I am so grateful for the word…

Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.
Titus 3:1‭-‬2 ESV

For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.
Titus 3:3‭-‬8 ESV

He is so amazingly beautiful, so powerful, so merciful, so compassionate, so life giving. We can always find refuge and purpose in Him. He is the One we can trust, in good times and bad. He, unlike man, is not fickle, saying one day I want communion with you, another day deciding we are no longer worthy. He welcomes us, spiritually heals us, cleanses us, quickens us. He is so loving, merciful, long suffering, patient and kind and He helps us to be those things as well. He helps us to show His love.

I may not have it all figured out. I know that I do not. I doubt I'll ever come into complete agreement with any theologian on every aspect of their doctrine. Does anyone? Since no man is perfect, I don't expect them or all their interpretations to be without error, myself included. I think in order to be teachable, we have to go before God, humble as a child, not to man or even to ourselves. He is the One and only way. I see pride in man, so very much. Have you seen it too? It runs a muck.

I see Glory in God. He is the One we should go to, the One we should continue to rely upon because He is the One who sustains us. He is sufficient, and His grace abounds so that our good works can also.

I love my brothers and sisters. He has given us each other. I am so grateful for those in the flock that hold one another other in their hearts, who apply the brotherly, merciful love we are called to, knowing to whom we belong, never wanting to cause harm or stumble, not assuming or thinking the worst, just genuinely caring for one another. Hey, we can all grow in the familial love to which we are called; on this, I think we can all agree.

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.
Colossians 3:12‭-‬15 ESV

Sure we can and should take pleasure in the fellowship, companionship and comfort we bring to one another, big time, yes. Still, He is the ultimate sustainer and comforter. He loves us as no man can.

We are so blessed and though I do not agree with everything John Piper believes, I do appreciate this quote...

"God is most glorified in you when you are most satisfied in him".

It is a beautiful truth, in that He is so much more than enough in every way!!!

May He always be the desire of our hearts.

Much love in Christ to you and yours. God Bless...❤🙏

I do believe in finding a good bible based church and seeking counsel and coming together to reason, but ultimately faith is a very personal thing, that should be shared with others with our tender loving care and in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ that we ourselves come to on our humble repentant knees.
