With some obnoxious peeps there are times when you give 'em your best shot. I do this occasionally. They probably got me on ignore.
Oh, I'd love to give 'em MY BEST SHOT....... although I DID kinda privately tell them what I thought of them....... HMMMMM....... I wonder if I'm being ignored yet.......Time will tell

I WISH THEY WOULD! But I think they enjoy the ( now lack of) attention they get. Maybe if I get as arrogant and cocky back they might, lol but that's NOT how I am..........
If you did that, then how are you different? How will your conscience feel later?
Even if you "aren't like that" people can still be pushed. And if you don't have a backup reasoning as well then how effective is "not being like that"? (=

they can still see yours; if i understand right, they won't have any obvious indication you've ignored them?

on the old version of this site, i think you still had an option to view any one of their posts by clicking on it; it just collapsed them or something? what is it like now -- do you see anything that indicates an ignored person has posted something at all? or do you have to un-ignore them before you would even know that they've written something?
The old site version allowed ingnored content to be shown if and when someone else quoted the person you had on ignore. Also, if the person you had on ignore became a guest, then all their content/posts became visible again :( This new system is so much better!

exactly my point....... which is why I don't get (intentionally) cocky and arrogant. And please forgive me if I do b/c none of us are perfect..... and I would never intentionally push someone "backup reasoning"....... I usually tend to have only the main reason..........

I was wondering why all the "Guest" were listed on older links............ I bet that caused some issues.......

I have a stupid question... This being a "Christian blog site", if you're willing to hit an ignore button on someone, doesn't it just mean that you're so emotionally invested in your own opinion and self edification that the feelings and thoughts of others no longer matter to you?
No...

In my experience it has little to do with differences i beliefs.. In my experience it has everything to do with unjustified person attacks.. There comes a point where the personal attacks become so toxic that it starts to have a detrimental psychological affect.. Therefore for the sake of peace of mind it is better for you and often for the toxic person to have contact ended..

I automatically put people on ignore when they blaspheme the Holy Spirit.. That is a very rare event thanks be to God.. When it happens then yes that persons thoughts no longer matter to me.. They are already damned to eternity in the Lake of Fire..

Yes they can unless they have you on ignore too.
I would greatly prefer that a clean break was made.. The antagonost should not be able to see your posts after you put them on ignore.. A 100% break is what it should be..

Well fortunately for me....... they either got the clue and blocked me (which I'd prefer them Not to see me, I don't mind seeing them) or they got the clue and have stopped following and cutting in.............. either way It seems to be done now (hopefully). I used to be on a site where "ignore/block" meant the person could not see you to follow/harass around, that's why I was wondering how it worked here.........

A guest is someone who has asked for their account to be deleted. It is one way people try to control their internet usage/addiction, though that is not the only reason members leave. When someone becomes a guest, they can no longer sign in to post, and all content connected to their account is deleted as well, so there is no history to search, either, which is unfortunate.
