Many brothers in my denomination say that the church building is a holy place, but only during the service. Outside that period of time the building deserves respect, but not admiration as the word "reverence" encompasses. But the important point being discussed here is this: Why don't Law-keepers put together a list of effective laws of Moses?

Dear Marcelo, Why don't you start the list?
Don't Murder
Don't Steal
Don't Covet

I am pretty sure these are items you vehemently support, so why not on a list for you? These are laws you keep and insist on right? If so you are a lawkeeper.

Like I stated before. When you start trying to keep the Fourth Commandment you will be attacked by Satan and his army. They will come at you with the fierceness of all your friends and family. That is like a threshold point that the evil forces of this world will not stand for. If and when you survive this attack, the Holy Spirit will be guiding you, that is a promise. You won't endure without God's help. View attachment 202167
If the Holy Spirit should ever guide me to keep the Sabbath, I will do it.

Any response to the temple feedback? You ask, I take time to share and you do not reply? Why not?

Regarding physical buildings, have you considered;

Mat 18:20 KJV For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Because the Bible says that if I break one of the commandments I'll be guilty of breaking all of them.

If you seek, knock, and ask regarding specific things with a heart to know and abide by what you are shown you will be guided, PROVIDED! You give due diligence to studying out the scriptures thoroughly regarding what you are intent on understanding. You will not receive guidance you do not seek after diligently!

Am I to draw from your comment; that if The Holy Spirit led you to keep Gods commandments and you concluded that if you could only keep 99 out of a hundred of them but for that one you would be held accountable for them all then you would decide "to hell with it" I may as well break any of them that I want since I will receive the same penalty?

Oh, sorry, I was busy with a phone call.

It seems to me that the temple referred to in that verse is a physical temple, not a spiritual one. The Hebrews were supposed to show reverence to the temple where they worshiped God.

OK, but I still think you should put together a list of effective Mitzvot.

just for the record, I have nothing against anyone who chooses to honor the twilight fri. - through twilight sat. jewish Sabbath. nothing at all.

but, what I do have a massive problem with is anyone saying that Christ-following gentiles, who were never under the Law of Moses, have to keep it. because it is a straight up, Scripture ignoring lie.

in Lev. 26, God the Father spoke of " the Covenant he made with the fathers of those who came out of Egypt?

what Covenant? the one mediated by Moses between God and Israel.

so, if you cannot trace you ancestry back to those who crossed the red sea, then that Covenant, which contained the Law and the Sabbath, was NOT made for ort with you.

Amen. Love is placed at the centre.
I whole heartedly agree, love in our hearts in the Kingdom of Heaven come to reign through
Christ and the cross.

Gods word works through us and comes to bring us to this place, where we are just bowedhe
before Him, honouring who He is and knowing the love He has placed within us, the power
of the Kingdom, eternity and love working its way through every aspect of our lives.
The more the Lord gives me words to describe His gift of life, example, life, walking, care and
to feel my heart learning these realities, I rise in praise to the King, There are not words but
my spirit makes them in tongues, to honour He who took us as enemies and has made us
friends.

To then have people who call themselves followers and believers say such terrible things and
imply the worst realities, is just speaking in the dark, lost words of blind men, not knowing
who they face or even the discussion that is taking place. I love people who testify to God working
in them turning them round from sinner to saint, it fills me with joy. I cannot judge anyone
who calls Jesus Lord and walks with Him because there is my heart. As innocent as doves and
as wise as serpents.

We do not need to know the why just the what of some. God bless you all, I truly love you
brothers and sisters in Christ, full of the Holy Spirit bringing glory to His name, Amen

I think the reverence is only due to the presence of God. If He is there then yes otherwise, no. Today, He only dwells in us. So we hold our bodies in high regard as they serve to house Him, His Holy Spirit.

Hi Marcelo.
There are not "mitzvot" for christians, but principles. Those principles are resumed in two, as Jesus said: love God and love your neighbor. That means everything that implies you don't love God or you don't love another person is something anyone must avoid. We don't need a list for that ... A trained conscience knows what can harm others, and a guide to know is if we ourselves would be harmed in some way if another person does the same thing to us.

If you started you own list, which I read you say totals Zero, i would read it. If the Holy Spirit speaks to your heart to obey, yu do it. This is your list.

Even back in the time of Moses when he first gave the list, not everything applied to every person's situation. That was one of my earlier points last week. So when asked to provide a list that everyone is to follow today, the question doesn't compute because the list already exists. Just read it and see what applies to you and your situation and then do those things.

...but the question is still putting the cart before the horse...

After the receipt of the Holy Spirit, the intention of the Holy Spirit is to move the person to love Yah will ALL of their heart, soul, mind and strength. That doesn't mean what the world has redefined love to mean (i.e. "a high level of emotion and affection for..."). It means to put in energy, to give your all, your maximum effort to please Yah, even at your own expense (self-sacrifice).

...because (with the Holy Spirit in you) you WANT to do that. You want please Yah as much as humanly possible...which is specifically what "the holy spirit inside" was prophesied to do from ancient time.

...to provide the "WANT to"; that very desire. The unction. It's the Messiah's very own Spirit and that's all HE wanted to do when he was here in the flesh.

This was the missing piece of the puzzle that caused Israel and Judah to fail to obey. They lacked the desire.

The Messiah's very own Spirit inside of a person will cause that person to desire to do everything the Messiah's did. It can't not do that. It is written that such is what the promised Spirit was going to do once it was given.

With it, a person will not not want to do all that's in their power to do to obey. This is what Paul explains when he talks about the Spirit of Christ in Romans.

This is the mystery of godliness finally revealed: Christ in you.
Great post I'm so glad you said this about the "list" and that it is according to the individual. I read sources that say there are 613 or so, but have not gone thru the books to count them. For the sake of communicating I'll use that list and right away I see much of it pertains to the temple sacrifices. There are those who relate to the priests, to judges/ people in authority, for married men, so on. I am a married woman, a grandma/ great grandma, no livestock or crops. There is not a lot of commands for me. Some of these instructions are antiquated as we now have indoor plumbing etc. I just don't see what is so hard about them, they are beautiful and courteous instructions designed to cause us to have a better life. Imagine not having to lock your doors because no one steals, kills, does harm? I do remember when I was a little girl, we didn't lock our doors. It was out in the country, nothing bad ever happened around us back then it was so nice. When our Messiah comes back He will rule with an iron rod! Every one will bend the knee. I consider what we do here in this life is practice. :)

Another thing, when Yahshua walked the earth He kept the commands perfectly, didn't He? Yet, we know He did not do the ones for the Levite priests, judges, women, etc. When we uphold what pertains to us, we uphold them all it seems.

I disagree with this point, or with the way I understand it (cause I can misunderstand sometimes English language) ...

Just to be sure: Are you saying that Jesus did not obey some commandments of the Law of Moses?

This nonsense will keep you in darkness.

You will never understand, because sadly someone has perverted your thinking..

1. Jesus was not a levite.
2. He was nto a judge
3. He was not a woman.

Yet he FULFILLED THE LAW

How? He never sinned once,, he did not keep the whole law yet stumble in one point, he did confirm the fathers commands, and he DID obey every jot and tittle. Then he became the lamb of God who was sleign for the sin of the world. And now sits as high priest in the order of melchisadek (because the arronic priesthood was flawed)

If the Holy Spirit should ever guide me to keep the Sabbath, I will do it.
Jesus is Our Sabbath Jesus became Our Sabbath We rest in Jesus everyday
"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days."~Colossians 2:14-16

Blotting out Triumphing over them No more "specific" day. Let it go. Just like law of Moses.

We have a before Jesus period and after Jesus period.
The law of sin and death = before Jesus after Jesus = no more law of sin and death

NEW LAWS, a New Covenant, a better one, one with a Comforter sent to help us, One where the flesh dies and the spirit rises as a NEW CREATURE
