NLT Christians should be kind to each other (Ephesians 4:32) Be kind to people who treat you wrongly (1 Thessalonians 5:15) Chose to be kind rather than to argue (2 Timothy 2:24) Being kind takes effort (2 Peter 1:5-7)

Yes.
Its harder for many people to be kind, some find it easier to be cruel or indifferent. But thats cos its habit, if you get in the habit of practising kindness, you get better at it.

Another interesting thing about kindness, is that God created animals after their own kind, meaning they were the same as each other, they belonged to the same family. Even though on the surface we have our differences, which is great because we are diverse people, underneath it all we are basically the same. Our blood is the same...its red, and when we cut ourselves, we all bleed.

I love what my little guy observed today! We ordered take out, and after getting my boys from school ran by to pick it up. I parked in front of the door and told the boys to stay put in the car, I'd run in to get it right quick. I was leaving with a big box full of food (this particular place doesn't bags, but puts to use all the boxes that deliver the restaurant supplies) and had it (big as it was) in one arm. Now being a mama, getting through doors with my arms full has become second nature (hey, that's why God gave us moms strong hips :LOL: ) the young man sitting at the table by the door saw me coming, got up and got the door for me :D
One the way home I was asking my boys (who we have been teaching to open and hold doors for others) if they saw what happened when I left. As we're talking about it, my 6 year old says "He was really showing you kindness huh mom?
love love love!
(made my day a little brighter too ;) )

According to the Apostle Paul, the two main "ingredients" (so to speak) in godly love are, "patience" and "kindness" .. 1 Corinthians 13:4.

~Deut

Lamentations 3
22 The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;

Great is Thy faithfulness.

That one challenges my soul sometimes. Lately, some of the kindest people I know have been treated so poorly. Inside I hurt for them and so badly want to call these people out on their behavior and actions, but deep down I know that the Lord wouldn't want that. Thank you for sharing the scripture.
