Practicing is the key word. Resisting is another. A person resisting may fail. One practicing sin is not surrendered to the lordship of Christ.

On a side note, there is no scientific basis for people thinking they're born gay. The only 'scientific' study supporting this belief was done by a gay man, who acknowledged that his study was prejudiced by his personal preference. So, for us to believe that God is ok with this(or any other form of fornication)is ludicrous.
To clarify, since no one is born gay, it seems logical to conclude that God didn't make anyone gay, nor does He want them gay.

I agree with you Pony. We used to live that way. The closer we get to God He starts removing all our vile behaviors that we once lived in. We start to be sanctified when we follow Gods words. We no longer are whoremongers, brawlers, drunkards, etc.

It is God through His Holy Spirit that begins to purify us and work on us. He who started the work is faithful to finish. So if someone was practicing gay behaviors that will cease. Some sins are easier to quit cold turkey than others. Some sins take time and alot of prayer and getting deep in the word. This walk is not easy but it is possible for those who submit themselves and yield completely to God. Baby steps. Nothing happens overnight.

But we must hate sin and have a willing heart that wants to change. If you just want to keep living in sin, then you cannot say you are living for Christ. Thats a lie. You wouldnt want to be practicing foul acts if you seek to honor God. Children of God obey their Father.

I think we need to rephrase this a little

There will be former gay christians who were saved by faith, And through this salvation and the power of the Holy Spirit were able to turn from this lifestyle.

Its dangerous to say we turned first. Thats earning your salvation, and to be honest, prety hard to do outside of th power of God

otherwise I agree sis.

Well, people who know me here know I believe the Holy Spirit convicts and we repent and turn from sin. I suppose some wouldn't know that if they are new.

Ok, So you are failed to live up to Gods standard. So why don’t you judge yourself before judging others?



No one is endorsing or justifying any sin. But we also to be like christ, sho himself said he did not come to judge the world. But that through hi the world might be saved.

So again, Why are you judging another person who is stugling with his sin, when you have your own sin you struggle with?
paul states if a person is openly immoral and claims to be a christian do not even eat with him, yes we all struggle but there are people in the world that by their very nature are sinless, i know a young feller in church because of wat he is will never sin, he has autism and is a complete innocent.

Christ's death on the cross was for all mankind. Not just some, ALL. Let's get that point straight first.

paul was not talking about righteous people such a enoch and job but the condition of the world and the fallen state of men before they know christ. and there are exceptions, as the psalm says blessed is the man whose sin God doe not held against him and whose spirit is no deceit

I don't think Romans 3:9-20 leaves any room for exceptions. The Bible does refer to people as righteous, but not because they aren't sinners. When someone is saved, the righteousness of Christ is imputed to them. Positionally they are righteous, in practice they are not. Enoch, Job, me, you. We are all sinners.

There will only ever be one person born who was completely sinless. That would be our awesome Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

actually i have to strongly disagree, enoch was so righteous that he never saw death and Job was a man who never sinned, not to mention Noah whose righteousness saved the world, Joseph a man of integrity and Daniel a man highly esteemed

A Gay person can get to heaven, but it would be difficult if they never repent by living the gay life. e.g; Will a thief get to heaven while robbing a bank? hmm

I am not saying that, I agree, If people are in sin, there is discipline even in the church. My problem was with judging people who have certain sins, and not judging yourself for your own sin

Um,

Jesus said the only one who was good is God (himself)

No one was perfect.. Even Daniel confessed his sins

Yes Job was righteous/ it does not mean he was sinless

Jesus said ONLY GOD IS GOOD

If Job never sinned, He earned his salvation, thats not true.

i am not going to argue with u, just read Job, its all about the issues u are having thinking that no one can be righteous and all are sinners, and Jesus said he did not come for the righteous but sinners

A Christian is no longer a thief, murderer, fornicator, drunkard.

For a Christian to identify with a lifestyle that the Holy Spirit says is an abomination is incomprehensible to the entire Christian World.

For anyone to teach that these types of lifestyles are ok for the Christian is also extremely wrong.


And to be clear I don't think Christians are ever perfectly sinless.
Christians sometimes make mistakes and lie, steal, get drunk, have sex with someone who isn't their spouse, but they aren't so proud of it that they say they are a Lying Christian, or a Drunk Christian, or Fornicating Christian.

They are a Christian that needs to turn from their own work and understanding and instead turn to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Like we all do.
