one time I heard one lone voice and I was like?????? then, I was led to this:

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

and yes it was audible and caused me to stop singing

I can't fathom it.

I had the impression, about the choirs, it was worshipers in heaven and I have thought that we join in even while on earth

I have to say I feel so small and useless that God would in any way think of me in a loving way

I had 2 parents who fought constantly...my father was the voice of sanity but constantly put down my mother..sadly

so I have often felt rejected and not loved...so I am so humbled that God would reach out to me in any way

even now thinking about it, I'm kind of overcome

Forgiven EG... I went to the end of this thread and I see how things have gotten out of hand.

I did moderating on another site for a time. It's a thankless job and one I'd never want to do again.

I can tell you all that CS1 has taken abuse where just one disagreement with a moderator elsewhere will get you banned.

I'm sorry to see how this has ended.

but see, this is why I wish people would just move on if they do not want to discuss the Holy Spirit, his operation in our lives and the truth of how God moves in our lives by His Spirit

and of course, as a disclaimer, I know about the fake stuff. I know the devil can deceive you but I also know there are reasons why this happens and none of that makes void the truth

it's truly just such a shame but I think it proves that tongues is something the devil hates and with good cause

I think that this may be because tongues seems to be the catalyst into spiritual life.

So it is Ok for a mod to accuse me of "limiting God because I am bias"?
Two for one there.

This got way out of hand with name calling and very heated discussion.
You as a mod did not step in and calm things down. You simply added to the fire.

You are just as much at fault as Any other poster.

that is why they hear sister. They don't want dialog they want confrontation and as you can see if a mod accommodates them they lack the ability to get a hint. they attack the mod. Their pride will not allow them to bow out. I'm not going :) because it is my job to see these types off the thread. I know I have not said anything on this thread to any of those who have an issue with my response to them after they were rude mocking insulting. I gave them a little jab back and they got self-righteous. They love to dish it out but can't take it back like most bullies of course.

I would agree

further, I would advise some not to ask to pray in tongues because they would not know what hit them regarding the spiritual realm

they are not taught and do not know you can be vulnerable if you are not aware

it most definitely opens the door to another realm

I understand and I think we need someone in your position to expose it all

sooner or later what people are made of comes to the surface

sometimes it is God burning off the dross and if we accept it or at least have an honest heart about ourselves, we can learn something and move on..grow up a little

I never had a problem with spiritual things. I mean the Bible is chock full of such! :)

and I know there is fake as well...from what I have seen here, people are temperate and understand that there is a counterfeit

just like counterfeit religions

Yes, it does. But, I learned the power of the name of Jesus through this warfare. He's faithful and will come to our aid. I had no one to teach until I ran into Catholic charismatics. Then on to Lester Sumrall.

But, it's better to know, I agree.

I was brought up in a church that believed there were no more gifts

and look at me now!

praise God...people with searching hearts and a hunger for God do change and come to know differently!

I have learned so much through opposition from forces that I did not understand at all having never received any teaching, but God is faithful and will always make a way and keep us as He has promised to do

I came across books that taught the opposite of what I had learned...I applied these new truths to my situation and saw the darkness leave

we do have to learn the power of Jesus name and the victory in His name applied through the blood He shed but the devil does everything he can to keep this out of the hands of those who need it so badly
