That makes us His Children.

Even though all are creations of Him, only the born again believers are NEW CREATIONS which make us His Children.

So you are saying a person can become reborn, a Child of God, Spiritually reborn, become lost and made unborn again, come back, become re-reborn again.

JESUS tells us those Children that wander away and get lost HE will seek UNTIL ( GIGANTICALLY IMPORTANT WORD) HE finds them.

Why?

BECAUSE WE ARE HIS KIDS!!!!

I’m saying a child of God, one of His sheep can indeed become lost.

  • Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:4-7

For when we were controlled by the sinful nature, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, so that we bore fruit for death.
Rom 7:5

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires
Gal 5:24

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another
Titus 3:3

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God--
having a form of godliness but denying its power.
2 Tim 3:2-5

If Paul could say we have crucified the sinful nature, it is possible to conquer such a thing and live to Christ.
It is the people refuse to believe, and are thereby living in unbelief.
when a crucifiction takes place, a slow death ensues.

so, when Paul stated that we are to crucify the flesh, he meant that sin should be slowing dying in the believer's life.

not a total sinless, perfect lifestyle.

it would be so nice if ya'll would learn the meaning behind things, and not just make up your own.

put yourself under the authority of Scripture instead of giving yourself authority over it.

ok Peter. It is getting to the point you are unable to hide, He used the same line of excuse whenever he was being asked to explain something, I will tell you like I told him, You do not get to interpret words when it comes to other people. If your going not say THEY do something, THEY GET TO INTERPRET WHAT THEY BELIEVE!! (How many times have I said these exact words to you in the past?

Why do you refuse to answer peoples question What does in the flesh mean?
I was asking a question. I am asking it again.
I wrote out what Bud wrote, and said how I understood it to mean.
I then asked you or anyone to say if I had made a mistake in its meaning.

You appear to be saying I do not have the right to understand what people say and to say how it comes to me.
If we cannot do this, why say anything, because the meaning of words could be anything, and the reader
should not gain a meaning from the words in case that is not what the writer meant.

This is just nonsense. But hey, if you want to right nonsense its your call, lol.
I am concerned for you my friend, if you think this is sensible, and I really do mean this.

On the question of the flesh, I have answered it with what Paul called sowing to the flesh.
Maybe that answer is not how you wanted it. I think it answers the question.

Did Jesus preach the Gospel to you?

Jesus is in heaven.

Jesus doesn’t preach the Gospel or go after lost sheep, but has delegated that work to His disciples.

He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” John 21:16

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. Matthew 18:12-17

Here are the instructions from Jesus to His disciples how to go after a wayward brother.

Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone.

Remember now, Jesus says He is going to after that sheep UNTIL He finds him. So is Jesus incompetent in NOT finding some, and do those He find have to be re-reborn when He finds them?

are passing thoughts sin?

Does the Bible say anything about that? If you dont dwell on it, is it still a sin?

:) Thank you for agreeing with me, that we are being transformed into His likeness and our sinful
behaviour is being changed into righteous behaviour, that takes learning, actions, time, work, patience, confession,
repentance, discipline, taking captive our thoughts and controlling our bodies and tongues.

Paul never claimed to have completed this work to perfection, rather than we are always striving forward.

So I am surprised you are suggesting there is a difference between us or scripture.
Maybe you are not reading what I am writing or quoting or sharing or living.
God bless you brother, as we walk together from one step of glory to the next, in Christ Jesus our Lord
and Saviour, Amen.

If you act on sinful ideas and intend to carry them out, that is sinful.
Some contemplate revenge, and torture or sexual exploits of others.

Sadly often seriously disfunctional people often use fantasy as a step towards actual
behaviour to others.

Knowledge of sinful actions or feeling of intent, are ways we have of choosing what we
are going to do next. I was hurt by someone deeply, and the desire to do them serious
harm has taken some working through, even though I know in myself I would not want to
do such a thing, I do recognise my heart separate from Christ would react very differently
given the chance.

Are you saying a shepherd never loses any sheep?
Or that Jesus always finds lost sheep?

How do you square this with Jesus saying there is rejoicing when a sinner repents?
A lost sheep might not repent, so they are still lost or do you believe repentance is not relevant?
If repentance is not needed, then they are not lost, just not in the pen, but safe. So no need to
find them.

So I do not see how your end makes sense with Jesus's words. Can you help?

What amazes me is the lengths people will go to EXCUSE their sin!! then attack others, and say they are trying to justify evil, when it is obvious they are not

Sure.

I believe you would agree Jesus says He will look for that lost sheep UNTIL He finds him. Correct? That means He is NOT going to stop looking UNTIL He finds him. And let's be clear. Jesus KNOWS where that person is. He isn't hiding somewhere that Jesus can't find him. What we're talking about is the Lord drawing that sheep back through discipline and hardship experienced during the time the sheep was lost.

But make no mistake, our Lord is NOT incompetent!!! He WILL find ALL that are His.
And what does rejoicing in Heaven have to do with the sheep being found?

I was phoned up the other day, and told there was a problem, some people had said I needed to
find something, and put things right.

I went to the place where there was a problem, spoke to the people, checked the issue and nothing
was amiss.

All this did was to make me realise the person who phoned me was not reliable, and did not understand
anything and I should in future just humour them.

I relate this because it seems some contributors go to great lengths to say something with profound
impact, but when looked at, does not add up. I am happy to humour you, God bless you in your enthusiasm,
and I love you, in my Lord Jesus Christ. He did not condemn, but just laid out the truth.

He opened the way to the Father, and told us we can walk into eternity, to be as He is, to share His throne,
to know His love, and to be co-heirs with Him. So listen to Him, repent and humble yourself to His ways
and you will find rest for your souls, just as those faithful followers have done for centuries, God bless you

Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.
As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.'
Matt 10:6-7

Jesus called Israel the lost sheep. Yet he did not expect them all to repent and turn to Him.
So the parable is saying He looks for "His" sheep, the ones He knows will be found, will respond,
not to those who refuse to repent.

So we can end up saying the same thing in different words.
A sheep could come and then wander, but were never truly a sheep of Christs pen.

So here is the problem. We can be certain about something that is not important, and miss the promise
of safety that the Lord is giving to His people. And to this I say, Praise the Lord, Thank you Jesus.

this is the point we try to make to you- the person that called you lied to you. now, of course, there is a lot more to this, you know more details, I know nothing about the situation.

but, when someone tells an untruth, it is lie.

call a sin what it is. if it is someone else, or you.

Paul is plain
sowing to the spirit is

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Col 3:12-14

sowing to the flesh is

Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.
Rom 13:13

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:19-21
Wrong

Yes, those are EXAMPLES of some sins which COME out of the flesh (Like I said you are focused on overt sins, not what the root cause is)

but that is the wrong interpretation

Once again, WHat does it mean? (Its not that hard what does the term flesh mean? Is it not SELF?)

Two steps are being put forward

The flesh is evil in and of itself
No one can follow Jesus's footsteps

Both these are not christian beliefs, and have been argued sin Jesus died.
Paul followed Jesus's example and calls us to follow His.

The apostles where clean and not sinful, and Jesus was fully human and pure and holy.

Now as far as I can understand any concepts these are bullet proof and foundational.
If one denies either or both, one cannot be a believer.
I do not know of a christian church which would believe either statement was true
but if you do, please tell us.
Your still missing the point

What does the term SEEK AFTER things OF THE FLESH mean?

You do it every day, Everyone does. What does it mean. do you not want to know so you can see how sinful you really are? Or you still want to excuse your sin?

I said you were wrong, Your still wrong

If you just asked a question, I gave you the answer, You were wrong

On the question of the flesh, I have answered it with what Paul called sowing to the flesh.
Maybe that answer is not how you wanted it. I think it answers the question.
You gave some overt sins which people who are seeking after the flesh do. so your answer was wrong

Woud you like to try again? Or remain blind as to what the term means? and continue to excuse your sin while judging others?
