Like many people my age, I often think that my life is about me. It isn’t. And sadly that has been shown very visibly with my health as a result.

I’m 28 and 330 pounds. A large part (about 100lbs of it) was due to medication, but that doesn’t make the results any less present.

Please pray I learn to be a steward of this body and this life I’ve been given. And Lord forgive me for taking it for granted. I only hope I am able to truly make a repentant turn around in time before things get worse.

Please try not to be so hard on yourself. I will pray for God to give you clarity of thought and the courage to take decisive action in your service to the Lord. This will improve your self-esteem and allow you to be more productive.

The important thing is to start taking incremental steps towards getting out into the world and take your rightful place on the world stage.

I believe that you have been operating under the premise of fear and guilt but now it is time to live under a new paradigm. You lack confidence in yourself and your abilities but you must remember that you are serving a God of love who want you to have life and to have it more abundantly.

The time is now to start moving forward in a positive direction, to boldly go where you have not gone before. You will not be walking alone because God has gone before you to prepare the way and the Holy Spirit will be with you to comfort and guide you on this spiritual journey you must take.

Remember friend that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Persevere and pray. I believe you will get there.

Praying for you may God bless your health.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness(Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you.

You're in a decent frame of mind since you are not denying that the way you are is unhealthy. I pray that God will give you the wisdom you need to carry on in a more healthy life-style and that you will be prepared to take what steps are necessary to lose weight. Also that you would feel forgiveness for the actions you have taken, and that your mood would become happier and action oriented.

Steph, the first step you have undertaken is realizing your temple belongs to Him and we must be good stewards of ALL He has entrusted to us! For He alone gives breath and life. I believe you heath will improve in this undertaking as well. We need to MOVE,if you can only walk to the end of your block and back, that's a start. There is also a book floating around, you may possibly find it thru an internet search about a biblical diet. It is spiritually based but you must consult with your physician if you find it. You have been in my prayers since you first requested us to pray about you weight problem. We are here for you ,dear,we are supporting you thru prayers, you however have to act upon what you know to do! A safe healthy diet and moving as in walking! Blessings on your very hard journey.......I BELIEVE....YOU....CAN DO IT!

It’s so true that we need to be a good steward of the resources the Lord puts in our life, and you are to be commended for your desire to honor Him. I’m praying for God’s wisdom and direction for you in a loving way, ArtsieSteph. May He take care of all things concerning your life and may you seek/follow Him earnestly in the days ahead.

Dear AS,
seems as though The Lord is working on convicting your heart in order for you to be His able-bodied servant -
ECC. 9:10.
Whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom,
in the grave, whither thou goest.

just as a personal witness:
when I, the hub, was (28), I was diagnosed with MS - I was put on powerful medications that made me
horribly worse, and I wanted to die and went through much self-pity, but, The Lord rattled my cage, and showed me
to just use my (common-sense) and to go in another direction - I did, and now I am '70'yrs. old, and very HEALTHY...

I will just say this to you, 'Go where God is leading you, and put every bit of your 'heart-soul-mind' into it...
if you do this, then you will see 'results' and will continue to grow from Faith-to-Faith...

when we truly are serving Him, we will 'over-come' ALL things that were keeping us from walking-in His Light...
:):)
