ONCE AGAAIN ITS OOOOOOOOON!

2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
These verses are talking about foreknowledge, election, and predestination.

Salvation includes ALL of the following

A. Foreknowledge

B. Predestination

C. Calling.

D. Regeneration

E. Justification

F. Adoption

G. Sanctification

H. Preservation

I. Glorification

Most of these happen in time

That is NOT SAYING WE ARE SINLESS, The NASB, ESV comes closer to what it really means. IT IS SAYING BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN WILL NOT CONTINUE TO HABITUALLY SIN, or PRACTICE Sinning (as in what you PRACTICE, you will get BETTER AT IT). YES, you need to own up to your sins ever time.
I wish I coulg give you a thousand thumbs up. 🙂

This had me rolling for some reason...:ROFL::ROFL: oh. goodness. HAHAHAHAHAH.
The heresy I was speaking of was one that confused the two natures of Christ with two persons.

Kjv does the same thing with Christians, speaks of the two natures as if they are two people. For he says he can practice sin without his new man sinning at all

That seems slightly gnostic to me.

Your explanation of 1 John 3 is SPOT ON. But kjv doesn’t believe in sinless perfection. He believes that 1 John 3:9 and other verses teach a Christian is sinless even if he or she lives in habitual sin, because it is the old man sinning and not the new man that is sinning. So in his paradigm that makes him sinless. That is how he interprets 1 John 3:9

I disagree with him. I believe God has given us a new nature so that we can put off the old man with his works and put on the new man, created in Christ

We either follow the flesh or the Spirit. He doesn’t seem to understand that

I honestly don't believe that's what he believes. In fact he just stated so. I don't understand why instead of a true communication people rarely listen anymore and is why I typically don't post on this type of topics it's a waste of time.
But that's not why I laughed. I laughed because people get accused all the time on cc of all these heresies that you've usually got to Google to find out what it is. I think we need to step down sometimes take a deep breathe remember we are talking with our brothers and sisters and so on...

Man.... You live in too good of a neighborhood! A GOLF COURSE?

The guy that just moved 3 floors upstairs to me was JUST RELEASED from prison for MURDA' :D

Seriously though: You got a GREAT POINT that I always make. LIVING MORAL LIVES DONT SAVE NOBODY. Jehovah's witnesses live great lives, as do mormons, buddhists and maybe even GoldenStateWarrior fans! (Last one very unlikely).

What makes the difference then between a morally upright mormon and a born again believer? FAITH! Without FAITH its impossible to please GOD!
You also have relative moralism if you think about it (except GSW fans, lol)

Whose moral guide are we using to determine they are moral?

I never heard all this GNOSTIC talk until I came to CC. and I have been to many churches all over the country.

I have heard of gnisticism (is n the bible) bt to say people are gnostic today? Never heard it till I arrived at CC.. and I do not agree with it at all.

By this do you mean the possibility of tares becoming wheat?
No.....the both saved comment was directed at my grandma and grandpa <- both saved. The bible is clear....the wicked go astray from the WOMB.....and the parable is clear...the tares are the children of the devil.....

To say that one can sin in the body, but not be sinning because it is not the spirit doing it, is one of the results of gnostic teachings, what it leads to

The born again man in me does not sin, he can not sin because he is born of God.
Many cannot grasp the truth that a saved man, whose spirit is born from above by incorruptible seed which is eternally justified, sealed and sanctified positionally in Christ does not sin.....and that is WHY WE ARE ETERNALLY SAVED.......yet....that same sinless spirit born of GOD is still bound in a wicked, fallen, sinful body of flesh that is weak, contrary to God and is not subject unto the law of God and ALWAYS seeks to do that which is wrong.....the spirit is indeed willing, but the FLESH IS WEAK<<-This is the law's inherant weakness and why law keeping or some religious hoop jumping will NEVER SAVE ANYONE

Yes I DID, I do not agree with your Terminology definitions. Man is made up of Body, Soul, and Spirit, every man. The spirit was DEAD, due to the inherited SIN we got from ADAM. When the Holy Spirit came in, He the Holy Spirit Birthed our once dead Human Spirit, into Eternal Life. IT IS NOT A SEPARATE ENTITY, IT IS STILL PART OF THE HUMAN BEING. So if the BODY and the MIND of Flesh SINS, WE MUST CONFESS IT AND OWN UP TO IT AS A FAILURE ON OUR PART. You are trying to evade OWNING UP TO THE SIN YOU COMMIT or OMIT.
so......while PAUL was very much ALIVE without the law once HE SAID->>>SIN revived and I died.....

How did he die seeing he did not die physically.......your premise of him being born spiritually dead does not jive with being alive without the law once and then sin reviving and he died.....How did he die?

Ponder that a bit.....

Maybe you’re the one that missed some posts

A. Kjv said all things are lawful for believers. Even fornication

B. When confronted with 1 John 3:9, he said “my new man does not sin”

C. So if all things are lawful, and one sins, YET DOESNT SIN because the new man isn’t the one doing it, you not only have two natures, but you are arguing for two distinct persons

Point A Bad enough. I don’t even need to state b and c

No orthodox Christian would say grace makes fornication lawful. Not saying we live under the Law, James and Romans and others speak of a higher law. The Royal Law and the Law of life in Christ Jesus

The body of sin has been deprived of power. The new man is in no way subject to the old man. The new nature is NOT bound by the old nature. We have been given liberty

Reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to Christ...sin shall have no dominion over you. Indicative statement. Do not let sin reign in your body. Yield your members (body) as servants of righteousness

We either choose to walk in the Spirit or in the flesh. For a Christian, we have freedom to choose

No one is saying “keep Law”

You act like the body runs the farm for believers. The Spirit, not sin needs to reign in the body.

Are we to conduct ourselves in the flesh or the Spirit?

What does something that has been robbed of its power and dominion ( body of sin) have to do with our freedom in Christ? Nothing. Unless we willingly yield ourselves to something that has no real power over us

Christians living in habitual sin is due to not reckoning the things Paul said in Romans 6-8

But kjv did say all things are lawful for believers and that 1 John 3:9 meant that it is the new man that does not sin And DC says our new nature does not sin, yet we do continue to sin because our new nature is bound in a sinful body.

While DC is correct on the point that we do live in a fallen body and we do sin, it is incomplete in that form, because The correct teaching is that we BY THE SPIRIT gradually and progressively bring our bodies INTO SUBJECTION to the Spirit

Romans 6 and Romans 8 teach this clearly

He also said “all things are lawful for christians” MEANS a Christian can fornicate and not be a fornicator.

1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

I will tell you know what I believe, and my friends that you called out here will probably be on board with me, so maybe you'll understand KJV1611 better. The things is, when we believed, and laid our old creature down at the cross, we are hidden as DEAD in Christ. Like Israelites on Passover in their houses.
The law has no jurisdiction over the dead. Since the wrath was already poured upon Jesus at the cross, and if we are dead in Him, there is now therefore no condemnation left for those in Christ.
However, if the old man is dead, it means the new man was born. And this new man is born by the Spirit of God. And by definition Spirit of God can't sin. The new creature in us, thus, hates sin. We are made blameless in Jesus. All sins come from the lusts of the flesh, that fade as we grow in Jesus (Jesus increases in us) and we walk in Spirit. It is faith in Jesus that enables us to "work out" the salvation because we have BELIEVED Jesus that He made us the new creature, and as the result of our faith (even though we still struggle with the flesh yet believed what we couldn't see yet) He grows stronger and bigger, "the Christ is being formed in us" and the old man finally dies and gives out his last zombie scream. lol

For the people who want to abuse and trample the blood of grace, I'd say their old unregenerate man is pretty much alive and kicking.
