In the very beginning before space and time,
God chose to create even knowing the results it would bring. To honor free will allowed the true love for God or the denial and hate towards God. Knowing the heartache it would bring, God still chose to create.
Because...

You was worth it!

From the beginning of the human race God was ignored, mocked and every kind of evil was committed in their rebellion against Him. God chose to destroy all the human race except one family.
Because...

You was worth it!

This family grew and populated the earth. Over time despite Gods interventions, the people grew colder, hardened their hearts and closed their ears. God was patient in His plans.
Because...

You was worth it!

Crying out from slavery, starvation, warfare, oppression, and dark times. The people cried out and God heard their prayers. God delivered them from darkness and into the light.
Because...

You was worth it!

Crying out through the monarchs, wars, famines, droughts, diseases and evils committed. God was there working amidst it to bring about the good and His ultimate will. Evil tried but failed.
Because...

You was worth it!

God knew it was time and the only way to defeat evil once and for all. He gave His one and only Son to be born and walk among us. To remind us of who we are and that life wasn't hopeless, a trial, or a negotiation. And so the Son walked amongst us.
Because...

You was worth it!

The time arrived when the Son had to complete His mission on Earth. To save us from sin and death there needed to be a perfect sacrifice, pure and holy to fully bring atonement and redemption for all who accept the Son and the grace that is offered.
Because...

You was worth it!

That night the guards came and arrested the Son. Led Him away to be given a trial. They lied, beat and spit in his face. The next day Pilate had a trial where the Son was sentenced to flogging and crucifixion.
Because...

You was worth it!

He was stripped from His clothes as they clothed Him in a purple robe, made to wear a crown of thorns, and forced to hold a staff. Mocked Him as a false King, continued to beat Him, and began to flogg Him. A whip with tips of sharp bone fragments attached to His skin and with every pull, the Son's flesh would be ripped to shreds.
Because...

You was worth it!

Then they forced the Son outside of the city in order to finish the Job. As they stripped Him naked, placed His body on the cross, they nailed His wrists and feet to the wooden cross. His mother and friends could hear His cries as they began to raise the Son into the air.
Because...

You was worth it!

As the Son struggled to breath, blood loss, the pain of shredded flesh against a board, dehydration, hunger, and gravity pulling His body away from the nails impaling Him. He looks out and says, " Please forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
Because...

You was worth it!

As hours passed the Son of God gave into the trauma and massive damage to His body. He died and was buried in a tomb. On the third day He rose from death as in resurrection and in proving of His divinity and truth. Sin and death had been defeated.
Because...

You was worth it!

The story of humanity replays in our lives. We have rebelled time and time again. Always falling short of the expectations within our mind. But every single time God reminds me that His grace is sufficient for me, for His power is made perfect in my weakness.
Because...

I was worth it!
