Just grow in God's Word and stir up the Holy Spirit within you. Eat and drink God and His Word into your soul and spirit. The body will follow where the soul and spirit go.

Get in a really good "Bible based Bible Study" and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you! It's time we just grow up!

I highly recommend BSF - Bible Study Fellowship. They are international - all over the globe in just about every country. They refrain from denominations and just stick with the Bible - The Word of God and encourage students to NOT read commentaries but, ONLY rely on the Holy Spirit to teach you.

It's how I learned to lean on and fellowship with the Holy Spirit as my Teacher. I highly recommend finding a BSF class in your area......just google.

I'll be attending in my area. The study this year is the Book of Acts and Letters of the Apostles which includes Acts, I Corinthians, I & II Thessalonians, Hebrews, I Peter and James.(y)

Sounds interesting.
The word "Just" sounds like an exclusive statement. I would say "grow in God's word and stir up ones spirit within you"
I was using the word "just" to mean "simply" - trying to keep the understanding in a simple way that is easy to understand - not complicated. I need to stir up the Holy Spirit within me, not my spirit.

The Holy Spirit uses everything, to add to the diverse and infinite different emphasises in scripture.
God never intend one definitive outlook, which is why we are a body, a fellowship.
Have you ever relied completely on the Holy Spirit to teach you the scriptures? He unlocks deep truths and secrets that solidify and increase our faith in God. Some commentaries are good but, relying on commentaries for understanding the scriptures is not good.

Jesus on at the transfiguration discussed with Moses and Elijah the future outcomes and approach of
the cross etc. God is always into discussion, balance, sharing, group conclusions. The Lord proposed to
Moses to destroy Israel and build a new nation, but Moses brought a different perspective.
On the Mount of Transfiguration, Yeshua/Jesus was being examined by The Law and The Prophets when He met with Moses and Elijah. Before Yeshua/Jesus could go to the cross He had to make sure He had fulfilled all the works that the Law required and all the works that the Prophets had spoken concerning the Messiah as Savior. He became transfigured which means He passed both examinations - all the WORKS of the Law and The Prophets were recorded in His Human Body. He was now the One and Only Perfect Lamb of God - the Perfect Sacrifice for us. He was ready and approved to go to the cross.

Moses knew God and loved Him. That's what we're suppose to be focused on.

God discussed with Lucifer regarding Job how he was a sign of someone bringing faith and glory to God.
Job knew God and loved Him. That's what we're suppose to be focused on.

Rather than limiting the voices, we need to understand them and then go forward in love and grace.
God bless you
God bless you, too!(y)

Was paul decieved wjen he mentioned struggling against sin?
What for ?.... since to some,a christian has no real need for forgiveness.
What parent would raise a child like that.?
You forgive them over and over, but if the child sees he is automatically forgiven,he sees mischief as a nonissue.

There is something funky about that "all future sins are forgiven"
It puts asking for forgiveness as bizarre and definately off the table.

Knowing He will forgive me does not anahilate a christians need for those words respoken from heaven to the repentant christian.

Correct. All our sins were paid for at Calvary, and when we repent and receive Christ as Lord and Savior, all our PAST sins are forgiven and forgotten. However, we must deal with our PRESENT sins, and the first epistle of John tells us what we must do to maintain fellowship with God and Christ.

There are false teachers out there who teach that Christians do not need to confess their present sins, since all FUTURE sins were forgiven upon conversion. That is contrary to the Word of God.

Living a godly life has NOTHING to do with earning or maintaining salvation.
Okay, how do you handle all of the dire NT warnings about habitual sinning, for example?
You are calling the warnings of the epistle writers silly.
Not to mention Jesus' warnings!
How do you handle the NT verses which state that
those who practice righteousness are righteous?

Please answer the questions ... and don't repeat the same stuff you've already posted.

A spiritual relationship with an omniscient and omnipresent being is different than a relationship with people.

God knew every sin before it happened and He dealt with and forgave all that sin on the cross.

Those warnings, those laundry lists of sins recorded in several Books like Galatians and Corinthians, are meant for followers of Christ to examine themselves to see if they have INDEED been born again, with the Holy Spirit’s indwelling Presence, having been sealed by Him.

Paul and other writers are telling those that THINK they are saved to see if they are engaging in ongoing persistent sin, without even experiencing conviction over those sins.

It is NOT for those that WERE already washed and made new by the Blood of Christ, and a forever saved Child of God.

If this is what that course of yours is teaching, RUN from it.
Yep. The warning and the answer

John said those born of God are unable to habitualy sin

So why do you continue to ignore what John said? And insist a child of God who has his HS in them, can habitually sin?

Now, IF "habitually sinning" means lasting until the day one dies, you're probably correct.
Happy now?

They are warnings to EVERYONE to examine themselves!
Believe me, any BAC can and does sin.
Haven't you heard about the Confidential Polls ...
whereupon many pastors admitted to their addiction to porn?
IMO, they're silently crying out for help (in confidence)!

Comprehension skills son! That’s what I said. We have to examine ourselves. Has nothing to do with losing your Salvation.

Dost thou needest to read some NT verses about:
LOSING ETERNAL LIFE, GAINING ETERNAL DEATH, etc.

Aaaah yes, I see that I haven't posted that thread here yet.
And since you do NOT have a NT, I'd better do so ... post haste!

BC, God has saved us and called us to live a godly life that is pleasing to Him.

Yeshua/Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more."

Yeshua/Jesus has set us free - sin no longer is our taskmaster. He has given us power over sin.

Salvation is God's work in us and for us. Now, we need to live a godly life which comes as we learn to walk according to the Spirit, not our flesh.

The more we study God's Word - the Bible and spend time fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, we get to know God more and more, as we do this we also love God more and more.

The more we get to know and love God, the less we sin. Our focus really needs to be on knowing and loving God more and more......(y)

Living a godly life has NOTHING to do with earning or maintaining salvation.

Okay BC, I looked up your quote "those who practice righteousness are righteous" and it has nothing to do with salvation.

Yeshua/Jesus is speaking about how we are to do our good works in secret so that we don't draw attention to ourselves to be seen by people but, that our Father in Heaven will reward us. Also, He goes on to tell us to store up our treasures in Heaven - our good works earn us rewards/treasures in Heaven but, they do NOT earn or maintain our salvation.

Matthew 6:1-8 New International Version (NIV)
Giving to the Needy
6 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Prayer
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babblinglike pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you needbefore you ask him.

Matthew 6:16-19 New International Version (NIV)
Fasting
16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Treasures in Heaven
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

Okay BC, I looked up your quote "those who practice righteousness

I was referring to 1 John ...

1 John 3:7-10
7 Little children, let no one deceive you.
He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that He might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him;
and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest:
Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God,
nor is he who does not love his brother.

You just don't understand anything, do you?
You've just proved it to the world.
I really don't know what I can do to help you.
Whatever,

Your the one who does not understand..Your trying to make a simple term mean somethign it does not mean.

But then again, You do not think eternal means eternal. So it just goes to show a pattern.

And your right, You can’t help me, God already did. He saved me and adopted me as his child. He gave me every blessing under heaven.

The only thing you offer is continued death

No where in I John 3:7-10 does it say that doing good works earns or maintains salvation.

Being born again, born of God - we are new creations created unto good works in Christ Jesus. Of course, we will have good works but NOT to earn or maintain our salvation. Salvation is a GIFT.

The "seed" is Christ - He is in us and we are growing more and more in Him.

If you are NOT practicing righteousness, you are a child of the devil.

I do not know who those 2 children are in your foto, but I am going to offer a special prayer for them.
I pray God does not allow them to be lead by you down the path of heresy you are preaching.
I pray they will reject your heresy and find Jesus as their Savior.
