Hello I am a divorced mother of two kids (13yo boy and 10yo girl). Been a fighter and survivor my whole life. Lately feeling really tired and getting more and more frustrated with not really getting the answers from God. A recent failed relationship made me realise it is time to stop chasing after one. There's so much to chase after the relationship with God and Jesus, I should focus on that for now. Not sure where this platform will lead me to in this journey but will just figure out somehow. At least I know I am among some of you who, like me, are not perfect but are always trying our best in life and share the same faith.

You're going to fit right in here because none of us is perfect, and most are trying their best and sharing their faith.

There is quite a few divorced members and a few with young children so please know that you're not alone in this. In regards to future relationships it is best to allow God to search someone who is loving and faithful and is your heart's desire.

I can understand your frustration about getting the answers that you are seeks so I will pray for God to provide for you clarity of thought on how to best proceed in your spiritual walk with the Lord.

Glad to have you as part of our family and I am looking forward to your posts. Welcome to CC.

blue_dragon...welcome aboard. Looks like you are so in the right direction, chasing and seeking Him more than anything.

I came here, feeling super lonely, in a season of longing for connection of any kind. I was feeling pricks from my past and isolation; they left me feeling very wounded. Many here were kind, and remained that way, and though I found comfort in the fellowship with the brethren (something I really am grateful for), it was what they inspired me to do that really helped. I was a believer, a bible reading, God revering child of the most High, but I was not spending enough of my thought and time directed towards Him. I was too focused on the pain, some of that was hormones, lol, some of it was lots of things, like chasing for love and acceptance from mankind. Ugh@ that futile and exhausting practice, huh?

Anyway, my heart reaches out to you, as your introduction resonates with me. Many here are walking with you in the desire to commune more and more with our most amazing, most fulfilling, most sustaining, most powerful Savior. He is our answers, every last one of them. He sets us free.

I will add you to my prayers. I too hope you enjoy your stay here and look forward to seeing you around.

Welcome and nice to meet you. You are on the right track by focusing on the Lord for your own well-being and that of your children. 'Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and these things will be added unto you' Mt 6:33, God bless you and your family!

You're looking for answers to... ???

It's usually easier to find answers if we can identify the questions.

Without knowing you, I would say to bring you to Him and His purpose for your life and the lives of your children. He is good and loves you very much. He is our stability, our rock, and in Him we find our rest. I know that all sounds so cliche, but it is true.

He and His love are the only
constants we can truly surrender to as well as lean into. He is the One we can fully trust in all seasons of our life.

You and yours are so precious in His arms, because He is the most precious of all.

Hugs from a far with Him in mind.

I have no problems with believing in Him for all of that. Maybe I am just impatient to want to get to the next milestone. It just seems to me that He has been training me for a long time now, through all the circumstances He has put me in. But of course, who are we to question His timing...we will never know, and it could be when I am much much older, too old for my liking to finally realise my purpose, but never too old in His eyes I guess.

Oh boy do I understand that patience thing. Bites me in the hiney on the regular. You been having a rough go of it for awhile? You said a fighter all your life. Hugs. I am sorry to hear that, but so pleased you are turning to him. I have two kids as well, mine are adults now.

I am going to pray for you tonight. I hope you call out to Him as well. Let's just get through one day at a time, dear blue.

I am hopeful to see what He has in store for you. ❤🙏

Your purpose is no secret or hard to find. God Word tells us our purpose. To know God, to Grow in Christ, to Serve God and Others and to Share God.

Dont give up for we all have fallen short of the glory of God. We was set free in Christ, redeemed from past, present and future sins. No longer a slave to death or sin.

Romans 3:23-24
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

But in warning Paul reminds us in Romans 6 that growing in Christ should produce fruit as this Luke 9:23 involves us to carry our crosses daily.

Romans 6
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

Luke 9:23
23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

We as believers must wrestle with the flesh and and let the Holy Spirit guide us. When we fall short and find ourselves in sin. We must not let us enslave ourselves and trap us. As this is what the evil one wants. Scripture calls us to repent, correct your relationship with God and move on to the production of fruit.

Matthew 3:8
8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.

Rather it be trials, persecution, or the consequences of sin that brings us suffering we must remember that in all circumstances God can work with us to bring about Kingdom good if we surrender and let it be thy will be done and not my will, will be done.

Romans 8:28
28 We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.

The suffering you have experienced in life is in many ways God working in the situation for good. Your like a diamond in the rough, dirty, hidden and in less the right person knows what to look for, your just another rock. But in the eyes of the right person they know how precious you already are and has a plan and purpose for you. So the finder shapes you and polishes you until you are perfected by the hands who first sought you.

Romans 5:3-5
3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

God knows you and first seeked you. God knew the imperfections and future failures. All you had to do was respond and believe He could shape you in His image. This shaping produced preserverance, character and hope.
His grace is greater than our failures and we are perfected in Christ.

2 Corinthians 12:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Live into your purpose, your identity as a child of God. Your past is the past and live free in Christ. You are precious in His eyes for He bleed and died for you. For anything told to the believer that is already written down we are told to abide in Him. The time is now until death that we act on the Words of God. Know, Grow, Serve and Share. This is our purpose and this is our calling.

God bless you and Welcome.

A warm welcome to CC, sister blue_dragon. There are others here who are in the same situation. You are among friends and we love you so much. I am soooo glad that you are saved. That means that our trouble and pain is only temporary. I can hardly wait to see you there. In the meantime, I will pray with you and for you. God bless and keep you.
