Some days I think I'm already in Heaven. My aches and pains disappear. I can smell the roses in the garden. My dog smiles appreciatively just for my attention. The good wife is in a good mood too.
Yesterday it was very hot. Around 38 degrees centigrade. The swim I had at the beach was the most refreshing and invigorating one I had had for ages. Afterwards I had a meal and every mouthful was magnificent. Then a relaxing documentary had me absorbed as time flew by.
I don't deserve such happiness but I want to publicly thank God for his generosity. God is great and so is life!

eh, I kind of know what you are talking about.

When it's like...brutally cold...and you just go out and see the world. Who else is there? Just you...almost exactly the Lord. I know he sees those sort of things.

I've had meals like you described. Nothing can compare. and to be fair...I don't think the enemy likes anyone "living" as such. To say...I will live this day. I will rejoice in the day the Lord has made and I WILL be glad in it. Regardless of how cold it is, or how unbeckoning it appears on it's face.

Glad you shared. Thanks :)

Thanks for such an uplifting post. Today I was feeling very flat, very detached and this made me smile. God is so good. Thank you for the word picture.

if one thinks that they are 'are already in 'heaven' while living on earth and experiencing many of its wonders/pleasures,
then one has a 'lot to learn', for this is 'satan's play ground, he will take/eat you at your most pleasurable moments...

Praise God for all His blessings both small and great. But nothing in this life can be compared to heaven. Even if someone is living well, there is someone else living a rough live, and you are saddened by that person's grief.

But praise God, when we get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!

He will wipe away every tear from our eyes. There will be no inequality, no poverty, no sickness, no war. Everyone, not just some, but everyone will be happy over there. Praise God.

Let's meet by the river over on that beautiful shore...

No, I'm not in heaven in dis ol' sinful world.

You're such a ray of sunshine. :p

I think we make our own Heaven or Hell here and now. If we want Heaven live in the peace of Christ. If we want Hell, don't.
And whatever you do, if you meet someone fond of Hell, don't let them take you there. Bring them into your peace.

Indeed, one could have a "lot to learn", man has much to teach...Or one could just stay in the word.

You sound genuinely upset, sarcastic even, that people find Heaven right here on earth.
Heaven is lala land?
How sad for you that you are one who prefers finding this world to be Hell.
I will not be your neighbor.
Do not be upset that I am alive in a different address. 7, promised land, unit: John3:16,In Christ, USA.

Amen.

I see. So its a choice. By simply wanting to have heaven on earth we will have it?

This is just like when someone said slavery was a choice.

So the suffering people in this world are being negative, because they don't see themselves as having heaven on earth?

It's nice when things are going well in our lives. We all want that sure. But if I am living well yet others are not, how am I in heaven? Heaven is when everyone is happy, and not just ourselves. That will happen over there. Not here.

My interpretation of "More Faith Required"'s statement was that he was content and grateful to God. I saw it as an expression of joy rather than something literal. It reminded me to dwell on what is true, pure and noble in my life and to count my blessings. I am currently in crippling pain so it was a good way to refocus.

Some people can be joyful despite their suffering. Ive met joyful people in wheelchairs.
As lh said I was expressing my gratitude. when things go well for me, i feel its a glimpse of Heaven. And when things dont go well, I can be the biggest complainer of all! 😁

Thank you for you post. It was obvious what you meant and it was uplifting. Some people don't want to be uplifted though. In my opinion you should be able to identify those in Christ by their joy. We have the Holy Spirit indwelling, how can that not make you joyous?

This world is very far from perfect and people who love this corrupt world are in for a big surprise on the day of judgement..

So we should not have any pleasure in this world? Don't come to the Philippines, the happiest place in the world.
