Mine is basketball because I grew up playing it and watching the lakers.
I loved playing football in my younger years. Dreary, overcast days with temperatures in the 40’s-60’s running, diving and tackling in the mud getting as dirty as I possibly could. Great times with great friends. Best days of my life. 😎

On another note, I usually get to one, sometimes two football games a year. Today I’m going to the Bears/Eagles game in Philadelphia.

Mountain biking as a participant.

Hockey or football as a spectator.

both of our lives were filled up and over with (sports) for so many years = when we look back upon all of that wasted-time,
it is truly un-believable how deceived we were and how we so stupidly bought into the spell of such non-sense!!!
it's really surreal!!!- how 'cow-like' we were...

I love golf, equestrian sports and cycling. On the spectator side, golf, horse racing, show jumping and sailing regattas are favorites. I’ll watch a few events from Olympic games and tennis on occasion.

Football is my favorite sport, and the movie "Jerry Maguire" one of my favorite movies about sports because it had some good messages about sports ethics, safety, and being real in relationships, and friendships, and sports, and everything done for God's glory- and the value of having friends of other cultures -. and not stereotyping (profiling/Judging others by appearances) :.
"I've got to FEEL you Jerry!!"
(don't be lukewarm)
And being open and honest with racial relations:
"I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!!!"
(Jerry Maguire shouting into the phone to Rod, the football player who is his last hope for a football client)
Making command decisions, stepping out in faith in life and romantic relationships with the opposite sex.

I'm concerned about football safety. Sports injuries and concussions have grievously effected family members, two brothers being seriously, and possibly permanently injured by unnecessary roughness. I would like to find out what happened, and why two individuals slammed my brothers into the ground with possibly deliberate intentions, or criminal negligence. It is a coaches, and schools, responsibility to ensure that team members are physically fit, and physically able to be in dangerous contact sports.

And accordingly to Jesus, words and social actions can amount to unnecessary roughness, or criminal negligence, or even tantamount to murder, according to the Lord. Paul said we are each to, as he did, consider ourselves to be "worst of sinners," saved only by God's grace Mercy and Grace. Forgiveness is key to all healing of body, mind and spiritual peace. But, forgiveness is not always restoration of fellowship. To better understand what forgiveness means for Christians, please see "Freedom in Christ Ministries," of Dr. Neil Anderson and his fellow colleagues who now run the ministry. I recall reading in his recovery program, "Forgiveness begins with a choice" to obey the Lord, whether we are able to do it or feel it, trusting in God's power for the rest. (paraphrase from memory) "The Bondage Breaker," Dr. Neil Anderson.

Baseball. Used to be football, but its not the same game it once was. Like the XFL though, it's a throwback to a more pure form of the game.

I have always enjoyed playing volleyball, including Olympic competition. And to be perfectly honest, although I probably wouldn't watch it with a lady, this includes women's adult competition beach volleyball. It's good discipline to watch it for the value of the sport and not what teams choose to wear which varies from full pants to shorts, et al. Women have the right to wear what they choose and be appreciated for their beauty, whether modest or contemporary, in accordance to established rules, or traditional customs.
Bit, it is important for Christian parents, schools, and teams, to set reasonable, practical, and safe attire for younger female athletes that focus on the sport. This video shows an example of volleyball skirts over contemporary uniforms.

And the second link is a Christian site to order appropriate, modest attire for young athletes. Young women should learn from a young age that they belong to God, not the world, and should take command of their lives, learn effective self defense including martial arts, and learn how to safety carry a weapon, if that suits their demeanor, and understand that there may be rare instances where the use of deadly force could be necessary to protect themselves or others from threats.

I love baseball. I do not entirely know why. I love the way the ball feels when you hit it just right. I love the season in which is it played. I love the quaintness you can associate with it since it's so old a sport.

I also dig hockey and football. But, baseball's my first sport.

Neat. A shill (rodirozmar) came here to advertise a bodybuilder supplement drug and accidentally dug up an interesting thread. =^.^=

Since the topic is brought up again: I don't have a favorite sport, but my cat is a marathon lounger. She spends many hours each day in a rigorous lounge training schedule. Her favorite technique is called The Boat Anchor, where she makes clever use of the earth's gravitational field to keep herself firmly attached to the floor of my living room.

Does backgammon qualify as a sport?

I mean I know there are tournaments and stuff, but where is the line between a sport and a board game? Does chess count? Does curling count?

Professional Football
I follow the Bears. Close games, especially into the last 5 mins, is so exciting. And following rookie players as they develop their craft is interesting. It's fun to play to.

MMA
I certainly do have mixed feelings about it. I practiced martial arts and I see it as a sport. I appreciate the mental part.

Tennis
Fun to play. Sometimes I'm in the mood to watch.

Real Wrestling
The actual sport wrestling. Used to enjoy doing it. During the Olympics I watch.

Volleyball
Fun to play. Fun to watch. I only watch during Olympics.

Ping Pong, Badminton, Softball
Fun to play.

Pickleball
Looks like fun. I'll have to make an effort to join a group sometime.
