I actually like it here, I have learned a lot here, I enjoy having my thinking stretched/challenged and also affirmed
Well I know people that are OSAS that avoid this forum like a plague because of the way people act here. (and they weren't talking about me) I've spoken to several. I wonder why?

There's another thread open about the issue we're talking about. I suggested we move over there, since this conversation is more appropriate for that thread. Plus it might get you guys out of your five person amen corner to interact with other Christians and learn from them instead of stagnating here.
Are you mocking this thread...You do not know how many have come to the truth through this thread , I myself is one...
Do you think God is not watching what goes on in here , and how it pleases Him that there are those who have been brought out from the broad path , and are now walking on the narrow path because of those who continue to swing the Sword of truth...

Why don`t YOU on your own go to your thread , seeing as this one is bringing you no joy , or has it gone stagnant already ?
You are mocking those of us who stand on the Word of God , and even if there was only two standing in the corner as you put it , God is amongst us , where there are two or three , He is with us...

I like the biblical approach to OSAS.......Jesus paid the price for all sins, it is finished...that is where God takes His stand and I stand with Him.

Even error has some truth in it. And rest assured, the following premises are errors.

a. A Christian can sin as much as he or she wants.

b. A person can be a servant of the flesh and the Spirit

c. Descriptive statements are prescriptive (that's my favorite error)

A foundational truth, the Gospel, must be protected

I like the biblical approach to OSAS too. Unfortunately, saying a Christian can sin all he wants and be saved, stop believing and die in unbelief and still be saved, and saying that a person who is saved is a slave of the flesh and the Spririt concurrently, and finally saying that there is no such thing as a genuine Christian is not the biblical model of OSAS.

Kept by the power of God through faith is. (1 Peter 1:5)

The Gospel does not say a Christian can sin as much as they want, it does not say that we were saved to be slaves to the flesh and the Spirit at the same time, it does not say that descriptive statements are prescriptive, and it does not say that there is no such thing as genuine Christians.

There have been threads far more contentious than this thread and the contention usually comes from people who argue salvation can be lost, or salvation can be earned, or salvation is by works ..... this is not supportable according to scripture

NONE OF WHICH PROPOSITIONS I BELIEVE. ;)

You guys seem to think that if one lives according to the Gospel AFTER they are saved, that is earning, retaining, or working for it. And you don't know the difference between a descriptive statement and a prescriptive one, as several of you have demonstrated dozens of times.

That is why you cannot COMPREHEND my words, not even the scriptures I post, because you do not know the difference between a descriptive and a prescriptive statement. Want examples, or are we done?

Never said you did, your doctrine is more subtle, still leads to the same conclusion

All those sins.....must be they were never really saved...you just have a different exit strategy

I already told you I don't examine anyone but myself and you replied. So why are you lying about me? or is your memory faulty?

You obviously do not believe in eternal security and you fail to acknowledge the truth that contradicts your hard fast blather.....

Does your JEEZUS FINISH and COMPLETE the faith you describe above in PETER? MINE DOES

Why do you suppose GOD chastises BELIEVERS <-->SONS that he receives?

Why does God yank rewards and inheritances from believers?

Why does God say some are saved yet SO AS BY FIRE?

Why are some cut loose for the destruction of the flesh?

See...your idiotic stand makes no room for the above and the truth that SIN in a believer is the answer to last four on the list!
