A NON-CHARISMATIC UNDERSTANDING OF TONGUES

While I do go to a big church, because the Church is it be able to function like a family, I am not sure that GOD thinks BIG CHURCHES are not the Best Idea to fulfill GOD's Plan that we function like Family. I think it would be easier if we had limited the size of our congregations to no more than 300 members or less. We seem to have lost the Closeness of FAMILY, when we allowed ourselves to become SO BIG. Yes the music ministry is great with a FULL ORCHESTRA, but I only know a handful of members names.



That picture is only about half the seating capacity in out Church. Yes, we try to make up for the size by have Pot Lucks for the SECTION that you sit in about 8 weeks apart, and smaller Bible studies during the week in someone's home. But a BIG CHURCH makes it difficult to maintain intimate relationships or almost impossible with the whole congregation.

Appears to be a nice place to worship God at. And if the pastor encourages members to create smaller groups for Bible study and prayer, Seems like he has a good grasp on his trust for his sheep. And the Pot Lucks are just an added bonus. Show me a church that feeds you solid foundational principles based upon God's Word + encourages Pot Lucks, creates the making for "Breaking Bread" together, in both a spiritual and literal sense. No wonder you call your church, HOME!! I am happy for You, Brother!!

Yes, I am home for now, until HE COMES TO Catch us UP to our heavenly home. When we first we to California, our mission in life, I never dreamed that I would be coming home to the Same Church that we left from, after my wife passed away. So YES, it was like coming Home to the Same Church.

They had the Adult Choir and the Children's Choir perform a small Contada today, with the Full Orchestra. So it was good, and the Resurrection Message was Very Good also.




On the way home I saw a Sign stating that a new Church was starting in town, and it gave me nothing but RED FLAGS. The sign said:

NEW VISIONS COMMUNITY CHURCH - UMC.

Yes, I know know UMC is United Methodist Church, but the part the caused the red flags was the NEW VISIONS part. Sounds like YET ANOTHER NEW AGE Church to me. Yes, we are definitely SEEING THE GREAT FALLING AWAY, Happening before our eyes.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 (NKJV)
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

She is married to a man that uses the title Apostle Anselm Madubuko,
the General Overseer of Revival Assembly Church, one of the leading Pentecostal churches in Nigeria.
She was originally Kenya, and after she recently married, she moved to Nigeria.

I do not care, I still like her music.

I really do not understand HOW, people can fall for people who call themselves, NEW AGE CHRISTIANITY, other that it is PROPHESIED to be this way.

They actually believe that the miracles of SATAN, are miracles of GOD.


You see I have been tracking the NEW AGE MOVEMENT for Decades. For those who have never heard of this GURU, I warn you it will be shocking. Back in the Mid 90's there was a Pakistani GURU, that actually SAID:

Christ is a Position, not a person. Two thousand years ago, Jesus of Nazareth held that Position, now I do. You have got to forget everything you learned about Jesus of Nazareth, and follow me. In a little while I will go on International TV to do miracles to prove that I am now the Christ.

The GURU's name was Lord Maitreya


Yes that FALSE CHRIST IS STILL AROUND, and still has a following in Europe.

That is why I find it appalling that anyone calling themselves Christians would fall for those NEW AGE TEACHERS. BUT IT IS HAPPENING! They are RIPE to believe the Miracles of Satan, are miracles of GOD.

You See, I believe that NEW AGE and Genuine CHRISTIANITY are the EXACT OPPOSITE. Yes, I do believe that the Ecstatic Utterances that Charismatics want to call tongues, is a minor worry. The MAJOR WORRY is how NEW AGE TEACHING IS INFILTRATING OUR CHURCHES. Remember Satan's original LIE is: If you do what GOD does not want you to do, YOU WILL BECOME LIKE GOD! And Christians are falling for it all over the place. Do you think that Oprah Winfrey is a CHRISTIAN ? ? ? GUESS AGAIN:

The Holy Spirit quickened me and I just knew she was...

But denominations are useless. They have nothing to do with the fact we are all Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua!!

I have known of her biblical twists for years. She is definitely Demon Possessed!!

That is what the LETTERS to the Churches are all about. It is to show us, that HE walks among several denominations. Yes some are better than others at showing Brotherly LOVE, however, HE STILL WALKS AMONG THEM, as those who Belong to HIM. He KNOWS we are diverse in out thinking, and what appeals to each of us; therefore he allows that diversity to come out in Denominations. Therefore, I do not think Denominations are useless; they are GLORIFYING HIM in that they:

Some specialize in BIBLE TEACHING.

Some specialize in focusing on the Holy Spirit, our Helper.

Some specialize in the richness of the REVERENCE for HIM.

Some specialize in the Honoring HIM in the Ritualistic Order of Service.

Some excel in Honoring Him with Modern Music.

Some are pleasing to HIM with their Traditional HYMNS.

Etc.

WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT, and what appeals to one, will not appeal to another. THAT IS WHY HE ALLOWS DENOMINATIONS.

True Worship is WHAT GOES ON IN THE HEART, while many are just PLAYING CHURCH.

BUT EVEN THAT IS WITHIN HIS WILL:

HE is COMING AGAIN to Receive True Believers unto HIMSELF to be with HIM FOREVER.

Spot on, Brother, Spot on!!

We ALL have a purpose in God. And if we could ALL ever come together as believers, rather than as members of denominations, and God was FREE to use our gifts, we would see God in action like we read about within scripture.

God is the SAME yesterday - today - and every tomorrow!!
This is why I believe ALL GIFTS of the Holy Spirit are functioning.
The MOMENT any Gift stops, that means God is no longer the SAME as before.
And since God cannot change due to Him being perfect and He must keep His Word and Promise, His Gifts have not changed!!

What fail to recognize is the Miracles were for Apostles, and even them it WAS JESUS IN THEM DOING THE MIRACLES; specifically to VALIDATE the NEW TESTAMENT was from GOD, just like the JEWS remembered the PROPHETS did Miracles. When the New Testament was Complete, the PURPOSE FOR THEM was ended, therefore they STOPPED of their own accord.

By the time Paul was writing the Letter that became 1 Timothy, Paul could NO LONGER HEAL, so he did what any normal human being would do, JUST RECOMMEND THE BEST HOME REMEDY THAT HE KNEW OF.

23 Don’t continue drinking only water, but use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.


YES, I absolutely Believe GOD HEALS in answer to PRAYER. I have first hand knowledge of that. AND I DO NOT THINK WE CALL ON THE ELDERS TO PRAY FOR HEALING AS OFTEN AS WE SHOULD. But GOD does not GIVE that POWER to men, like those RELIGIOUS CHARLATANS you see on TV.

Then one has to forgo having faith, to believe the gifts have ceased. So, when Yeshua told us it takes Faith to believe in Him, takes faith to believe you are Saved, takes faith to face the enemy, takes faith to heal, takes faith to remove a mountain, He was lying?

If there is no Faith in healing, raising the dead, speaking to cancer and it just disappears, then there should be no faith in believing in a God we have never seen, or the faith to believe we are sinners and need God's Salvation.

If the Gifts are done, then Faith must be done.
Therefore, since faith is no longer active, NONE OF US are Saved!!

Oh my, now we're getting to the meat of it! I think the problem with faith, especially with regard to healing and such, is that we cannot manipulate God. Think about it, if all it took was Faith In Miracles, Christians would have figured that out a long time ago... And we would already rule the world. I've always said, if you want God to answer prayer 100% of the time then simply ask for his will to be done. We must have more faith in the fact that all is according to God's will... Not according to what we want.

Sometimes it is God's will to heal... Sometimes it's not.

Although I agree with you 100%,
God said our Faith can stop and change God's mind because He must honor it.
in my humble reasoning, I do not believe that man has yet to reach the level of faith that we have seen in the weakest believers of the Bible.

Even when we cannot physically see, we are to believe that God is with us 100% of the time. And still, no one has stepped out of the boat to see if they can walk on water...

What's interesting about Peter walking on water, it says he kept his eyes on Yeshua and walked to Him. He noticed the storm and began to sink. NOWHERE have I read in any translation, that Yeshua carried him back to the boat. It's obvious that Peter got his eyes back on God and walked with God back to the boat or wherever.

Ummmm..... you got me there. Where does it say that God must honor our faith even to the point of changing his mind?

It's not that He honored the Faith, as much as He knew beforehand He would answer your faith.

Several scriptures concerning it.


Then there is the case of who successfully argued with God:

God was going to kill the newly freed Hebrews over the golden calf but Moses interceded.
God was going to destroy sodom and ghomorrow 100% but Abraham interceded for Lot and his family
Mary asked Yeshua to turn water into wine but Yeshua said, it was not the time yet to perform miracles and such

Now, God knew beforehand He would honor these requests. But God still made it clear His intention.

He told Moses, I'm killing everyone
He told Abraham I'm killing everyone

But the Hebrew freed slaves and Lot's family lived (the wife lived but then disobeyed) after God said, I am going to kill them all!!

So, did God change His mind, honor their Faith, or this was just God making it seem one way knowing He would do it differently?
