I'm sure there are people here who have been there. The point where something happens internally or externally and it causes you to really stumble in life. Whether you fell into drugs or became really depressed or had someone close to you die and it really affected you, etc.

I know this is kind of a dark topic for a Christian forum and I apologize for that. And if you don't feel like sharing, I completely understand.

But for those of you who don't mind sharing, what happened in your life that put you in such a spot? How did you recover or move past that point in your life? If you have, that is.

There hasn't been such a time for me....yet. But I was wondering what my fellow CC members would say.

For me it was when my mum passed away. I was very close to her. I remember feeling numb as though it was a dream. Recovery just took time and God's help. That was 19 years ago.

For me it was the time I got rejected by an internet predator. I probably would have killed myself if I didn't know Jesus said it was a sin. The main recovery took about a week, but then months after also, to get back to normal. Sometimes, I still wonder what became of her, and all the other psychopaths, and who they are preying on, and what makes them tick.

I remember when my Mom passed away seven years ago. She was my closest friend and it felt like a part of me died with her.

When my daughter passed on. But God has been so beautiful letting me hear from her, frequently. One night, shortly after this happened, the same message was given on Christian TV by two people. They both looked into the camera and said 'Someone has just lost a loved one and they want you to know they are happy and for you not to be sad'!
I also find 'pennies' (from heaven) almost every time I go out and nice to know we'll meet again in a most glorious place in the future. I miss her but hard to be sad when I know exactly where she's at and who she's with.

That is terrible dcontroversal and tourist. I pray that God will give you both the comfort, peace and help that he gave me when my mum passed away. Take care.

I would say mine was 10 years ago when I found out my ex husband was a cheater and a liar.
That began several years of waiting on God and seeking Him in regards to 'What's next'?
6 years later (after several attempts to reconcile) I knew that He was releasing me from my marriage.
I had to surrender my hopes of a godly marriage, more children, and everything I believed Jesus had in store for me.
I've been divorced for 5 years now and I recognize God's protective hand and blessings in the midst of all that turmoil.
I also know that what transpired wasn't what God wanted either. The situation I was in was as heartbreaking to Him as it was to me.
He is faithful. 💜

I'm more interested in how people get delivered or how they overcome, or how God gavehave them the bridge to cross from point a to point b

You could start a thread asking that specifically. I'm sure you'd get a good response. 😉
