Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2

My question is, when corruptible put on incorruption, and mortal put on immortality, what will our "Glorified Bodies be able to do since we shall be like our Lord Jesus Christ at the Rapture?

Walk on water I expect. Now that would be amazing.

Fly. I dont know why I think this but I really hope we can fly in our glorified bodies without use of machinery, more like birds. Cos I am not sure how Jesus ascended up into heaven if he didnt fly. Or were the angels carrying him up? Its not said.... maybe gravity had no hold on him anymore. He was so light, that he could just float up. Kind of like levitation?

Worship my Lord... That is what excites me.

I don't believe in a worldly heaven, I believe in the one shown to us in the Book of Revelations.. where we will be dressed in white, all standing before the throne, so many we cannot be counted, all worshipping our Father..

it's beautiful, and that is where I want to be for all of eternity, and what I want to do!

Aaaannnddd... the connection is what, precisely? Are you implying that those who don't hold to a future rapture are going to be turned into pillars of salt?

One thing we could do when we are in our glorified bodies is beat the angels by our power and might, but we would not do that, and would have no desire to do that.

The Bible says angels are ministering spirits to the saints, and are their servants.

The Bible says the angels desire to look in to the salvation of the saints.

God loves the angels, but people will have a higher position in heaven than that of the angels, for they will have a glorified body like the man Christ Jesus.

And you know the glorified body that Jesus has would be greater in power than that of an angelic body, for Jesus is God, so the saints would have more power than that of the angels in heaven with their glorified body compared to an angelic body.

And of course if angels can go around through the air with their angelic body, then the saints in a glorified body would be able to do that also.

The saints in glorified bodies will be the greatest body in heaven, even greater than the 24 elders, and the 4 beasts, for they would have to be having a glorified body like God's glorified body as He sits on the throne in heaven, and shines through that glorified body and lights the New Jerusalem.

Although thinking about the 24 elders, and 4 beasts, you would think they would be great, but they are creations, and it was all made for people, all of creation, starting with the man Christ Jesus.

For He is the beginning of creation, and the firstborn of all the creatures, for it was already a plan of God to come in the flesh, and give salvation, before God started creation, and I do not believe the 24 elders, and 4 beasts, are a manifestation of God, but a creation.

So no creature can top Jesus in a glorified body, and the saints in glorified bodies would be the greatest creature in heaven, and have the highest position in heaven with the exception of Jesus who is above all for He is God.

Anything an angel can do with their angelic body the saints can do with their glorified body, but with more power, and speed.

The connection is to the Rapture.

LUKE 17 (the Rapture and the Second Coming are not clearly demarcated in this chapter. Below we have the Rapture presented)
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Just as Lot, his wife, and daughters, were taken out of Sodom before divine judgment, the Church will be taken out from the world (at the Rapture) before the coming divine judgments.

Lot's wife was not fully committed to leaving Sodom (for whatever reason), looked back wistfully, and paid a high price for straddling the fence. The angels were literally dragging this family out of Sodom, and that should have been sufficient. Even after, that Lot and his daughters behaved unrighteously, but nonetheless God called Lot righteous (surprisingly). Evidently he was justified by grace through faith, but failed to maintain a godly testimony.

Not very likely. The angels would still be more power physically than the saints. Recall the annihilation of Sennacherib's army.

Those kind of messengers do not have literal body. No flesh and blood but rather lying unseen spirits.. .If they did then we could wrestle against flesh and blood, rather than spirits not seen as well as principalities in high places.

We will be able to do more, not less. That is what 'glorified' implies. A big upgrade. We will not be tempted to sin because our glorified brains will tell us how stupid it is to not want to please Him with all our heart, mind, and soul. We will relish the pleasure of bathing in His warm love forever and ever.

Phil 3:20-21 . .Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a savior
from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to
bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that
they will be like his glorious body.

1• His glorious body is capable of dining upon ordinary foods.

Luke 22:15-16 . . I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you
before I suffer. For I tell you: I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in
the kingdom of God.

2• His glorious body is capable of imbibing ordinary beverages.

Matt 26:29 . . I tell you: I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now
on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom.

3• His glorious body is visible to the naked eye.

Acts 1:11 . . Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This
Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the
same way as you have watched him go into heaven.

Rev 1:7 . . Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see
him, even those who pierced him

"So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;"

So, just from the scripture above, we know that whether we are dead and resurrected or living and changed, our upgraded bodies will no longer perish, i.e. will not grow old, decay and finally die, but will be immortal.

And though because of the sinful nature this currently body was sown in dishonor, i.e. shame, disgrace, worthless, it will be raised or changed a glorified body i.e. having worth (value) to God.

And this body that was sown in weakness i.e. want of strength, weakness, illness, suffering, calamity, frailty, it will be raised IN POWER. What powers those will be scripture does not say. But I'm sure of this, those upgraded bodies will have knowledge far beyond anything that we currently have. We will probably be mathematical geniuses far above any intelligence currently on the earth. We may be able to go from one place to another by just thinking about it and pass through solid matter as the Lord did.

Consider this, Paul said "Don't you know that we shall judge the world. Don't you know that we shall judge angels?" It would take Godly wisdom for us to be able to rightly judge them in a legal sense.

I don't think that we can truly understand all that we have inherited through faith in Christ, but I'm sure that it is beyond our imagination.
