Lol no its about all video games your welcome here 9 times outta 10 I'm more likely going to play a ps1 or ps2 or a SNES or genesis game I'm more into the older stuff :)
In THAT case... have you ever played Secret of Evermore? If not, do.

It's about a boy and his dog stumbling into a professor's virtual reality experiment. Years ago the professor and three friends were trapped in the virtual reality experiment by... well, by the bad guy I won't name... and years after that the boy follows his dog into an old mansion, finds the experiment still running and accidentally gets pulled into it.

It's an action RPG with (for SNES) pretty good gameplay. The script was also well written. The boy is a science fiction geek and the dog keeps changing to fit the virtual world they are in - in prehistoric land he's a big wolf-like creature, in the Victorian-era land he's a fancy looking dog and in the future world he's a robot dog that hovers and shoots lasers.

If you can't find a cartridge, at least watch a let's-play of it on youtube.

Decided to try out Tetris 99 this morning. It didn’t sound that compelling, but was a ton of fun. This might be my new crack game.

Where do teh Yoshi games fall on the scale of difficulty compared to stuff like Mario and Kirby and Donkey Kong? My 2D platformer skills are have fallen off severely. I have died an embarrassing number of times playing New Super Mario on the Switch. The most recent Kirby game is the first one I have played and it was boringly easy. I guess that series is meant for little kids?

Yeah Kirby games are all (except maybe Canvas Curse) are extremely easy lol I've not played many Yoshi games but the one for the n64 I here was easy too couldn't say for sure about new ones. Donkey Kong games are probably the hardest outta the main Nintendo games

Kirby isn't supposed to be hard. Kirby is supposed to be cute! And he's supposed to get really neat abilities when he holds an enemy in his stomach. Kirby is supposed to be a surprise - every time you inhale a new enemy you are eager to see what Kirby can do now.
