Answer: THERE AREN"T ANY UNBELIEVERS. Cornelius and his companions spoke in tongues, indicating that they were no longer unbelievers. Peter and his companions were believers. There were no unbelievers present. The "speaking in tongues" was NOT a sign to unbelievers, because there weren't any unbelievers there to observe the sign!

It's that simple. You're complicating it with your irrelevant esoteric additions. Your position that "tongues" are always a sign to unbelievers cannot be correct, because it is not valid in this case.

Where in Scripture does it say that 'tongues' are always a sign to unbelievers? NOWHERE.

I would be careful on how you desire to hear his understanding (not of our own selves) . It is easy to get it turned upside down as if inspired from earth (us) after a dream. Not through our dreams they are pictures we create needed to heal our psyche God is greater than our conscience . If no dreams after 48 hours or so. A person starts to become psychotic. Dreams are like oxygen or our daily bread for these bodies that will die. Everyone needs to dream.

He brings to our mind the things he has taught us by which we receive His meaning. Interpretations belong to God, not dreamer of dreams

Deuteronomy 13:1-3 King James Version (KJV) If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Dreamer of dreams that could come to pass would seem to be a phrase that identifies those who do seek after the understanding of dreams .Again God is greater that our conscience the power of dreams which is not a source of faith .It can be used as a help but never a source understanding God..

Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land;( Source of faith) and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish Jeremiah 27:9-10
