i thought it would be interesting to put together all the things scripture calls immeasurable; that perhaps we would learn something by looking at them and trying to understand what this means. :)

i'm just going to try and list them for now; please add whatever you think of that i miss

That which is crooked cannot be made straight:
and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.
(Ecclesiastes 1:15)

And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea,
which cannot be numbered for multitude.
(Genesis 32:12)
And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen,
a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
(1 Kings 3:8)
Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark,
sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
(2 Chronicles 5:6)
As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured:
so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
(Jeremiah 33:22)

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered;
and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people,
there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
(Hosea 1:10)
Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done,
and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee:
if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
(Psalm 40:5)

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands
(Revelation 7:9)

I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number
(Job 5:8-9)
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
and His greatness is unsearchable.
(Psalm 145:3)
The heaven for height, and the earth for depth,
and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
(Proverbs 25:3)
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
(Romans 11:3)
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ

Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
(Job 11:7-9)
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure:
and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
(Isaiah 5:14)
And He went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased:
and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
(Mark 6:51)
And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well:
He maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
(Mark 7:37)

And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves,

who then can be saved?
(Mark 10:26)
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion,
how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it
(Galatians 1:13)
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not;
for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
(Revelation 11:2)

All nations before Him are as nothing;
and they are counted to Him less than nothing, and vanity.
(Isaiah 40:17)

Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.
The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
(Job 21:31-33)
For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me,
so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
(Psalm 40:12)
O LORD, how manifold are thy works!
in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable,
both small and great beasts.
(Psalm 104:24-25)
the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their visitation. The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood. They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.
(Jeremiah 46:21-23)
In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, He began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
(Luke 12:1-2)
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
(Hebrews 11:11-12)
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
(Hebrews 12:22-24)

If you think about the many truths set forth by God......God is past finding out by man unless God reveals himself unto man

That’s a interesting thought, so what would be the immeasurable part of that.

MAYBE not so much immeasurable, but rather just simple past finding out.......Romans/Corinthians are clear....NO ONE SEEKS, CAN KNOW or UNDERSTAND in their natural state......it literally takes divine intervention and enlightening by GOD.....God said....to WHOM will you liken me or to what will you compare me to....the answer is we have NOTHING we can compare GOD to and or LIKEN HIM TO....

So....by the very nature of being past finding out....he is in essence immeasurable........ ;)

Indeed God’s essence is quite immeasurable though if you seek God with your heart in a rightly way.

Psalm 89:6For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?

Proverbs 3:15She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Isaiah 40:18To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

Isaiah 46:5To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?

Mark 4:30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?

The bronze articles for Solomon's temple, mentioned several times, are noted as beyond measure:

1 Kings 7:47 Solomon left all the utensils unweighed, because they were too many; the weight of the bronze could not be ascertained.

2 Kings 25:16 The two pillars, the one sea, and the stands which Solomon had made for the house of the Lord—the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight.

1 Chronicles 22:14 Now behold, with great pains I have prepared for the house of the Lord 100,000 talents of gold and 1,000,000 talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond weight, for they are in great quantity; also timber and stone I have prepared, and you may add to them.

2 Chronicles 4:18 Thus Solomon made all these utensils in great quantities, for the weight of the bronze could not be found out.

Jeremiah 52:20 The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve bronze bulls that were under the sea, and the stands, which King Solomon had made for the house of the Lord—the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight.

Ephesians 3:19 (KJV) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

That's a good one...to 'know' that which passes 'knowledge'. IMMEASURABLE

A giant multiple vectors wit the magnitude of infinity, if we scale for average, Hebrews 13:8 same yesterday, today and forever. And Phil 2 Jesus is God by divine nature, yet out of humility ...

I see what post human is thinking, to better understand God, and such knowledge can be pleasing

Even an atom of God is fully God for he transcends math, math is a small glimpse

Ln(inf)/ln(finite) = infinity

This equation can be repeated infinitely, regardless of how big the dividing finite number can be

How can math from physical world comprehend the spiritual?

Jesus shed blood, infinite cleansing / finite blood = even a blood cell of Jesus can cleanse infinitely, is heaven made of his blood? If blood or water refers to the holy Spirit, is heaven made of the Holy Spirit? Yet Trinity, incomprehensible!

God is not comprised of atoms.

Atoms are merely physical things God created.

Yes, I agree. God has no beginning and no end.......... that sounds immeasurable to me.......

Kinda like the numberline...... I think God's Love is immeasurable......:love::love:

His Wisdom, His Peace, His Knowledge, He has no end................ yet, He sets things in motion and order for set times, seasons and purposes........

Yeshua/Jesus called Himself the Beginning and the End........
but, He has always been with the Father...... and is One with the Father.....

Yeshua/Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith...... perhaps this is why He refers to Himself as the Alpha and Omega......

Yes, like dc said, God is immeasurable.(y)
