Can eternal life be lost? If so. Then why is it called eternal life?

John said we can KNOW WE HAVE eternal life.. So if anyone says we do not have it yet, they must disagree with John

I think it is talling about a persons faith or lack of.

If you gre up in law. Then try this christian thing out. Then in the end decide you do not have faith in this christian thing, your faith is in law. WIll you ever repent and come back to christianity?

The Bible clearly states that God's people are sanctified way before being born. God foresees our lives in advance! He knows what mess we will become.
This is something really touching for me and moves me to tears. God's love is unspeakable.
And it's also very interesting to ponder that we were in communion with God even before physically living. Basically, Jer 1:5 suggests that we have been in the multitude of voices praising Jesus as God's members and sharing in His ETERNAL life WAY before we were born.

I am loving the book of John at the moment , seeing and reading it with different eyes praise God...
I can now say I know His voice , I am getting to know our LORD more and more , I think I am having a big growing spurt

It is like before when I was reading the word , I believe everything because I know it is true , but now it is sinking into my heart , the Scriptures are becoming alive to me if that makes sense...They are renewing my mind in a different way than before...

Love, and the more our love grows the more we know our lord and therefore grow in relationship which is based on love.

That is what God wants, relationship.
He did not create robots.
If he did not create robots why did he create us.
God is love, he created us to know this love.

He does not want us to work/obey to be accepted/saved.

A lot of people Get confused, thinking that TASTED THE HEAVENLY GIFT, and BECAME COMPANIONS WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, is talking about TRUE CHRISTIANS. IT IS NOT, it is only talking about those who have come close to becoming a REAL CHRISTIAN, but failed TO RECEIVE HIM AS THEIR PERMANENT LORD, meaning MASTER. I like the HCSB, because they chose to use the word "companions", which clarifies that it is not US, because we who have been INDWELT by the Holy Spirit. They are something LESS than a REAL CHRISTIAN.


Hebrews 6:4-6 (HCSB)
4 For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, became companions with the Holy Spirit, [WE HAVE CONSUMED THE HEAVENLY GIFT, AND HAVE BEEN INDWELT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, NOT SOMETHING LESS.]
5 tasted God’s good word and the powers of the coming age,
6 and who have fallen away, because, to their own harm, they are recrucifying the Son of God and holding Him up to contempt.

They are believers.
Tasted the heavenly gift is figurative language for being born again.

Amen to that migo......saved to the UTTERMOST, SEALED with the Spirit UNTO the day of redemption, kept by his power by the faith the HE initiates as the SOURCE OF SAID FAITH DEALT IN MEASURE and he FINISHES and COMPLETES what he started and he shall LOSE NOTHING.....it is ABSURD to believe that a MAN can lose or forfeit salvation in any way, shape or form.

EVEN if we BECOME FAITHLESS (after FAITH that saves) HE ABIDES faithful because HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF.

What salvation losers cannot see to grasp or receive it is the fact that HIS BIRTH, LIFE, DEATH and RESURRECTION are applied UNTO MAN dia FAITH, his righteousness is IMPUTED by FAITH without the deeds/work of the law and when the HEAVENLY FATHER SEES US through the BLOOD of his SON he SEES US AS JUSTIFIED, RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY IN SPIRIT.....AND HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF....we are BORN SPIRITUALLY of INCORRUPTIBLE SEED from above that DOES NOT SIN, IS ETERNAL and FOREVER RIGHTEOUS before the throne....

AND WHEN we sin or fail too many times GOD will whip the crap out of us (chastisement) as SONS and GOD only WHIPS SONS.....think on that real HARD and then apply........!!
