To all the greeters in the introduce yourself forum, and to those who show hospitality in the chat portion... your kindness and hospitality are such a blessing to us all.

As just another member, I say thank you. I am often inspired to do the same.

Well, I try to be encourage to new members... but sometimes it's just hard.

A new member will say, "I'm so happy to be in a Christian place where everyone will be agreeable."

I just have to be honest and say, "I think you may have taken a wrong turn."

Thank you Renee, I hope you had a lovely weekend also! Weekends are a relaxing time for me (no regular nine-to-five work days on the weekend) but I do generally have more to do on those two days :giggle: I attend an AA meeting Saturday mornings which is wonderful  I saw my daughter later that day for the first time in a few weeks, as she had been away on holiday and also preoccupied with a departing co-worker one other weekend. She took me out to dinner to a Malaysian Cjinese restaurant we had never been to before (we often go for Japanese :)), and did a little shopping afterwards; all that was following taking her two dogs out for a walk in the park/school yard/community center grounds. My church also hosted their third summer picnic on Sunday, and it was lovely :D I do my weekly grocery shopping after church also (y) I found some time to do some work on a new panel as well  That was all fit in around the hours every day that Bob and I spend together on Skype

I still say it is a blessing to need to zoom in to see, because it really helps in the honing.

Oh how sweet, a picnic with your church family. I am sure it was so lovely outside, eating, visiting and laughing.

The highlight, though, was time with your daughter. I bet you were grinning all the way deep down inside.

Thank you for sharing, Magenta.

For me, I worked Saturday, then a sleep over here with all 4 of my grandchildren. I took three of them with me to church.

Let me share a quick story. I went to pick them up in Kingdom kids after the amazing service to find them all, even my very small 7 year old granddaughter helping put up the chairs. It filled my heart with joy.

I always order steamed moo goo gai pan when I go to my fav Chinese restaurant.

Moo Goo Gai Pan was a fave of mine also in a restaurant of my birth city :D Having lived on the west coast for the last four decades and worked with Asians most of that time, we have often had traditional Chinese ten course meals for our staff Christmas dinners (y) My daughter is now 33 and we do have a very good relationship, which really is a blessing, and for which I can take very little credit. My life is so different now than it was all those years ago... and though we share many similar sensibilities emotionally, she is quite different from me in some ways :giggle::giggle::giggle: Your grandbabies sound lovely :)

My relationship with my girls is the same, good and growing, but I also take very little credit. Also my girls are very diff from me and each other. They have learned much from my choices and mistakes. Praise be to God. They both do have some of mama in them, for sure, just different.
