2) John MacArthur is WRONG – Word of Faith and Prosperity preachers are false, but they are not the heart and soul of charismatics today. This is the problem I have with many of the more virulent cessationists – their tendency to paint the extremes of the C/P movement as the norm.

I’ve seen some of those same people complain about those who have applied the same technique with Calvinists and Calvinism. A lady in my previous church once asked, “Why do you guys spend so much time on these outreaches. If God wants to save them, he will.” That is an extreme and dangerous viewpoint. But it is not representative of the Calvinist movement as a whole. In my church, some of the most actively evangelistic and “missional” people in our church are the “five-point” club (with a few 4 point members). Calvinists do not want their viewpoint defined by those extremes, nor is it fair or accurate to do so. Cessationists, many of whom are Calvinists, should not employ this unfair tactic and define charismatic/Pentecostals by the extremes.

I think it is unfair to sit back in our spiritual enclaves and paint our theological opponents in extreme terms. Calvinists are the enemy. Anti-Calvinists are out to destroy the Calvinists. Charismatics are wackos. Non-Calvinists don’t like the Holy Spirit. When we paint our theological opponents as extremists, we damage the Body of Christ.

So, I appreciate Dr. MacArthur’s willingness to draw theological lines against false doctrine and those who promote them, but I think he goes too far when he tends to paint the extremes of the movement as the norm.

I love your testimony there 7 , and also people alike...
But the people who claim they are walking and working in the Holy Spirit by the behaviors which has been shared around now for many years are jokers , there is nothing holy in them which can clearly be seen by the actions they do on stage to just flece the money...

And I was not flinging stones , I was speaking from the passion in my heart against these money grabbing people using poor people for their evil ways...

As for the BDF , I do not see any reason why you should raise that up to me , my LORD is my keeper , no one else...xox...

So yes, If you support that person, it would APPEAR you are saying you woould like to see that done to everyone so they could be healed also.

Am going to say this as clear as possible....when one is operating in power, it is not the persons power. It's the power of Holy Spirit. That power causes people to fall, roll, (which is where the term holy rollers come from) and do things that are very hard to contain. Some have gone into visions, others into heaven itself. These are miraculous, are of God but if you want to find them in the scriptures? They may or may not be there.

How about an axe floating in water? Or a tree flung into water making bitter waters sweet? Symbolic yes, but in reality happened. Putting your leprous hand inside your shirt and and being healed or vice versa. It's been a while since I've read the OT so I hope I'm not misquoting.

You can't dictate to God or His Spirit what He can or cannot do. You just judge the results.

And all this stuff that stinks that's suspicion and not truth....the devil ain't that good.

Suspicion is not the gift of discernment. You will see demons on people, in people, have open visions etc.

No guessing with the giftings of Holy Spirit.


The power of Holy Spirit or the fullness that Jesus had, I'm sure would cause us to either be transformed, or to blow up.

So it was Holy Spirit that came on that child if the child was healed. No injury ever reported but healing was.

Falling or rolling is not the same as being thrown, if being pulled up in a state where you are dead or paralised and allowed to fall to the ground numerous times. (Although I disagree with that also. The people in the NT got up and did those things imediately. They did not fall over or roll on the ground)

Remember, That is what you were defending earlier.

It is the same EG. The power of God will manifest in all these ways as He desires, same as giving out giftings. It's His work. I can't say anything else.
