The five/two way of eating really works. You eat five days a week and two days a week you just have fruit or juice.
Lots of walking also helps. Pilates is also supposed to be beneficial. I have tried it but I found it too hard. Trying to master your breathing plus keep your core stable plus do the exercises is just way too hard.

That might not work well for me... I can eat a barrel of fruit.

And I mean that both ways. I like fruit a lot, I can eat a lot of it. And I can eat a lot without having digestive trouble. I'd probably gain weight on that 5/2 thing.

i loved playing him because i almost always lost

it's the same with swordfighting; i want to spar with people better than me. it's the only way i get better, i figure ;)
It is so true that playing peeps better than you improves our abilities. I hope in doesn't do the opposite for the ppl playing with the lesser skilled, lolol.

Well, I use my break time at work to walk laps around the parking lot (at least when it's tolerable to nice out, if there's 2 feet of snow I'm staying inside). And in theory I eat low carb meals, in practice it seems I eat low carb meals for a few days then decide I'm going to have dessert or pizza or some of whatever tasty treat bible study group has for snack. And after a few days of bad food I decide I need to eat properly again.
Brrrrs, yes do laps inside on those days, lol. I read a study that when ppl do things like that at work, it improves their work. They should give you a raise, :D. Lol@in theory and in practice. I get those on again off when it comes to yummy delicious food, cinder.

No, I don't workout or eat right. And let's just say....it's starting to show on my body as I get older. Might be overweight before long if I'm not careful.
We you are blessed that you have been able to partake and not workout and it remain undetected. I understand though that time causes our metabolism to switch it up.

I have two gym memberships, free weights, a treadmill, a mountain bike, a wetsuit, a bodyboard, swim fins, and two drumsets. And I barely use any of them :sneaky:
Hahaha well you can always say, it is the thought that counts, lol. At least you want to, kinda, lol.

I don't eat right. I eat left. Whatsoever my hand findeth to eat, I eateth with all my might.

Actually I don't eat it with all my might. I think that might be my saving grace. I don't like being bloated-full. But I do eat what I want. ...

I also drink BEFORE meals, rather than WITH meals. Something my mommy taught me. It's much healthier, and after getting used to it, it feels much more natural than having all your lunch sloshing around in a belly full of water.

But with all that, the pounds did start creeping up on my the last few years. So last year I took up biking. My job is about 14 miles away so every day that is not freezing or pouring I bike there and back. It worked pretty well last year... then winter and holidays happened, so here I go biking again this year.
Wow that is a lot of riding, and an awesome way to get out in nature.

Lol@whatsoever...

You know my mama taught me that drink water before i eat too, but I have fallen our of that habbit. Thanks for reminding me.

I never heard of the 5/2. I have a berries and yogurt for breakfast often. I'll look into it but I am not sure my body can process that much fructose on the 2 days.

Two days of just fruit would make your blood sugar all wonky.
That's why people struggle with weight. People think fat is the major culprit, it's actually sugar.
Unstable blood sugar loads on the pounds.
Meals and snacks should be anchored with protein.

Agreed. Our bodies react to sugar the same whether it's from a piece of fruit or a candy bar. It can't tell the difference.
Eating berries and yogurt is a great breakfast! Berries have fibre as well, and the yoghurt (especially if it's Greek) has lots of protein. I have this often for a snack at work.

So just curious, do you all workout and eat right?

I am so out of shape, but started back at it last week. Lord...have mercy, lol. I am determined to be consistent, moderate and realistic with expectations, to be more concerned with health and well-being than the scale or inches.

It just has me wondering...do my Brothers and Sisters in Christ here on CC exercise and all that stuff?

So do you and if so, what do you like to do?

I have been playing racquetball, hiking and some weights, nothing radical. What is harder for you, eating healthy or exercise? I told my daughters that I can not stop for at least a month and then set another goal. You know, no getting onboard for a week, then just say...nahhhh, lol.
I have a part-time job that's like a HIIT workout, and I also work out at home. I usually eat right, but not always.

I walk 30 minutes every weekday. If I miss a day I make up for it on the weekend. I love it! Sometimes I jog...but generally I walk quickly.
As far as diet goes I try to do keto when I can but I mess up a lot! lol I'm not suppose to have a lot of sugary foods. They're bad for me. I even get a rash on my neck if I eat too much of it.

Oh that is too bad about the reaction to sugar but it is a good way to protect your body from too much, I suppose. Also, it sounds like you are consistently moderate and sensible about your activity...that's awesome sis.
