I'm thinking about signing up for counseling online but idk if it is a good idea. It is expensive and idk if it will do much good. But I have been depressed and everything for a long time now.

Hi Selenah sorry to hear re your depression. There are free counselling services here in Oz but I don't know where you are from. We have Lifeline here - is there anything similar like that where you are?
Have you got any friends, family or a pastor you can talk to? Talking is the best way to start getting to grips with your depression. You also probably need bloods done as well and a physical by your doctor, just to rule out anything else. Many things can cause depression, and it's hard even for depressed people to sometimes even figure out WHY they feel depressed. There is actually alot we don't know about depression, but we are learning all the time.
I found this free one online: https://www.7cups.com/ - looks OK.
My prayer for you: Heavenly Father, please help Selenah in her time of need, listen to her and support her through all her trials. Bless her with wisdom to seek the help she needs, and send her compassion & knowledge to help her.
Cheers :)

God's Word tells us to 'cast down anything that is contrary to the gospel of Christ.' Start replacing negative thoughts with the promises God has left. One favorite Verse is 'Cast ALL your cares on Him. because He is caring for you'. One of my favorite preachers said to write your cares on a piece of paper, toss them up to the Lord, then crumble them up and throw them in the trash.
The founder of TBN, Jan Crouch, was struck w/the spirit of depression bc the enemy knew what her and her husband Paul was starting. One night while asleep she saw a group of men laughing and laughing. She then saw Jesus Laughing out loud and beckoned to her. That broke her depression right there, the comforting thought that Jesus gives us joy everlasting and a peace that passes our understanding.
Btw, did you know the Word tells us not 'to worry' 365 times. Make some post-it notes and put Scriptures around your place, I do, God bless you!

Stress raises cortisol levels ( the stress hormone) which robs your body of certain vitamins and minerals. I would get plenty of B and some D vitamins, with additional supplements of magnesium and omega 3's, which can all help physiologically.
These other suggestions of prayer and scripture are also helpful, as well as, sunshine and Gods creation. Get some alone time with God in nature with some sun and wind. These can help physically and spiritually. Another boost of spirit, is give of yourself. Sacrifice your time, talent or energy, for someone, or something, greater than self.
A whole body approach helps you heal quicker, and have a reduction in symptoms.
May God bless you, and use what your going through, for your good, and His glory.
